We play SL virtually every year, how are you going to hype this game up?
The only superstar in both teams is babar.
People didnt realise shahid afridi's value, he was a crowd puller. Only shajeel or fakhar have the ability to pull crowds but both are out of form for different reasons.

Chameera is built like a twig, his body can’t support the pace at which he bowls.

I’d say no. 5 based on what I saw on him batting at 5 in QeA. I think no. 3 belongs to and has always belonged to Babar. I believe that certain players need to be married to certain spots and Babar for me is no. 3 in all 3 formats.

Only time i never saw that happen in the last 37 year was when saeed anwar and amir sohail were our openers.

yeah, i like my best batsman to come at No3 too. But all these top guys now want to bat No.4 in tests.
It's a shame because I loved watching guys like Ponting and Sanga impose themselves at No3 and counter attack.
 
Just woke up..am i right in thinking if the pitched looked green and we had 3 pacers with them having 2 pacers ..should we not have bowled first

Deep down in your heart you always hope to see some 87/0.

It was also good to see the scorecard when we had a strong middle order with Inzi, yousuf and later Younis.

No marketing and strong security measures are the reasons too , no one wants to go through a million barriers to get to a stadium where only watchable player is babar azam.
 
Babar is very good against the short ball. Today the problem is that ball is rising from good length instead of short length

He faced a lot of short balls in South Africa. Didn't have a problem.
Just because you mistime one short ball, it doesn't mean you have a "problem" with them.

You are a cricket enthusiast , not everyone reads pakpassion. They get to know through tv and reality is that there hasnt been any marketing.

Agreed. I also agree with your point about shan but if it were up to be brutally honest I’d get rid of him and azhar who’s done nothing in his last 13 innings.

It’s kinda funny Pakistan fans shouting for Fawad and Indian fans shouting for Sanju Samson.
 
Asad is looking bad against short pitch bowling too aswell..kumara bowling with fire but he cant keep going surely

There is another problem as well. Can't tell about PAK-IND, but in Dhaka, if I want to watch first ball of a 9:30 start Test match, I'll have to start at 7AM in working days..... then I'll return home after 8:30PM, starting bang on 5:00PM - that's cool 14 hours, by the day end watching a day of Test cricket will make me more tiered than the players playing!!!! Add to that other hassles these days - 40 years back Mo Ali (the Boxer) came to Dhaka and he walked around the boxing arena (named after him), fought mock bouts with common people .... these days even AFG (no disrespect) team is escorted by airborne paratroopers, snipers, dog squad, helicopter battalion..... digital scanners, digital photo ID, mobile jamming ....... it's just not worthy.
 
Quite a show by Lankan pacers - more impressive considering these two might not have even played had Lakmal & Rajitha been available.
[MENTION=132916]Junaids[/MENTION], boss I am sure Arthur's dissatisfaction (of managing 2nd choice talent) has reduced considerably after 1.1 Tests in charge - more preciously after watching PAK pace quartet is 1st session of Day 1 at Pindi and Lankan pair in first session on that NSK track.
 
Hundred in Gabba.
Fifty in Adelaide.
Hundred in Rawalpindi.
Fifty and batting in Karachi.

Babar scoring a 100 here would be equivalent or perhaps better than Labu's hundred against us in Aus.

Asad has shown better form than azhar in last 2 years but unfortunately he's not liked by misbah as much.
Asad the captain would hve been much better because then we could have got rid of our worst batsman for a long time now

Both babar and asad need to score big here. Azhar and shan need to be dropped for next series.

Believe me, while I am set to attend the last three days of the match, most of my casual cricket watching friends don't know about the 50 rupee tickets and the free entry.
 
Still no Fawad. Will he be dropped in next series? If he is I swear I shall never support this weird team again

Number 4 is best option

Ball is older and not much happening if you bat first.

You want your best batsman to have best possible chance for a maximum score

He was better than Azhar in last two years but you have to admit that he is pretty mediocre too as a batsman. Giving him captaincy is not a good idea at all
 
If only we had three Babar’s in our team and two Wasim Akram’s... :D

Well he came to push the ball in the gap but it dipped on him so he tried to just defend it.

Babar cant play spin, that forward defence shot was the type you play to pace, didnt try to smother the spin.
Cant play sweep shots, cant play hooks or pulls - a one trick pony!
