Oh give up already! We have seized the initiative and are in a driving seat. Have you been watching the series or do you only come out when Pakistan are 'apparently' not doing well? Your 'worst thing to happen to Pakistan cricket' has won us a series against the number 1 team and is looking to white wash them!

It doesn't have to be tuk-tuk vs bang-bang - there is a happy medium. Younis Khan demonstrated how one can keep the scoreboard ticking over and rotating the strike. Azhar Ali is young and has all the tools - he'll learn.
 
Pakistan should win it easy, having said that Mishab should have been pro-active in his approach
still the pitch is turning and puff of dust coming out bad omen for struggling english batsman

Pitch isnt easy, look how we've just had a mini collapse.

So obviously they played the way they did for a reason, if they had got out being too extravagant we wouldn't even have a 300 lead.

They played it right.

Any way we should have more than enough runs already LOL.

This has been Englands session and have come back very well, looks like we wnt even get to 350 unless Gul can play a cameo
 
utterly disgraceful batting after we were looking set for 400 about half an hour ago! :facepalm:
 
Swann once again picking up tail-enders wickets to make the pundits in the studio happy. Monty has once again completey outbowled him.
 
How many other fast bowlers in the world to field at slip and snaffle catches? Anderson's an exceptional athlete.
 
this is really disappointing....we should have grinded them out of the game we have now given them an opening
 
Azhar Ali not willing to change his pace.... They will be all out before he gets 150....

Not everyone is Younus Khan, nor everyone can be. Misbah and Azhar did well to keep England on the field, even if they did not score. When one wicket falls, usually another one or two follow. Don't allow opposition a chance to have go at next batsman.
 
though Pakistan may win it 3-0 they still have miles to go in terms of playing intelligently in the last inning Asad exposed tail to the opposition and now ali taking single on the 2nd ball

Are you high? How many teams in history have chased 300+? And how many teams which collapsed for under a 100 in the previous 4th innings have? Relax, everyone's being retarded here :danish
 
England will get 350-odd to win.

Let Azhar get to 150 then I think we'll see more attacking play from him.
 
The pitch has tried out considerably. Ok, we are annoyed about the collapse but the ball is now spinning sharply.

We should go out and try and get another 20-30: then let the spinners rip v England.

looks like you clearly didn't read my post...if this pitch is so difficult, how come :yk was picking the 1s and 2s? this attack on people wanting bit more strike rotation from the batsmen is getting redundant...blocking is not the name of the game...this is a poor finish on what was looking like a dominant batting performance!
 
Azhar has a bit of a part in the wickets as he exposed the tail relatively early in the over. Abdur rehman should bat at number 9.

misbah inning was also a strange innings , nasser hussain said it well a blockathon.


but this azhar ali now taking the biscuit with his ugly innings, doesn't this guy have any gears can he shift his mode of play like younis khan did yesterday.

wickets are tumbling around him he is the set batsmen and is not taking charge and responsibility

he is still batting with a strike rate of 30 , i think someone should tell during tea we only have 2 wickets left , gul and cheema who are just about hopeless, so he better shift gears and start to look to find some boundaries and quick runs and get that 308 lead as close to 400 as possible.

i reckon we need a minimum of at least 350 so our spinners can make a game of this.
 
If Azhar doesn't attack after his 150 then it is very selfish on his part
 
nothing to panic about, Azhar just need to keep the strike when he comes out play.

350 would be a health target to chase given that the ball is turning. 300 is not bad though

Fair enough, but I do think Azhar is a tremendous talent who will learn how to better milk the bowlers once he's on top. Misbah, well, he's at the age where he simply knows his limitations and operates well within those parameters.

Ditto. Can't believe the trolls have come out just when Pakistan had an 'apparently' bad session. They think England can 300+ chasing last on a turning track. What have they been watching? Why do they even doubt the kuptaan? In Misbah we trust...
 
Not a bad comeback by England, but I'm far too annoyed by the rest of the series to smile. Chasing 350 should be the bare minimum requirement to repay the loyalty of the fans.

Pakistan have batted England into submission. Just because they've lost a cluster of wickets which has happened in all games to BOTH sides, does not change that.

I can afford to be now that we are 2 nil up and have caused collapse after collapse in the England line-up.

yes i have on sky, although the box is playing up today due to the snow.

england have been hopeless against spin


but they have 2 days and i reckon they will be up for the fight this time because a lot of their batsmen are now playing to save their careers for sri lanka

highly doubt they will get out for 70 odd again.

and don't tell me chasing 300 is not possible in 2 days for england their still good players
 
Pakistan should let Azhar get to his 150 and then declare.

They had 2 days to chase 150 runs in the last match when they had a chance to equalise the series. Do you know how many of that they really got?

meh 400 should've been the aim after we were 300/4...anyways, tuk combined with strike rotation is the way to go!

The same tail slugged it out in the last test match and set up a (winning) 150 total. Are you suffering from short term memory loss? Seems like it is going around as many ppers here are displaying the same symptons...

I agree with this but the constant reasoning about batting too slowly is a lame cop out. Pakistan have worn this pitch by grinding out the oppo, and the wicket is now doing some tricks. It's forgivable that they've lost quick wickets on this surface so there's no need to be too hard on them.
