Pakistan vs South Africa 2nd test match...Day 2 from Port Elizabeth.

He was not allowed to bat before 6 or at certain given time. When Yousuf got out, there were still a few minuttes to go before Inzi could bat again, so Kami walked out instead.
 
his undershirt was a bit too much ... talk about over the top....ICC should give him a fine for showboating .. .like they do in american football ..
 
can someone go over ABC of cricket with dotcom and explain him why inzi came to bat so late

once AGAIN if INZY knew the RULES, he could have came..

3 minutes to come to bat

and when MY got out, there was 1.5 minutes left for Inzy to be eligible....

We have an IDIOT as a captain that doesnt know the rules...

Read the rules of the game yaar. He was off the field and therefore couldnt bat in his normal position.

I'd rather have an 80% fit Inzi in the side rather than Faisal Iqbal

the point is not he wasnt allowed to bat..

point is he is COWARD ... he could have fielded when the last wickets were falling ... Its not like he runs around in the covers...

I dont understand. When MY got out, Inzi was not eligible to bat, so what is the fuss about? By the next wicket he sent in a nightwatchman. What is so strange about that?

Inzy being unfit isnt even the issue... Inzy not being allowed to bat until X time is not the issue..

INZY choosing not to BAT when he only needed 1.5 minutes is the ISSUE...

does INZY not know you have 3 minutes to get to the crease?

Does Woolmer not know this? of course he knows...

Besides, the great one doesn't have a damn game plan to speak of. Taking singles with batsmen like Kineria ? makes you wonder where his priorities or thoughts are?

For gods sake, shut your trap. Everybody has told you how Inzamam could NOT bat because there was still TIME left. Go look it up in the damn rules. How the hell do we know how long its going to take for Inzamam to get there? Stop merely speculating and watch the game instead of bashing Inzamam for no reason. Silly twit.

well whether you like it or not he has been one of Pakistan's most successful captains in the history of cricket.

So if I had a choice between trusting his judgment or, ummmm, sharuk of pakpassion's, then I think I know which I would go for :|
 
This is what I found out at crapinfo............I like to second that, "Sami is concerned about the same issue. "Inzi - What is he thinking exposing the tail all the time? He has not looked like protecting it at all. Confidence in the tail is great, but not in this case where the discomfort is evident. He is running out of partners"

Why does Inzi always take singles on such crucial occasions?

with no doing on his own, most of his test feats are drawing tests through individual performances, Inzamam has not won Pakistan a test since Bangladesh in Multan

inzy had 1.5 minutes left to bat, when MY got out
any batsmen has 3 minutes to get to the crease before he can be termed timed out.

Exactly. I still do not understand how Inzamam is a bad captain, he has a good record as well.

The incessant bashing of Shoaib and Inzy has to stop, for gods sake.
 
Hash, you're the one who needs to change the record in true honesty. The fact that you keep defending Inzi's defensive mindset and pathetic captaincy over and over again after every bad decision clearly doesn't say much about your mental capacity there. There've been some extremely bad calls by Inzi in the past but what's going on right now is downright pathetic. I'm not even talking about his batting position, just looking at how eager he is to take singles and have the tail face these strike bowlers gives away your man's mindset there.

well he had won more tests than he has drawn.

Also convenient for you how when we win it is nothing to do with Inzi but when we lose it is always his fault.
 
To be honest Inzi has done nothing with the bat in last one year to be termed as a great batsman anymore, like Tendulkar he is well past his best now. He is pretty much a below average on field captain, a disaster as far as off field captaincy is concerned but he had his batting to fall back on even that is pretty ordinary now. He may stay not out in this innings but this has hardly been a decent knock let alone a good one. He has edged the ball on number of occassions and was out once too.

But Mohammad Yousuf got out 1.5 minutes before the time. Time stops after the batsman is out in case you haven't noticed. That is why Akmal went in.

the captain isnt the one that wins the TEST, its the team...
the captain isnt the one that loses the TEST, its the team...

but the captain can be judged on his actions... on his performance, his skills, his decisions..

only his batting has saved him from the PCB axe...

Otherwise we will still be under 200 runs 5 overs from now.
