Wonderful statistics in this series as Saeed ajmal has better batting average (10.25) than Ian Bell (8.20) so far," points out Farhan Sahito

:))) :)))

The umpires take however long (or not) they need to be sure. That's it. They got both decisions right. There is no white conspiracy here, which is always the snide implication with such poor posts. Sorry!

What??

White conspiracy? This is absurd.

No it's not, I've been reading these forums for seven years, and a number of posters love their conspiracy theories over harmless umpiring moments. As if commentary threads weren't densely populated enough, we don't need this too.

Anyway, accept that the umpires did nothing suspicious or wrong in getting both decisions spot on correct, and move on.

after having faced 100+ balls, he departed for 31, at least make a 50 if you are going to tuk tuk...lethargic innings from the skipper really!

I doubt very much his intention was to get dismissed for 31 BUT this happens in sports

The team have decided to opt for a specific tactic. I think Misbah has proven so far that he knows what he is doing so perhaps the criticism of him should be eased off, especially considering we are in the driving seat in this game

Why the criticism for Misbah? He's had a pretty good if not a great series with the bat, and has captained competently, though there is a bit of 'my mum could have captained Ajmal and Rehman in this form' going on for me. But still, a key figure in this Pakistan set-up and a big part of their success. Let him alone.

So basically you saw immediately that the decision was out. Or, we could watch it another ten times to give you time to fill your bowl with popcorn and pour a drink?

yes... but I still cant understand it took the 3rd umpire 10 replays to see the big inside edge in the previous decision... I/we were just commenting on bit of "inconsistency" from the 3rd umpire... THAT'S IT...nothing more !

Something tells me if Pakistan had a review he would have given it.

See my point?

Do people actually think how these sort of posts would look to Joe Person reading PakPassion?

Poor stuff.

In the other match India struggling 65/4.

Fixed:misbah

I don't mind tuk tuk if it's balanced with singles and doubles ala :yk style...this is also the reason why strike rotation is important, just blocking alone is not good enough...anyway, he's out, moving on!

Is it just me or did Azhar get from 100 to 130 quickly but his last 9 runs have been really slow?

Either way, he can take as much time as he wants.

For a change the weather up north is much better than down south

Yes, although I think the north west is quite badly affected in some places.

Not sure when I will be getting the signal back, but will have to make do with watching on the PC. Could be worse I guess.

Yeah, possibly. But no doubt Misbah has not had his usual immaculate series, more a good one. He's taken a bit of a back seat at times, which of course he will be happy to do. Ajmal and Rehman have done the damage.

hmmm disappointing from asad but i think he has done well overall in the series....hopefully he will learn with experience...still alot of time in this game yet need to still make a 100 more at least

and there it is, a false shot from :shafiq

all of a sudden 5 down, 400 lead looks difficult now...

how can you give that out taufel having a poor by his high standards

Left hander coming in? Let's see what this rough patch business is really all about...

Monty getting the wickets here. This seemed close, maybe going down the leg?

HOW TO TURN A LOSING MATCH IN WINNING MATCH

take an old batsmen who the ppers wants out of the team :yk and take a youngsters who all the ppers hate (afridite aand lalaland and ipl fan):azhar mixe it and you got a lead of 294

Yes let's move on but please don't just pick on my post for the sale of it! You clearly didn't read my initial post and decided to have a dig.

Please don't do that in future.

ahhaha

Pakistan should now look to up the scoring rate a bit , otherwise azhar will run out of partners soon. Get the most you can get.

Maybe, done well though, all things considered. Field placings when England were chasing 145 seemed perfect, and his bowling changes just seem to have worked.

Why dont they just declare and then put England out of their misery.

:four for :azhar

Swann in nervous 90s and :azhar in nervous 140s.

All pray for swann century and Azhar's 150.

It's funny because before the series you would have backed England to chase down 350 in UAE.

Still do-able in six sessions on a flat pitch. The quality is there in that lineup.

No confidence at the moment though, England will lose.

Ouch. Adnan outdone. That won't help his case. But it's good signs for Ajmal and Rehman.

I still don't think there's much in this pitch for the spinners. Monty taking advantage of some lazy batting.
