Younis hundred waiting will be the most selfish decision ever.

This is smart.

Grind the Aussie bowlers into the dust.

Looks like Clarke has given up and is preserving the pacers.

It won't be so smart if Aussie escape due to this approach.

One, Pakistan batted slowly after being completely on top today.
Two, you don't know whether you can dismiss Aussies in one day. Usually in 5th day track, you can but not sure about this pitch.

Convict did you read this? :))

Clarke has a bad record in 4th innings (averages 35) which is surprising for a guy who is supposed to be a gun vs spin.

they wont declare until Yk scores century otherwise it will b another controversy

When was the last time Australia batted more than 100 overs on a day 4-5 in the SC?

The lead is way above any chaseable target. they are looking for centuries.

The pityh is getting flatter and Warner threat cannot be ignored.

That guy is in the form of his life.

Pak should have batted faster earlier.

Now they need to ramp it up real big.

australia is on the defence here.......... sarfaraz has just come in and deep midwicket, deep square leg and long on is already in place

have to get 450 here, so australia just think of surviving and try to draw......

YK just need only 14 more runs which might most probably take 10-12 minutes. Some people crying to declare right now or We'll loose is just hilarious :))

maybe 2005 when they did it last. Think they have done it 5 times ever total they have batted out 100+ overs to draw a game.

Aus aren't going for the win, Clarke has clearly given that up. Why else would he keep the spinners on and let the Pakistani's score runs?

Younis is on 88 and no problem in letting him score some when he is playing fast.

:six

It may not look like a day 4 or 5 wicket now as Pakistan are batting, but when Australia bats again, we might see something else.

Those 20 mins might cost us a win.... This makes no sense at all to me. Younis 100 is not that important.

If this match goes on wire Pakistan will win it. Although I dont think one should bat for his 100 but Pakistan got a plan I think to bring the lead to 450.

Imran Khan once declared himself on 96. That is why he is our greatest captain. Cares about the win, not silly records.

Warner has never scored a double century in international cricket.

I'm not sure why you're expecting him to score 300

Could be the flattest wicket in the world but it's still difficult to bat out 100+ overs when you've been belted like Aus have over 4 days. They just don't have those head strong type of players these days.

Nope, the question is - How many Australian batsmen do Australia have that can bat out 20 or more overs.

Aussies scored 300+ on a Chennai track due to Clarke century. Most of the team was gone yet 1-2 clicked and 300 was posted.

And that track was way way tougher than this.

When you are 260-2 in a Day 4 track, you need to plan for other scenarios too.

Pak are the overwhelming favorites but it does open a window of opportunity for Aussies to draw if this pitch is getting easier to bat on.

You gotta account for that too.
