more like Smith woke up.zaf1986 said:SMith heard Waqar - on comes Steyn
not really...that ball deserved what it got. Simply a matter of putting it away.saffer said:another 4..pakistan trying to make a move again .
Guess Smith already allowed Yousaf to settle in. Hope he will build on this start, and Younis should start a new innings and shouldnt throw away his wicket. His job is not done yet.zaf1986 said:SMith heard Waqar - on comes Steyn
Thanks for your optimism.jackal786 said:Pakistan will be able to draw this test successfully.

True, lunch should have started 15 mins ago.kablooee87 said:I thought this session would be 2.5 hours. But we're going on 3 hours now.

Do you assume Tendulkar is playing?jackal786 said:It is a definite draw. Pitch has not crumbled inspite of being 5th day pitch. I think if light is offered Pakistan will take.
exactly. The way they aren't playing IS NOT PLAYING FOR A DRAW like some people are saying.Hash said:much better going from these two now
We can get 150 from the last 30 overs if we have wickets

Don't think they would do that, they should play positive cricketjackal786 said:457 is a tall order. They haven't reached half the score yet. Worst case SA will bowl wide balls and negative balls. There are only two results of this game, either Pakistan win or SA win.jackal786 said:It is a definite draw. Pitch has not crumbled inspite of being 5th day pitch. I think if light is offered Pakistan will take.

In test matches, last session also include 20 mandatory overs, so for Pakistan it is important to keep wickets intact and in last session if they are within 120-130 runs of the target; I am sure they will go for it.nosferatu372 said:winning will be tough because the next two sessions will only be 1.5 hours each. so that means 40 more overs after lunch. Even if they score 18 runs in the last 10 minutes t means 220 in 40 overs. and in a test match it wont be easy.
saffer said:its playing out a little like a one day game........s.a will take a draw as a win (considering they declared 4 wickets down and won the series)
4- almost forget about the wide ball ruleW63L35 said:241 runs needed in 50 overs at 4.82 R/O
Think of getting 241 in an ODI....
differences here are;
1) No field restrictions.
2) No 10 over limit on the bowlers.
3) Wicket is a little helpful to Harris.

Thanks.FAM said:1st session: 9:30am to 12:30pm
second session: 1:30pm to 3:00pm
3rd session: 3:20pm to 4:50pm
These were the timings I saw on TV before the day's play.
saffer said:s.a need a wicket soon if they want a chance to win..but seems they are happy with a draw (credit to pakistan in this).
Wish India could send Harbajan Singh to help them.jackal786 said:This pitch requires two good spinners. Pace bowlers have no hopes on this surface.
Things so far are not going SA way; especially most of the calculations. Since they bowled 74 overs at lunch so they have to bowl atleast 6 more overs after lunch before they could ask for a new ball, which will allow Yousaf and Younis to settle down before they face new ball post lunch.
