Pakistan vs South Africa - Warm up Match on March 9th

Younis 50

122 for 2 after 32 overs

Younis Khan not out 51
Mohammad Yousuf not out 20

Extras b 0, lb , nb 0, w 0, p 0 2
Total 2 wkts, 32.0 overs 122

younis going well, Hafeez did well again, and Yousuf on 20 not out, hope he gets a fifty, which will be tough as only 70 runs left to win, will see

Well on our way to victory, Younis Khan, Hafeez gaining some time in the middle.

Inzi again messes with the order

(Target = 200 in 50 overs; Current rate = 3.81; Required rate = 4.33)

Do you guys think the RunRate is gonna be a problem?? We have 8 wickets but as they said that this is a tricky pitch........ there could be a collapse anytime, else Afridi comes in and simply hits 2 sixes and settles the RunRate!! LOL

78 needed from 18 overs.

Good stuff Pakistan - We are beating the number 1 ranked team in the world and onto World Cup glory :D :P

I prefer todays batting order with YK at 3.

the kiwis have done well since ther last match against bangladesh, a mighty 285,

sri lanka on 137 from 25.

looks like a good game.

Did you mean, dont count KP chicken ? :)))

I guess someone from cricinfo, probably Sambit Bal or some gimp like him has to ring up the ground to find out the score before updating it and since it is Pakistan who are doing well he isn't really interested and leaves it a good hour or so between each call.

i hate to admit but i think that although sa are rated no 1, theyre not that good, and that the two teams taht will probably end up in the final are india and aus.

id love to think we'd make it, but i just dont see it happening.

Is that correct or are you making it up ? I have checked cricinfo, cricketeurope, ecb.co.uk and sky sports web sites and they are still showing 94/2. Offcourse the score has moved on but what is it ?!!!

I really do not understand this obsession people have with the idea of India being such a strong team

I believe pakistan can go all the way through to the final with fighting spirit, unity, ability they possess, dedication and self belief.

our inning 12 byes, 7 no balls, and 6 wides
their inning 3 extras
Man if we could cut down on our extras we would really be an almost unstoppable side, and that with our second choice bowlers

Unless you are an Indian. I would never rate Indian team as the best. You will ask what is the reason? Simple rivalry don’t form by one team fan admit the opponent is the better team. No matter what are the odds no matter the results, a TB(True Beliver) never admit that other team is better. Also, I am from Pakistan :)))

66 needed from 16 overs.

SA are not the major force on these slower wickets.

Because they are a pretty decent team, I know you can't accept it, 'cuz you are too blinded by your thinking, India did make to last WC finals, they might not be as strong as aussies (who look shaky too) but to me, any other teams don't look that great either, not consistently dominant to deny India a strong team status. You may wish as much as u want that BD will surprise India, but we sure will kick the **** out of them and everyone else.. :)

yeah exactly, what have they done recently that makes them so strong. they dont even have a decent enough all rounder and pathan is the closest theng they have got.

I am sure our 1st choice bowlers can beat that even when they are not fully fit...and when fully fit, they are world beaters in the 'Extras Category' :)

dont really care for extras as long as they r taking wickets. and all our bowlers used to give lots of extras, especially akram, but they were also some of the best strike bowlers. so it doesnt matter

India, even though i would hate to admit it, will be a handful on these wickets. First off they have a plethora of spinners in their playing 11
You've got Sachin, Sehwag, and Yuvraj, plus any of Kumble and Harbajhan if they play, that is a possibitly of 5 spin bowlers,
They have some destructive batsmen in Sehwag, Dhoni, and Pathan
They are weak in their pace bowlers but all they have to do is keep it tight
I think this could be an all subcontinent final

im sure after this performance some of the pundits will start taking us seriously

it does matter in big games, i.e, WC

India should not be underestimated, they are looking dangerous and once Sehwag and Irfan Pathan hit some form, they will be a match for anyone in the Super 8's

What will take the sub-continent teams out of the equations if the pitches are full of pace and bounce, which all sub-continent teams struggle with.

2-134? That was the score 20 mins ago!

OK get of your high horse pal.

I never said India are crap. I just don't understand this idea that they are one of the favourites for this world cup and we aren't, when India's form has not been any better than ours. That is all.

My F5 key is on overdrive on cricketeurope to provide you with updates, lets all have sabr....patience is a virtue

i dont think so, if attacking bowlers like waqar, wasim shoaib etc. worry about giving away extras or being hit, they wont be able to take wickets. now guys like asif r differnt kind of bowlers so they have to be careful. it depends on the kind of bowler. gul, rana etc. have to be careful, but sami should just bowl flat out fast and not worry too much

Yaaaaaaaaaaar why is itttttt taking soooo lonnnnnggggg for updates ...MOST FRUSTRATING !!!

I have just heard that we won by 7 wickets

Its all over guyz

Celebrate a much deserved win

Form players: Younis, Hafeez, Yousuf, Sami, Gul and Malik

Leaving out Rana was a correct decision, shame about Rao
