time for me to sleep... this is not a test match... its more of one day with pakistani bowlers getting spanked around

Hmm, seems like setting up the post match excuses sorry for being cynical.

Unfortunately I think Sri Lanka are going to smash Pakistan in this match.

Possibly, but having seen his usual run up and hearing about his usual speed, his visible struggle after just 6 overs, one can't be too sure. Specially, like you said, with Pakistan cricket, bowlers won't mention they are unfit because they will not know if they will ever get the chance again. Although, it could be nervousness as well.

That being said, I don't think Sohail is unfit, just nervous. He has spent his career beating up on Pakistan domestic batsmen who are not the most solid players, now he is bowling on super flat pitch to world class Test batsmen who average around 50 and above. Big step up.

Yep, its a big step forward for him, but still its inexcusable to bowl like he did. I dont know if ur watching it live or on cricinfo, but live its even worse... everything just seems wrong, from his run-up till his line
 
Sohail definately not landing enough balls on a good length he is either too short or too full, his speed is picking up and looks to be in better rhythm as well. Should be a good learning experience for him but to write him off after couple of spells is stupid.

Wow Kaneria picks up Sangakara with an absolutely useless delivery.

I have watched all 3 games Sohail Khan has played, he has been about the same speed in all of them.

Lollol I am watching it live :) Is nice to be watching Test cricket in Pakistan.

:younis commentary has been really good, very insightful about the bowlers and not biased. He has improved a lot from when he commentated in Australia, he was awful then.
 
oh no no no, that should of been taken by misbah. Unlucky Sohail, shouldve had his first test wicket.

That would have been regarded as top captaincy - giving a bowler who has been poor, an extra over, and he gets the edge!
 
now it seems that sohail is getting back in rythm. bowling much better. He wud have gotten that wicket also if misbah wuldnt have droped the easy catch
 
Why is Sohail acting like a three year old, I mean that was a sitter but you can't cry to the captain every time a catch is dropped.
 
It seems he was caught napping there, a little late in getting to the ball.
Feel for Sohail, his only chance of the day and the best fielder in the team drops it.

I guess Misbah will not be coming to Sohail to give any further advice. :D

We could have been in a pretty good position, if the LBW had been give and Misbah took th catch.
185/5 looks so much better.

If you thought :younis was biased, I want to know your opinion on Gavaskar and the Aussie team :D

Sohail Khan isn't anywhere finished. He's very raw. Looks like, barring miracle, Talha will come in next game. And by all accounts he's the one with consistent pace.
