I think, the question asked was that why aren't they taking singles.....??

The pitch has deteriorated more. It's turning and bouncing now.

Harder to take singles, and score runs now. They want to make sure we get a big enough lead that we can put as many men around the bat as we can. If they get out playing a rash shot we can easily fold quite quickly while only scoring 40 runs or more as we do have the wort tail in international cricket.

That is why there being cautious.
