Extremely impressive upward trajectory so far.Just incredible.
First away series in Australia vs Australia - WIN
First away series in South Africa vs South Africa - WIN
An offer!
Rizwan has done what no Pakistani captain has managed to do for 22 years!
Rectify your mistake and acknowledge that Rizwan is great captain and wk batter for Pakistan. We will welcome you with open arms.
Good odi cap so far. Horrible t20 capI'm going to put this out one last time. @Rana and @mominsaigol
Rizwan has won another tough away ODI series as captain.
Look at this glazing.Rizwan’s use of DRS in the PSL was often comical, raising legitimate questions about his attentiveness and ability to judge the line of the ball from behind the stumps. However, the moment he took over as Pakistan’s captain, he transformed into a DRS maestro. Calm, composed, and strategic, he waits until the last possible second to call for a review, showcasing sharp decision making under pressure.
As a captain, Rizwan has had a dream start to his tenure, leading the team with precision and poise. Today, Pakistan stands on the brink of their third consecutive ODI series victory overseas under his leadership, an incredible achievement! One can’t help but wonder why we didn’t make him captain two years ago. Here’s hoping for another memorable milestone today, InshaAllah!
Thanks to brainless selections by Aqib.Good odi cap so far. Horrible t20 cap
Brother with all due respect, that's just an excuse. Thanks to brainless selections by Aqib.
T20 team selection has been pretty poor. You can tell it from the fact that they didn't even picked Saim for Australia T20 series and had to call him for Zimbabwe and South Africa series.Updates
ODI SERIES WINS
1) Aus series wins
2) Zimbabwe series win
3) Sa series win
T20 series
1) Aus t20 series whitewash
2) Sa t20 series whitewash.
Atm hes been very solid in terms of getting results for odi but rubbish in t20.
What's your take. Cresit to rizwan or credit to Aqib? And who's responsible for t20?

Personally it's both. Aqib is killer for odi and test for selections and it's good he has chosen a 15 since he refuses to let rizwan select the 15, it's good since babar had too much power and chose rubbish.
But rizwan has been a terrific onfield captain as well.
For t20 same, Aqib has made rubbish decisions selection wise, but rizwan, babar and Agha in t20s are laughably bad and so far have been causing losses upon losses in that format.
For test it's aqib who saved shan though
I'm fine with it atm. Main focus is ct and it should be Odi.T20 team selection has been pretty poor. You can tell it from the fact that they didn't even picked Saim for Australia T20 series and had to call him for Zimbabwe and South Africa series.
Rizwan as a batter doesn't make it to T20 side let alone as captain.
Maybe the management is too focused on CT25. This whole T20 team needs to be revamped before WT20 2026.
This 100 percentDon’t read too much into this.
As a white ball batter he’s a liability. If both him and Babar continue to play like today there won’t be a blinder like Ghulam innings to always save us.
When he’s a liability how can he be a captain?
True test will come at the champions trophy when full strength sides will play.
Even today SA fielded their third rate bowling attack, against whom we struggled until Ghulam came and rescued us from the statpadding of RizBar.
It’s quiet evident something has got to change in T20s. Credit to both Riz & Aqib for creating a positive team environmentUpdates

So you give them no credit for laying a solid foundation. I agree that they can be too conservative and when I saw Babar trying to knock around Fortuin and Riz, struggling with Jansen but without them, we also wouldn't have won.Don’t read too much into this.

I think Aqib obviously is a big difference but in ODIs Rizwan clearly has lead well. You can’t fault him, the team picks up regular wickets. They haven’t yet been torched by a proper ODI batting approach by teams like Australia and South Africa in their own conditions, so he is doing something very right.Updates

Hideout needs to be strong enough atm.Excellent win, Rizwn the captain was brilliant, these two games a complete lumberjack for AntiRiz brigade

The Saffers were missing Rabada, the others guys are injured or just run off the mill. And when they won in Australia, I am al sure someone was missing. This is irrelevant, they played their best available team and we won. We are 5th or 6th best and that hasn't changed and until we whack Australia or Ind in a full tournament, that won't change.SA attack was 3rd tier, yet we were struggling until Ghulam came.
My point is what will happen against full strength sides of Aus/India/NZ/Eng/SA?
If we bat against them in the same way where RIZWAN and Babar aim to score 250-280 totals then we’re not going to win any tournament.
It will be a repeat of 4-5 ICC tournaments that Babar and RIZWAN have lost us in the last 5 years.
I saw no change in their approach to batting and see a repeat of the last 5 years.
But perhaps players like Saim, Fakhar and Ghulam can make a difference.
