Overall - PAk finished a good 30-40 runs short given their middle order recovery (but early order collapse and late order collapse didnt help)

230 not bad, well one stage i thought we wont be crossing 200 ,so em nice display by pak after 3 early wickets

Pak 230/9 (50)

Its a decent score. Pakistan will need to make early in roads to win this match!

Decent score. Good comeback from the tail displaying fighting qualities. Need to demonstarte that in the bowling as well. 2-3 quick wickets up front and it's game on. Kallis is key for this sort of score.

I think you will see S.A batting pretty conservatively....if there is one thing our team does well normally is chase down modest totals without much drama...

230 is the final score. SA are slightly ahead at the moment.
I don't think we can comment on who is ahead or behind of the game at this stage. When SA scored 180 in the second ODI, G Smith commented that another 20-30 runs would have been difficult for Pak to chase.

Lets see if Smith's team can chase 230 on a pitch that could get difficult to bat on as the game progresses under lights.

not watching so is the pitch slow?

ps Cpt Birdseye has to be dropped - he has played 2 painstaking innings at the start which puts the team under extreme pressure.......not even Sallu can play that bad........

Intresting to see how Asif bowls after his lay off, S.A have struggled in middle overs against spin so its game on if pakistan can get 2/3 early wickets!

How can you play with 4 specialist bowlers in an ODI especially with our batting line up
Our batting lower down already looked weak enough as it is without Razzaq andnow event Tanvir got dropped
That's pathetic!!!!!

Thats true, SA may well struggle to get 230. We need to get a couple of early wickets and not give away too many runs with the new ball.

We still have a good chance of winning this match. South africans aren't good against spinners and the pitch will help spinners under lights. Also Rao and Gully are in good form. Asif can always get wickets. Keep the fingers crossed.

I thought that myth was put to bed in the test matches ?

S.A arent good at scoring on slow wickets against slow bowlers......there is a difference...

Too many loose balls. SA already have more runs in the 2nd over than what we had 6 overs!

Asif bowled a good over there but Gul is all over the place. We need to keep it tight so I would think of bringing Rao if Gul continues to bowl like this...

Just 3 runs off the Gul over. Need to kepp it tight and frustrate Smith...

What happened then in the Twenty20 semi-final match against India then?

No doubt Pakistan team is amazing.....1st two ODIs pathetic fielding......3rd incredible fielding............4th pathetic again LOL

HAHAHA Zaheer is a funny old man! The way he described the "bullet shot" was "too much" hahah

ha ha ha ha....really....you guys are very funny .

relax...spinners yet to bowl .

Pakistan back in :120: only 11 runs given in last 2 overs. Ofcourse it is Anjuman leading the comback
SA 63-0 after 9

Afridi on to bowl

Afriidddiiiiiiiiiiiiiii You Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetaaaaaaaaaaaa

:)

South Africa are running scared of the potential impact the spinners could have thats why Pollock has been sent in who usually plays spin well.

Just got back from Jummah - 60 odd from 10 overs., Who got tonked around?

Nightwatchman is on!

lol, but i think Pollock is one of the better SA player against spin bolwer.

i think its really nice move by Smith or whoever thought about it.

Now the time has come to apply the squeeze on the run rate. Wickets will fall naturally as a result, sit tight people this game is far from over.

Pollock already has got 2 boundaries, looks like he will be playing positively

Damn Afridi had Pollock there, but for a the ball dropping short of the fielder

Jackman didn't name Bowden when Gibbs was given LBW. He said Aleem Dar's name when he didn't like a wide call

Gul again in Covers

Malik seems to rate Gul as a fielder - keeps placing him in crucial areas - I think hes an pretty ordinary fielder!
