While I agree that Azhar Ali is not an ODI player, it's not fair to blame everything on the captain alone. It's a bit like let's blame Misbah that used to happen here in the past. Pakistan aren't exactly blessed with batting talents in LOIs and Azhar probably deserves his place more than many other batsmen in the team. I'm sure Sarfaraz wouldn't have made a difference in that 444 match, maybe the total could've been 10 or 20 runs lesser.

Both Misbah and Azhar doesnt have that killer instinct or street smartness to take or make decisions quickly..He finished Immad Wasim in the 11th over and that helped him got 5 wickets, if it was azhar or Misbah or Afridi he would have got only 3 and may be a 4th one at the end could've even got belted for 6-10 runs an over at the end...

You don't bamboozle them without the 145kph thunderbolts to create doubts in their minds.
 
If west indies cross 110,it will not be easy for Pakistan with Sunil and Badree in the oppsition team.

Maybe...But the issue is your trundlers can only bowl 120 with a variation of bowling a fast spinner type ball. Wahab on the other hand can crack it up to 150k if needed and that 120kph thunderbolt is the variation rather than the norm
 
Another 35 in last 5 overs, we have a match at hand.

This is not Old Traford & Narine, Badree are not exactly Moeen, Adil either.

True - since Wasim, in last 17 years, 1st time I have seen a PAK Captain trying to get middle orders out in a LO match. Now the team is poor, so it's exposed, but countless time Inzi/Woolmer's team allowed teams to stroll around 5 in middle overs from a 31/2 sort of start.
 
In a 'home series' against West Indies in the UAE, we only really have 2 commies representing us.

I am sorry I don't consider Ramiz a Pakistani commies because he doesn't have anything good or positive to say about his home team.

Another boundary and WI creeping towards a more respectable total. Bravo needs to remain through to the end.

Come on, Wahab is not some débutant. Sarfaraz and I think even Azhar are junior to him. He has been bowling long enough to not get instructions from captains on how to bowl.

Gameplan tho is key. Even veterans like Gul can use that every now and then.
 
Why do we always do this against West Indies? In a winning position, and then let it slip and let them come from behind to hit us hard. 2015 WC, 2014 t20 WC, 4th ODI vs WI tied game...
 
Dew and pace on the ball. The last thing we need. Bring a spinner on if we have any left. The quicks need to take the pace off the ball
 
It will hard to score against Badree and Narine!!! Should not let WI to score over 130

thank god we have wahab to blow away the tail. no one is going to the break the T20 record for 9th wickets partnerships here.
 
Should target something about 130 and hope for Narine and Badree to run through Paks batting line up like they did in the 2014 T20 WC.

Won't, this wicket is beyond that level. Dew works in India or BD (on turning tracks), because the wickets are built on firm base, hence it skids on to bat - these are like soaked slack, ball'll die, but yes, the dead slow turn will be eased out with dew, hence batting second is better.

commentators observed communication between sarfraz and wahab for every ball..
 
Unless the Pakistani opening hack gets lucky today, this is going to be a close game.
