Oh well, we had fun for 9 months with the Champions title, eh?

Let's look forward to the 50 over world cup, I guess...
 
Well, we played well and ... just got a little over-confident
in the end there. Kinda gave it away really. Oh, well.

We dominated for 98% of the game and still lost?????

I don't know who to blame........Ajmal has never gone for that many before......
 
stupid stupid bowling what else i can say ? picting short not once not twice but MANY times.....
 
Well played Pakistan. Gave it their all. Sadly, they ran into a red hot Michael Hussey. Class player, great effort on his part!

I guess apart from akmals and amir everyone else was poor. Ajmal should not of bowled the last over
 
I said it a million times in these forums, our bowling lacked depth and we needed Sami instead of garbage Hafeez.
 
How can we loose after scoring 191.....bowlers really give it away today...Well played Ays and our batsmen

Wow! Even 250 wouldn't have been enough today. But we played our hearts out. Kudos to Pakistan team, what a turnaround. Take a bow boys!
 
I checked the score after the first innings and Pak had scored 191 and our bowling was shyte, then we lost Twatson and Cowlasher early. How did we ever come back from this???

I guess it comes full circle, Australia dominated the whole tournament....so they deservingly went to the final.
 
This hurts alot. A bitter pill to swallow. Ian chappel will go on about this for years to come
 
Poor Ajmal......feel sorry for him.
You cant always expect spinner to contain batsman.....he has done it so much......wrong time for him to concede that many....

pucnh first afridi for giving 2 short bowls to hussey were he 2 6s. Than Ajmap could not learn and keep bowling short *** was amir bowling ? :po: :po: :po:
 
I guess all those easy singles earlier cost us - yet we should never ever have conceded something like 50 odd off three overs!! Not when they were 7 down!

Also, giving too much strike to Hussey..However these are small things...Sometimes you just have to step back and admire a performance...

Hussey was brilliant.............we were praising Ajmal last over vs SA
 
hafeez and afridi overs really let the steam out at a time when they were under pressure and losing wickets!
 
we gave it our best, well played both teams. great match. sad that pakistan lost, but this happens in cricket, just that with us vs aus it happens too often. anyway i hope eng win the world cup.
 
If we had had Umar Gul, we wouldn't have given
6's away, like they were nyaaz ke luddoo.

Pakistan couldn't have done anything else. This is the best they could play but it's Australia and nothing is impossible for them. Well played Pakistan!

Hussey was absolutely aswome...not enough superlatives to describe his innings...
 
really I cant believe how poor the bowling was at the end. The less we talk about the fielding the better
 
poor captaining there... last over always belongs to fast bowlers... Aamir shouldve been kept till last..oh well sh*t happens

Yeah exactly because that was a good over, this was not. He bowled short to Hussey and kept doing it after he was getting smashed for sixes all around.

We had this game and I can't believe we gave it away in the last over.
 
Its time to invest in youth now. Dead wood must go now. The tournament has shown that only our young players have performed

Urmmmm NO, Shi* happens when you lose every now and then not when you lose just about every game you play against OZ...
 
pull out my messages and see how many times I said during Pakistani's batting innings from the first ball ........ "we require 200" !!!


But anyway ... super game of cricket !!! Well played Pakistan,, Well Played Australia.
 
what i should say to afridi saying that we lost because of Ajmal... how stupid ever thought about ur own bowling figure with hafeez figure.

Should ONLY have bowled yorkers.....

i m in lahore... 30 mins later roads are roaring with pakistan zindabad but now there is no one there.... :(
 
aus has the mental edge over pak...

actually i would have backed hussey against ajmal seeing how he took him apart in the over before that

husseys strength was hitting legside and ajmal fed it

in the hindsight...Aamer should have bowled the last over and not ajmal....Afridi should get as much blame for this loss as Ajmal...Afridi and Hafeez leaked out runs wehn other were stopping them thus keeping Aus in the game.
 
Hussey saying i tried to hit too short boundry and guess what we only bowled there to him..................
 
Just give credit to Hussey and Australia for a great win rather than slagging off Pakistan.
Pak did there best but it was not good enough. I am still in shock but hopefully get over it by 2morow.

Well pakistan didnt deserve to make the finals, so perhaps sods law worked against them, heres to 2012!

I don't believe that for a second. We just weren't good enough towards the end. Our bowling failed us, and that's the only reason Australia won. I think the players let it get to their heads too soon. Saeed Ajmal was laughing before he started bowling as if we already had the game.

Yeah, and forgot that he and hafeez bowled when they were losing wickets and under pressure. Why garbage hafeez was playing instead of Sami, I said a million times that our bowling needed depth especially with hafeez being garbage!
