I am enjoying Mike Holding's commentary. he's making some cutting comments about the pace and running of the Indians. not very praiseworthy.

Younis batting well but a bit slow. He seems to be middling just about every ball. Rotating strike well.

100 partnership up. Malik getting a nick, hawkeye suggesting it was out but inside edge on Kumble's bowling. Good decision.

The pitch is like the last 2 ODI’s played against England!!!!!

inzidabest: my bad for the mistake on the hundred partnership. Indeed it was a while ago. i wasn't thinking there.

****** off at Malik, after doing all the hard-work he went and threw it away. Rameez suggesting it was due to faulty technique.
 
ball 3 feet outside off stump going further away with the angle and malik shows no footwork. Slams the ball in the air to harbhajan at short cover who takes a good catch jumping up.

To be honest he hit it pretty well but couldnt keep it down or get it over the fielder. But no need for such a shot (is there ever huh)
 
malik lost his concentration...it was a gritty innings, he stuck in there and fought...he definitely isnt a real opener but he did his job
 
Malik played well but threw away his wicket in a typical fashion, got out like this 2-3 times against England as well.

well when u hear them saying its gonna be a green top bouncy gud for fast bowlers thats when they actually mean forget it..its a dead ruber made for spinners!!!!!!!!!!when they say we will make a spinning track thats when its a batting paradise.......

What job? on a flat pitch once you get in you are supposed to get a big score not just throw your wicket away after getting 50 odd runs.
 
easy folks. Malik will later in his career settle as a middle order batsman.Wicket at wrong time. Pak need one big partnership now

hahaha rameez talking about shoaib and the pakistani bowlers as the "real quick ones" and indian bowlers as medium pacers...well said rameez
 
It sounds like this is the same sort of pitch as the pitches in the England series?

I would have preferred a pitch with a bit more in it for the fast bowlers, but I guess the Pak camp's thinking is that they beat England on these sorts of pitches so why not India.

Don’t listen to anything Arun Lal says, he’s MOST BIAED commentator in the world.

Eg: Anything the Indian bowlers do, he’ll go on about how perfect they are bowling for a good five minutes, then YK plays a great square drive and he says, ‘oh, I don’t think he middled that, but he’ll get 4 anyway’

He’s the WORST out of the 6 commentators they’ve got, in fact only 3 of them are decent, the rest are garbage.

thats what u call negative thinking then....england is history now....they never had any world class batters compared to india even irfan pathan can bat now!!better then flintooff..what a pull short by younis 4!!!
 
cavin - in all fairness, those two appeals were iffy.

Younis with a bootiful shot for 4.

You cannot comment on the pitch untill and unless you have seen both the teams bat on the same wicket.
 
guys i was just thinking......why dont we float afridi up the order sometimes??? just think about it balls old wont do anything....bowlers are down.....and if afridi plays well that will be the like killing them not softly though..n then u would have some batting depth once he gets out.....coz the time he comes in the new balls due or perhaps a perssure situation.........just a thought since the spinners were on!!!!
 
hawkie is a bowler (when the replay on hawkie showed the ballwas hitting the stumps :D

i hate ary when they were showing the umpires saying something to kumble they took a break!!!
 
hasn't yousuf changed his batting, he used score low in the begining until he settled in and then turn into a run machine
 
Afridi might be an easy wicket. he needs to make scores more often to claim his stake. I would take him on such tracks though. I would have also taken Farhat and dropped Sami/Rana.and played Malik at 6. I did say "this pitch needs sami" but it needs afridi more than sami
 
someone please explain this to me...ary special offer 180 euros for one full yr...and cricket free??????whats that suppose to mean...they were better off by having pay 180 get all the cricket + our crappy progs free!!
