Pakistan VS England 2nd ODI: Score Updates! (Pak Innings)

33.2 Clarke to Inzamam-ul-Haq, FOUR, its dark, but Inzamam can see this ball just fine, its banged in slightly short and he sees it early and slams it over midwicket for four, the fielders didnt see it at all!

33.3 Clarke to Inzamam-ul-Haq, FOUR, and again, on middle and off, a fine flick of the wrists sends the ball over square leg for four more, top shot in the gloom

Hahahaha

quick single by inzi! rameez laughing in comentary box

34.5 Gough to Inzamam-ul-Haq, FOUR, bang, bang, lofted off the legs imperiously and the big man moves to 37 with a shot over mid-off four another four, no stopping Inzamam

Even in such darkness his strike rate is over 150 wow:O

34.6 Gough to Inzamam-ul-Haq, FOUR, four more to Inzamam, in lucky style! Flashes hard at one on off, leading edge flies to Gough at third man who cant see a thing in the gloom and drops the catch, and gives away four runs another 4444444444444

Pak 164/3 - Mo yousuf 45* inzi 41*

23 need to win

How can Gough be bowling and Fielding at third man at the same time :)

35.4 Clarke to Mohammad Yousuf, no run, full outside off, moves forward and is rapped on the pads, loud appeal is rightly turned down HOPE NEVER DIES :91:

Yeah I was thinking of that because otherwise when batting with a tailender a batsman could take a single and still maintain the strike by turning back from just across half way down the pitch :-)

game over as moyo gets 4 thru covers.

Pak win by 7 wkts

Yousuf was short of the crease on that last run, so they only got one, the double was scrapped

Drive for 4 by MoYo and that's the ball game as we like say here in the good old US of A.

Broad to Mohammad Yousuf, FOUR, thats it, all over, in the slot outside off and its lazily driven through the covers for four to seal the deal! Its been an overcast, gloomy day but Pakistan have outclassed England with bat and ball. Chasing 167 to win, they reached home with seven wickets to spare, key knock from Younis, Yousuf and Inzamam worth their weight in gold, and Pakistan take a 1-0 series lead

It was so obvious Moyo was aiming for a 50. Reason, why they were messing around at the end.

Well done though.

Double standards Robbie, and if you are inferring that Hair was right then you've stooped to a new low, even lower than Mr. 3-0 :D

Shoaib, deservedly man of the match. What an opening spell today.

We have batting down to 10 and would have won the game even if Younis had been given out. Especially if you look at the way Inzi came out and batted.....nothing England tried would have got him out today.

However given the way that the umpiring errors were so heavily in favour of England during the test series, it is about time we got one or two in our favour as well. This has not come anywhere near evening it out and if the 'these things even themselves out' theory is correct then we should be seeing more of the same from Doctrove and co in the coming games!

what about the 3rd test? Some people were crying louder than babies.

Not so much about Doctrove but about Hair. It is justified with Hair because we know that his 'mistakes' against us are actually very deliberate. Doctrove is just an idiot.

yes, you continue with your conspiracy theories ::J. All i know is that people made a big song and dance about Billy's decisions too in the 3rd test. Have people not heard of c'est la vie?

Rob, are you saying Hair's mistakes against us are not deliberate?
no, i just think he is an incompetent (to put it lightly) umpire. This conspiracy rubbish has no fact whatsoever. End of discussion.

So you're saying Hair is just a dipstick and his issues with Pak are not carefully thought out or intentional ?

May I ask you 2 questions about this ODI? I have watched the highlights. The score was (for example):

Eng 44-4 - Overs 15.2 (P3) (40).

What does P3 mean?

Pakistan won by 7 wickets (with 20 balls remaining) (D/L method). Why a D/L method? I know what the D/L method is, but I don't understand why it was used. Thanks

i am being dead serious here when i say Billy Doctroves position as an international umpire needs to come under serious scrutiny due to his poor eyesight and hearing. If im not wrong he gave an inside edge that Kamran dropped as a leg bye and not to forget Lewis no ball - although im not complaining too much about that one lolz.

Me thinks Robbie is still in denial over Hair....

I couldnt understand it myself - they knew it was a reduced game when Pak came into bat - might have something to do with the fact that they came off for rain AFTER the game had commenced?

Rob H - if only Eng could get an umpire that was as 'incompetent' - but only against Eng, and not the opposition.

Oh wait - it happened in 1987, and Gatting and Broad caused a international incident......
