YES

Another huge wicket

We needed an early wicket in this session and Gul has delievered like the star he is.

109 for 2, and suddenly SA need to consolidate for a bit. Another wicket here and we will be RIGHT ON TOP of this match.

Great stuff from Pakistan!

Wrist slitters! Come out come out wherever you are!

Asif and Gul bowling well, getting swing and the ball is staying low as well

got two news batsman at teh crease now

keep the pressure on Malik.

May be he wants to keep one pacer and one spinner

yes

and probably a good idea

with only two pacers in the team, you don't want to use them together and then rely on spin later on.

Use both spin and pace at the same time.

come on

lets get another wicket now, come on pakistan.

batsman is not cooperating. there is some noise from the crowd.
Zaheer Abbas just said "no doubt" 5 times when talking about the Paksitani keepers.
Well bowled Danish ... Excellent bowling boyz - Akmal

oof kallis leaves a close one ...

this is the luck i was talking about in the other thread.

Teams like India get more luck in one match than we get in an entire year of cricket.

3 slips and a gully

what field would Inzi have had after 36 overs with the opposition 119 for 2?

36.1 Gul to Kallis, no run, Gul looks to fire in the yorker outside the off stump, slanting into the right hander in the air, Kallis goes on the backfoot and looks to defend it, inside edge onto the pads, that was really fast

36.5 Gul to Kallis, no run, Gul fires in the lethal yorker on the stumps, drifting into the right hander, Kallis stays rooted in the crease, gets his bat down in time and digs it out well

He would have never set a field like that thats for sure, may be just a single slip and a gully or 2 slips at most with a gully

nice reverse swinging yorker from gul .. but kallis gets his bat down.

Umar Gul 3-0-22-0
Umar Gul 8-2-27-1

Mean he came back strong with giving away 5 runs in 5 overs and one wicket on this dead coffin of DNA.

Gul vs Kallis battle seems great

wish I could see it

trying to and failing

Gul will get him in the next couple of overs.

come on Gul.

Umar Gul to Kallis, no run, full, outside off, not too far away and left by Kallis

Umar Gul to Kallis, no run, inswinging yorker is well dug out to the off, good cricket that, good ball, good shot

Umar Gul to Kallis, no run, shortish outside off, poor shot for Kallis, looks to pull that to the on side, stayed low, beaten

Umar Gul to Kallis, no run, gets forward on the off, almost gets the leading edge as Kallis is squared up

Gul bowling well to Kallis here. If Gul had been Indian, Kallis would have been out by now.

It starts to feel like a real crick test match now,not dull session like the 1st one,the bowlers are into the game too and thats what one wants to see some real battle between ball and bat bnot just bat dominating the ball all the way

P.S Asif comes in for Gul

DK seems like unplayable. The world most economical and dangerous leg spinner.

LoLz,but only there is one problem Indians dont hace Gul

There is absolutely no bounce in the pitch so Pakistani bowlers shud target the stumps

Bishop and Keppler Wessels saying bowlers are not attacking the stumps as much as they should but it is a little difficult with a 7-2 field. one of Asif's ball reached the keeper after 2 bounces. Asif finishes with a good 132 kph ball that came in

come on

we cant allow these two to get away from us.

Let's break this partnership now.

By the sounds of it from cricinfo, Gul seems to be bowling quite well.

excellent run rate from South Africa on a supposedly batting paradise.

24 runs from the last 9 overs!

Asif starts with a slower one 110 kph. 2 slips and gully and a short cover
Kallis vs Pak average 43.7

That was big inswinger to Kallis and he gets 2,hurrieed by the delivery

Almost Almost got Kallis with a beautiful away swinger, played away from the body

they are getting away from us

we need a breakthrough

I liked the old days when the teams drank from the same thela and TV would show players having their fanta Marinda.

This is probably Pakistan';s best cricket stadium and the outfield looks awful

Well Waqar almost blaming the curators for preparing such tracks,I dont think he is right in blaming them

i am starting to get frustrated now

come on Pakistan. Let's get a wicket.

Come on Hash its a belter of a pitch for batting on day 1

aur yaar south africa waley koi choley tu bechney nahi aaye hain na

Waqar not liking the pitch. Before Pakistan had little faster bowlers who could work on these pitches. Pakistan now has medium pacers and they need some help from the pitch. Today is probably the only day they will get any help from pitch and after that it will get even more slower and lower. Questioning the board and curators why they cannot create the pitch that suits the seam bowlers the team has

Down the track straight over the head of the bowler 4 runs

Kallis Vs Rehman

That is short of the century

Kallis drove Asif through the covers man that is just breathtaking

What a dead pitch... the ball is having a very hard time carrying to the keeper.
PCB keeps true to their nature and go for a pitch where our batsmen have no way to get out because of any bounce. No wonder we cannot play on a pitch with any sort of a bounce.

On the second innings batsmen may have to have ankle gaurds as I do not expect the ball to bouce too much higher than that. The ball has not bounced higher than the height of the stumps yet.
