He does swing it, conventionally and unconventionally. Stop being obnoxious and ignorant.

Watch out New Zealand, Imran is gonna blow your top order away with his new ball swing.:ibutt People with cricket IQ of 2 shouldn't be allowed to post.

Road in Abu Dhabi. What a surprise. Must be for the first time after those green fast tops.
NZ have some of the flattest tracks in the world, Southee has a better average in the SC than NZ :)))

Nice intel kiddo.

Boult is keeping it tight though. If you can't take wickets then the least you should do is build pressure.

Boult is quality but he has struggled on these pitches before so it wasn't unexpected. I still rate him higher than Junaid.

Fair enough.

But to be considered as a world class bowler he will have to perform on these pitches. But he is still young so he will improve.

But but he has a higher average against SL than him.

Wait, he doesn't :P

Only Steyn (ATG) has done well on these wickets, MJ even struggled.

Forgetting a little something called swing? If you're even remotely thinking that bowling in NZ is easier than bowling in the subcon, then you've gone insane.

Swing is only useful in the initial overs, it becomes a batsmen's paradise after that. Ask India.

There is more than a substantial window for opening bowlers to pick off some cheap wickets. Lets not even talk about the bounce.

This is the series where Sodhi needs to perform.

Hes been given a good run despite struggling because of his inexperience but eventually he needs to earn his spot.

LOL yeah, it doesn't go through at knee high 5 overs in on day 1.

Lols, what a joker.

You said that the commentator called this pitch a road. What has Southee to do with it?

We all know this is a road, there has allways been like this. You don't need the commentators judgement to understand this.

I have noticed you derail alot of threads and now you also quickly move away from the comments in single posts.

Your own experts doubt the legitimacy of your 'swing' bowlers action.

First off, Junaid is not a swing bowler - he is a seam bowler who is pacier, and more lethal then your precious Boult in conditions which are not conducive to fast bowling. On pure cricketing ability I would take Junaid in a heartbeat over Boult if conditions are what we are seeing right now. No doubt Boult is an excellent swing bowler but so was Irfan Pathan and Sreeshant. Look how they ended up. Furthermore, Junaid is almost 6-8 kphs quicker than Boult so if he is given an extended run in conducive fast bowling conditions then I would back him to run through lineups. Vice versa Boult is struggling ATM.

You say you are a NZ cricket follower but you have no clue who the better fast bowler is in your team. Southee is a class apart from Boult in terms of cricketing ability and if you compared him with Junaid then i would have acknowledged your comment. To back it up as well, Southee has excellent stats in Asia as well.

One last thing, Lancashire must have seen something in Junaid's bowling to actually call him up for their domestic season. So much for a non existent fast bowler

MJ looked dangerous as have other good bowlers who have the required skills.
Well these guys aren't really seasoned vets now are they? Would have been too much to expect them to perform in these conditions straight away.

Thats why ive always rated Southee higher. I think Boult has the ability to be effective here but its not something you can learn overnight. Hes not bowling poorly i might add he just isn't threatening.

Lol I see the fake kiwi (indian) is crying like a 2yr old. I thought boult abd southee were gonna rip through us on the first day?? Lol.

Junaid doesn't rely on swing to the extent that Boult and Kumar do. He's got other means like the seam movement that you mentioned as well as his pace..

However, he does swing it both ways and I haven't seen either of these two match his performance in that series against India. One more thing that should be kept in mind is that Junaid is yet to tour England or New Zealand or play more than one match in South Africa.

Meh, any pitch where the ball is staying that low in the first session isn't a very good one.

As is any pitch where there is minimal to no turn. Pretty much every pitch down under.

Watch how our 3rd choice pacers make use of what they have here.

Mamoon please help your friend. You seem to know what it feels like to be proven wrong.

Junaid is handy in these conditions no doubt.

He is pretty sharp pace but i have my doubts about his action to be honest.

Easy for ordinary bowlers to look a class or two better when they have a massive total on the board.

Shezzy needs to speed it up. We have Azhar coming in next and need to get our fill of boundaries before that.

I wonder if Misbah will target the fastest 150 in this match.

Upset? I always knew we were going to get caned in the first match.

People Extremely Underrate Junaid on PP which is saddening to see. I will say only one thing, If you can't knock over Hafeez - you're not a world class bowler TBH

Only way we're getting a wicket is if the batsmen make mistakes.

Obviously they are nowhere near Southee or Boult but I'm just saying that they use their minimal ability to the fullest. Indian and Lankan trundlers have done this for ages.

Junaid is handy in these conditions no doubt.

Really? There is a bit of a kink but this is the first time I'm hearing anyone raise an issue over it.

Problem is both seem to be posting opposite of what is natural for them. And in the long run they will struggle to keep it going.

His action does seem a little dodgy  and knowing PCB we won't rectify this issue until he gets warned or suspended.

Pakistan aiming for 500 and do same what they did to Aussies . Nz going to have a torrid time they will never forget this tour

Looks like this 'sapping the energy of opposition bowlers, and then feasting on them' strategy is working out well for us.

Would still prefer some more positive intent shown by Shehzad though.

You know this is a highway when Hafeez is scoring with ease. :yk

Of course it is a GT road, but credit to Hafeez for cashing in. He is a poor batsman so every run from him is a bonus.

Should get a part-timer in and force a mistake from the batsmen.
