[PICTURES/VIDEOS] Chinaman: The legend of Kuldeep Yadav

A left arm leg spinner & an off spinner are two bowlers that I can never respect no matter who they are.

The most halwa bowler to play in cricket is a left arm leg spinner, it's just that most batters even at international level do not watch the hand and play these from the pitch. It takes a bit of practice to get used to the spin & over spin but once it is done, this bowling is literally the easiest to play.

Before someone says I have no experience, yes, I don't at international level but I grew up playing a left armer who could do this and hence this is the easiest thing to play in my opinion. It's a shame that people reach international level yet still can't pick it from the hand but then reading a googly is even easier but batters even to this day and age can't pick a googly from a leg spinner.

Just adding a bit of context why they are the easiest

1. Their normal delivery will come in after pitching & it must pitch out side the off stump or on offstump to be effective. This means it's like an off spinner bowled around the wicket & you can swing your bat in the natural arc of a right hand batter.

2. You cannot get LBW on the googly bowled by this type of the bowlers.

3. The top spinner will bounce too much and not hit the stumps.

4. They are historically the slowest and least accurate spinners. From Hodge, Bevan, to Kuldeep to Noor, they all are like this.

It's a mystery to me that batters get so bamboozled by them.

Picking is only half the job lol How you handle it is another job. Many guys picked him yet got out to him because of trajectory, speed, amount of turn.

This man is just unstoppable in this Asia Cup.. what a command he has on his line and length.

What a bowler this guy is!

And to think he has played just 13 tests in 8 years!

This is like my saying I grew up playing a fast bowler hence playing a fast bowler is the easiest thing.

What a fast bowler can do at a young age, and then what they can do when they’re fully matured - there’s a universe of difference.

All these things are not by accident. They say Indian system is better. They don't give enough credit to self-development of these players. Kuldeep worked so hard to get back. He bowled on sand. Self-development of Abhishek sharma, Mohammad shami, Kuldeep yadav, Subhman Gill is out of their own interest.

Maine baat cheet ki thi unse ki kya kiya tha unhone. Woh kaafi interesting hai kyunki woh ret pe gendbaazi karte they jahan pe pitch banaya nahin hai, taaki vahan pe gend jo ruk ke aati hai, vahan tez daalenge toh unko aur bite milega. Toh woh ek cheez tha. Thodi run-up mein change ki, jo angle se bhaag rahe they use thoda seedha kiya. Aur woh zyaada jump kar rahe they, woh thoda sa kam kiya jisse woh momentum transfer kar paa rahe they. Toh yeh thode se changes ki, kaafi mehnat ki unhone, kyunki kathin samay tha unke liye," Nayar said during an interaction on Sony Sports.

(I spoke to him. It's very interesting, he used to bowl on sand where the ball stops. He bowled with speed to gain more bite. That is one thing. He also changed his run-up, the angle with which he ran he made it straight. Also, he jumped a bit too much before which has changed, allowing him to transfer a lot more momentum. Kuldeep has worked a lot on his bowling and was going through a difficult time.)

Any other team, he'd have been a first choice spinner but we are so 'overflowing' with spinners that we don't need him

All of these are pathetic,

Kohli, Shastri, Rohit, Dravid, Gambhir, Gill, Agarkar, list is long....

I completely get how hard these guys must have worked on their game.

They get drift and dip. What you call the ball coming in to a right armer and can be played like an off spinner is actually fizzing and drifting so doesn’t land where you think. Causing a mishit at long on or long off. Of course you can be out Lbw to the one that lands on off and straightens.

Going over the stumps depends on the ground.

It is my opinion based on my perception and my experience of age level cricket that I have played. Some people find some things easy, reading the spin from the hand of a conventional spinner has never been an issue for me while playing anyone above 85 or 80 mph has never been easy for me.

Kuldeep Yadav once again delivered goods for India against Pakistan. 4/30 in his 4 overs.

Kuldeep is a great bowler but today it was just Pakistan’s batting gifting him wickets. Farhan and Fakhar had taken him on and he didn’t look very confident but then our batting had a meltdown.

This man single handedly changed the course of the match on the big stage in the Asia Cup final.
Kudos to the legend, Kuldeep:salute

Yadav bowls with good partners. Pressure at both ends. He’s a fantastic bower. Deserves all the credit.

Most five-fers by left arm wrist spinners (Tests)
5 Kuldeep Yadav (15 Tests)
5 Johnny Wardle (28)
4 Paul Adams (45)

Proves yet again how dumb Kohli and Gambhir have been. Kohli, because in his case, he was the strong one in captain-coach dynamics.

A mental midget, always struggles when you put him under pressure.
