Batting 1st in lahore in most tests over recent times has lead to defeat. Theres usually sumat in the wicket 1st up before it pans out on days 3/4.

Pakistan should look to bowl S.A out by close of play and under 250-300.

Now we need to get a couple of breakthroughs early in the 3rd session may be in the 1st hour.If we achieved that then there is every chance that we can restrict Saafies to250-275 which will not be a bad effort with just 4 bowlers.

What we need is to put up a good score in our 1st innings and play a long innings and let DK do his jon on day 4 pitch.This is building up very well for my liking.

Yes...

Kaneria was bowling well so no need to take him off.

Malik must have felt that the seamer-spinner combination would work better for us. Its not a day 4/5 pitch where spinners will bowl long spells together in tandem.

We do not have destructive bowlers who will blaze through Saffers. Asif is a world class bowler - but he won't destroy teams like Waqar and Wasim. Same for Gul. Remember Pakistan have to bat last. Saffers are looking good for another 400 score I'm afraid. Game over if they get over 350. Not being negative - just being realistic. I don't share the same blind faith in the Pak players as some of you guys do.
