Rizwan could only manage 19 runs off 43 balls today, while the rest of the team fell apart. To make matters worse, he didn’t even take the time to manage the DRS properly, even though he knew the rain was on the way and it could have made a difference. It’s like he was completely unaware of the situation or simply didn’t care.

@Rana And I highlighted that this guy is a selfish player who doesn't give a damn.

He and Misbah are no different from each other.

Misbah use to play in the exact same fashion that rizwan plays which is block everything and on a bad ball he'll take a run and maybe will hit a 4 if the ball if in his legside range.

This tactic will allow him to survive longer then the rest. And on the stat sheets he'll have insane numbers.

For example he went not out today and against australia he hit a 30 not put which boosted his stats to 75 avg and 74 sr.

When people look at cricinfo they'll think that he and misbah are goat players who averaged 40 in all formats. And their fans in the future will obsessively lie on end about these 2.

But when people like us who've actually watched these rubbish play we all know how cowardly and selfish these 2 frauds are.
 
Rizwan chose to persist with Salman, that makes sense as he has been taking wickets as he now just removed raza but where is Faisal???

why has not he bowled yet ahead of these run-machines jamal and Haris???
 
Now wins against Zimbabwe are going to be celebrated as if Pakistan won the Border/Gavaskar Trophy?
 
How so? Saim kicked off and even though it was a minnow attack the quality between him and Abdullah is sky high.

I think it's more embrassing for rizwan to score 19 of 43 against the same attack lol.

Even aus was the same. Pakistan is now saim + fakhar or bust

Finally the captain won the toss and chose to bat first against the MIGHTY ZIMBABWE.

Using just four bowlers against Australia while foregoing the part-timers and bowling a ton of quick overs with spinners today, so DLS results come into play are very smart moves.

Give him the test captaincy as well and then evaluate his captaincy in 2-3 years time.

Also Raza when he got dismissed long on in the circle in the second odi .Bowling Saim in the first 10 overs in the third t20.

Losing this game is worse then losing to USA.

This sa side has to be the weakest I've ever seen. Literally 90% of their lineup is missing as their all resting due to the recently concluded test series.
 
The skipper has jumped two places to move to sixth on the latest ICC T20I rankings for batters.

these guys are only good for Rankings... no impact on the field
 
Look how happy he looks having avoided a whitewash. More importantly, he looks happy avoiding an innings where he will score 18 off 25 in the powerplay. People are merciless now and before they used to find him wholesome

Rizwan has done a fine job so far. Not extra-ordinary but he started off against tough opposition and did good as a captain but as a batter, he is going nowhere. Not fit for T20s and now in ODIs, he is looking pretty weak as well.
 
One of the worst captains I've ever seen. Horrible in t20 and he's super super lucky that in odi saim ayub is surprisingly proving to be an even more consistent version of fakhar atm and a proper replacement.

The whole team is being carried by saim atm and this captain wanted him out of the team

Name one captain in the history of the game who was successful but was a non performer? And please don't go into the 80's, 70's and 60's and talk about beardley.

Even sarfi avg 40 at no 5 and was performing in 2017, infact he was kicked out ever since he became a non performer in 2018-2019.

Name one i repeat one captain who was good without doing a damn thing with the bat/ball themselves?

Your captain is winless in t20 but successful in odi so far on the backs of others.

That is not a good record and you're delusional to think otherwise
 
An ODI series win in Australia combined with a potential ODI series with in South Africa would be a phenomenal achievement - leading up to the champions trophy. T20s are irrelevant this year as there's no upcoming T20 wc.

He has been excellent so far.

The haters will always find a way to hate, the t20 losses are being solely blamed on him but the ODI wins he's "winning on the back of others"

No one would blame him if he kept his performances up.

These wins are elementary since he hasn't done anything different from babar azam.

Babar also operated a team of

1) Fakhar
2) Abdullah
3) Babar
4) Rizwan
5) Saud
6) Agha/Chacha
7) Shadab
8) Nawaz/Usama Mir
9) Shaheen
10) Naseem
11) Rauf

Its not too different from

1) Saim
2) Abdullah
3) Babar
4) Rizwan
5) Kamran
6) Agha
7) Niazi
8) Shaheen
9) Naseem
10) Rauf
11) Abrar

Only shadab, chacha, Nawaz, Saud and fakhar are gone now.

Its is 90% replica of the sane team with the exact same combination.

Similarly the players that failed in babar's era like Abdullah, Babar, Rizwan etc etc are still failing now and the players who succeeded like fakhar and now saim are succeeding.

Rizzu definitely has a say in the playing 11 and at what number he bats.

And he has not kept his own performance up, that's a fact.

Pakistan beat NZ in wc 2023, but why would you give credit to Babar for it?

Pakistan got tonked for 400, Babar himself just scored at less then 100 sr? It was literally a fakhar one man show.

Same here? Agha for 4 wickets, Scored 70+ not out, Saim scored a century while everyone else including rizwan left Pakistan in a difficult situation?

Why would rizwam get cresit for this?

This isn't wc 2003 where pointing the captain literally scored 140 and ended the wc on a high note, or wc 2023 where pat cummins and Maxwell held their nerve to conquer Afghanistan and Cummins himself bowled terrrificly in the final.

I'm not in charge of rizzu's performance

Here's the thing, I'm fine with sarfi being removed. Since post 2019 he was done and dusted.

But the same logic isn't being used for rizwan? Why?

Also sarfi's team was more settled then Rizwan and Babar's team. Even @gazza619 who supports rizwan literally made a thread yesterday talking about how many passengers they are in the team including rizwan at no 4. Again his words not mine?

So ig he also has an agenda and so do i? And so do people like rana, Redwood, ridiculous man, emranabass, TheSultan etc etc and everyone else who agreed with that post?
 
It is such a shame that despite Saim Ayub being my favourite talent to come out of Pak since Safi, I still cannot support his runs when they contribute positively to Rizwan’s captaincy record.

He must be removed asap and then I can honestly say we may become a top 3 team

This kid in a few years can easily kick out rizwan once he gets the same stardom power that Babar received.

Infact that's why riz/ba fans want him to fail, Infact they want anyone to fail, cause they know a new star means ba/riz os over.

Give someone babar and rizwan power and babar and rizwan are rendered useless

The only beneficiary of Saim’s good form is Rizwan the sham captain.
 
Best WK batsman in Pakistan history and one of the best captains in the game right now. As simple as that.

I believe Pakistan can have a proper crack at winning the CT under his leadership.

In 10 matches he's flunked t20 games but has won odi games.

^^ And has flunked all 10 games performance wise with the bat.

^^ These are the official undisputed metrics.

Great and if he's still not performing a year from now then I'm all for removing him from the team. I don't get what you're debating about? Why remove someone after 10 matches?

When did I ask for his removal? Infact I was comparing saim ayub to Rizwan + Fakhar + Babar and my main focus was that for today?

I didn't even realise i was on Rizwan captaincy watch thread, because i was just looking at your pings to me?

My main concern is comparing saim to pak's main batters for now?

But it seems that you just didn't like that I compared saim to rizwan and completly ignored fakhar and Babar from the topic as well?

Atm, Captaincy wise the issue is the only candidate is saud for now? So I'm stuck with rizzu.

What are you rambling about? I didn't even @ you in this thread I just came to post that he's been an excellent captain on the verge of an ODI series win in Aus AND SA.

And i disagree? Its an open forumn? Why cant we debate it rather than being at one anothers throats? Im honestly tried of fighting non stop as Indian posters already give me headaches 24 hours a day.

I presented my points as to why I believe he hasn't been good?
