This is becoming embarrassing for PAK in ODI. Did this guy Azhar ever led in any club games before? I am asking because I can't recall, may be he led SSGC & Misbah played under him.

Apart from 1st ODI, when once in a blue moon (may be once in lifetime), Anwar took 2 wickets in 1st 3 overs & got ENG 13/3, that led to a PAK win; but I don't think since then, for a single session PAK had any sort of control on the match or ENG. This is ENG & in UAE - probably they 'll be routed by all 7 others teams in such condition & PAK is making them like AUS.

Spot on! How on earth Azhar Ali warranted his selection in ODIs is beyond me, I mean look at him, he doesn't even deserve to be selected as a player alone, how can you assign him the role of captaincy? This is just beyond ridiculous and pathetic from PCB, Pakistan fully deserve the mess they're in atm with the kind of defensive and tactless leader at their helm.

On a positive note, I think this may well be Azhar's last outing in colored uniform if he doesn't deliver with the bat (which I am more than certain), he'll come out with his usual clueless batting technique dancing around the crease with an occasional jumping out to release the pressure he created by blocking only to be found wanting. This is just not his game, I am pretty sure he won't make any team's ODI squad as a player but only in Pakistan, what kind of an imbecile will let an extremely limited and mediocre batsman open the batting for a side? He looks like a tailender on crease.
