He is general secretary PTI Karachi. EXTREMELY poor decision, PTI have literally given this seat away for free. Subhan was a deserving candidate, almost won his seat last time out of nowhere. Don't see any other reason for him missing out other than Sardar Aziz being part of Karachi leadership, and thus keeping the seat for himself.

What's with him attacking Insaf House around a month back, though? People are saying that event is the major reason behind him not getting the ticket.

Anyone noticed yesterday ARY aired an old Wasim Baddami road show from Lahore (was recorded in winters) to show Noon league is still popular? everyone in the show was wearing jackets and sweaters etc

Almost all Pakistani journalists are sell outs. They've all taken money or have taken money and are corrupt to the core. Infact they are not even international standard journalists.

Oh ok, I didn't know he was involved there. There was a whole block disgruntled party workers in Karachi last month who were calling for PTI Karachi leadership to be replaced.

Apparently still a lesser evil compared to deep-state elements. Because our china-esque liberals have only one punching bag, i.e. Deep-State Elements.

Not six but eight. He killed one tractor driver three years ago in a road rage incident. He shot dead the tractor driver after the driver asked him to move his car to let his tractor to pass. This angered Abid Raza.

He killed poor another man over some petty dispute.

How come no media house discusses this monster.

This is disgusting!

I would like to see some of the N-League supporters to try and defend this.

Well Dr. Arif Alvi should be very worried his seat is in serious danger....

Alvi is contesting with Farooq Sattar,Mustafa Kamal and Jibran Nasir.I doubt he’ll win.Battle will be between Kamal and Sattar and Sattar will come out top.

So according to a tweet by Sami Ibrahim, he left months ago after coercion due to an anti-Malik Riaz tweet. So we can probably figure out why there is such an anti-PTI drive right now. :)) Mian Waseem Syed1

The few PMLN "supporters" here won't make a difference, they are educated people with an agenda. Main problem is that the common N-League supporter will vote for this guy for one reason or another.

Chaudhary Abid Raza given ticket by PMLN. He is a convicted killer.

Its funny the Nooras look at each and every update, they cant add anything as they are desperate to avoid the humilation of supporting a crook and his brother. I asked one of them on the 400 crore stolen from the clean water scheme and he just ran.

Itni khamoshi kyun hai bhai?? Koi naya lota naheen join kia PTI

Yeah we are still in shock how:

Lashkar e Jhangvi terrorist and convicted killer Abid Raza got PMLN ticket again?
Shabnam's rapist Bandial got kicked out from PTI but got PMLN ticket again?
Father of 3 rapist sons Mian Farooq who forced victim to take back complaint got PMLN ticket again?

Aur kuch?

Eid Mubarak everyone :)

Ch Nisar to do seat adjustment with PTI on 2 NA and 2 PP seats of Rawalpindi. NA63 goes to PTI Ghulam Sarwar and NA59 goes to Ch Nisar. (reports)

There are reports that Imran Khan is going to be interviewed by Arshad Sharif tomorrow on ARY. Interesting timing and it will be interesting to see how he tackle Arshad who i gonna completely Anti PTI and Anti IK in last few weeks.

There are also reports that ARY ratings are gone down hill in last 1 week after their propaganda so the timing is to help ARY i guess. Hamid Mir for Geo interviewed IK twice when their ratings went down hill after their propaganda against PTI.

Honestly speaking, Imran Khan did not handle parts of that interview well. I am not saying PTI did't build hospitals and schools, but I just feel that Imran Khan should have been smarter in the interview considering there was limited time. When Zainab asked about hospitals and universities he should have given a clear answer on what they have done in KPK rather than sidetracking and fully talking about how PTI are set to be elected in KPK again with double the amount of support.

I think PTI are focusing a bit too much on the "KPK has never elected anyone twice" narrative, what really needs a lot more spotlight are their projects like health reforms, police reforms, billion tree tsunami, etc. I am not saying they don't talk about those things, but they need to really push those things in the media so that people actually know about them.

Fair enough but the questions were quite stupid like don't u feel like a hypocrite living in a bani gala. The interviewer did not give sufficient time for imran to answer either so we don't know exactly what he would've said. Also I just pointed out the fact that it's funny how hypocritical nooras are being by making fun of imrans interview while nawaz/showbaz wouldn't dare take an interview on hardtalk. Atleast imran knows what he's talking about despite a few poor answers.

A very fine interview by IK and Arshad was acting so nice maybe he is ashamed? :13:

Jibran Nasir running from NA-247 Karachi. Good to see some fresh blood with a much needed liberal slant on matters taking part. Respect him for running independently too.

He did that in 2013 too in same constituency and ended up with a total of 259 votes let's see how many votes this time for him. (this is one of the most educated area and middle/upper class area of Karachi)

Max he will get 1000-2000 votes... You cannot garner alot of votes by being an army hater specially from a place like DHA

Some ticket aspirants have staged a sit in right outside the main gate of Banigala residence along with their supporters. Around 150 policemen have been deployed there. No leader was able to come out or go in after 3 PM. Imran Khan addressed those people thrice to calm them and instruct them to go back but to no avail.

That is only partly true. Yes, the most upper class areas of Karachi are in this constituency, but more than half of the voters in this area are from lower class areas, especially after deliminations. This is why PPP have so much support there, they have campaigned very strongly in the poor areas. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out considering PPP are strong while Arif Alvi, Jibran Nasir, Mustafa Kamal, and Farooq Sattar will all contest from here. I think Defense and Clifton will largely vote for PTI with a few going with Jibran Nasir. The lower class areas may see a split votebank between PPP, MQM, and PSP (these areas are not satisfied with PTI).

All in all it is very tough to predict this seat, but I think a split votebank in the lower class areas will favour PTI.

Bani Gala besieged by furious PTI workers

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is facing stiff resistance from his party workers who have now camped outside his residence in Bani Gala over what they call “allotment of party tickets to candidates without merit”.

So far, Khan seems unable to assuage the concerns of his protesting workers as on Monday he sought three days’ time to “personally review” all their appeals against the “unfair” award of tickets.

Monday witnessed a sudden surge in the number of protesters camped outside Khan’s residence who say they “will vacate the area after three days when Khan announces his decision”.
Khan addressed the angry party workers almost thrice in a bid to pacify their emotions but apparently failed as they are now demanding the immediate reversal of decisions of the parliamentary board that finalised the party candidates for the upcoming general elections.

According to estimates, over 2,000 workers were present at Bani Gala.

“I swear by God, I have not given even a single ticket to any of my family members or close friends. Decisions have been made purely on merit. Give me three days and I will personally review all appeals,” he asked the unhappy workers who by Monday evening managed to reach the gate of his residence.

NADRA dismisses PTI’s allegation of sharing ‘sensitive info’ with PML-N

Due to the presence of protesters at the main gate, senior party leaders who arrived at Khan’s residence to attend PTI Punjab Parliamentary Board meeting were unable to leave the house.

Khan’s tone changed seeing the influx of more and more protesters.

Earlier, during the day while addressing nearly 100 workers he categorically stated that he would not change his decision in the face of protests.

“You know me very well. I am not in a habit of changing my decision or succumbing to any kind of pressure,” he told workers, adding that all the tickets have been distributed in a fair manner and on the advice of the parliamentary boards working for many days to finalise the best candidates.

“I take party decisions honestly without any fear. At this stage, if I revert my decision due to your presence here, tomorrow thousands will gather here to force me for the same,” he said.

On the occasion, Khan listened to the protesting workers who objected to forming an alliance in Gujrat and Chakwal with the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid and awarding tickets to electables while ignoring the life-long struggle of party workers.

An infuriated worker told Khan, “You have always preached party workers to take the corrupt to task while on the other hand, you have awarded them party tickets.”

PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry also commented on the issue in a lighter way.

“We have more people outside Bani Gala than the football stadium of Moscow. Bigger match of election 2018 [is] going on here, everyone wants PTI ticket because people know this guarantees success,” he tweeted.

Majority of the protesters present at Bani Gala are from constituencies of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The party workers have been protesting outside Bani Gala for over a week. On Chand Raat, they had gone probably to celebrate Eidul Fitr with their families, but returned on Monday.

PTI criticises former CJP

The PTI on Monday claimed that Sharifs of Raiwind had fielded former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to malign Imran Khan on unfounded accusations after Reham Khan failed to serve the purpose.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, the PTI spokesperson criticised the former CJP, who is also the president of his political party Pakistan Justice and Democratic Party (PJDP).

He termed Chaudhry as the “worst ever” individual in country’s judicial history, who used his position to mint billions of rupees from high-end corporations through blackmailing.

PTI’s criticism is apparently in the backdrop of a recent political happening where PJDP challenged the nomination papers of PTI chief Imran Khan in Karachi and Islamabad allegedly for concealing assets and having a ‘lovechild’, Tyrian Jade Khan-White.

The PTI spokesperson said before the 2013 general elections, the PML-N had hatched a conspiracy to steal the elections in connivance with Iftikhar Chaudhry and justice (retd) Khalilur Rehman Ramday.

He alleged that in return the elder Sharif had promised Chaudhry the president of Pakistan’s slot, but later Nawaz Sharif changed his mind. He said that now again Sharifs had been using Chaudhry to further their designs ahead of the general elections.

Chaudhry Nisar rules out seat adjustment with PTI

“He [Iftikhar] is trying to play the same dirty game that Rehman Khan had tried to play but failed miserably. He is being used by Sharifs of Raiwind as a player against Imran Khan,” the PTI spokesperson said, adding that it was unfortunate that in Pakistan such dirty individuals were being used by political opponents to further their agenda against Khan.

“He [Iftikhar] has no moral standing and his politics revolves around mudslinging against others,” he said.

He said the whole world was aware of Iftikhar Chaudhry’s character, who used his son Arsalan Iftikhar, as his front man to do corruption.

“Iftikhar used to take suo motu notices against rich corporations and later his son used to make settlements and both of them earned billions of rupees through this practice,” he said, adding that the cases of EOBI and Eden Housing scheme were clear-cut examples of his corruption.

“Iftikhar’s character is a cancer for Pakistani society. PTI will ask NAB that why it is silent over the corruption of former CJP given enough available evidence against him and his son,” he said.

On the performance of the caretaker government, the PTI spokesperson said, “Performance of the caretaker governments is not up to the mark and its pace is very slow when it comes to taking important decisions to ensure free and fair elections.

Feeling ignored: PPP loses former stalwart to PTI

“The caretaker government should shake up the system ahead of general elections by reshuffling the bureaucracy, especially in Sindh and Punjab,” he said, adding that several individuals who were named in judicial commission’s report in 2014 for stealing elections in favour of PML-N were still holding important positions in Punjab.

He said the PTI has recently raised objections in writing but the ECP has been paying no heed. He said the given situation was creating doubts about fair and free elections in the country.

This is so true. PTI has lost a lot of credibility due its acceptance of so-called 'electables'.

It had to be done. Imran had to swallow a bitter pill and go down the electables route and I fully understand his decision. He would NOT HAVE a chance otherwise. This is Pakistan. Our society is still morally backwards and will continue voting for crooks for the next 5 or so years. So Imran had to do the sensible thing. Once he comes into power things will begin to change rapidly. Pakistan will finally begin heading towards the Pakistan that we had all dreamt of.

So this one small compromise will reap MASSIVE success and prosperity inshallah. Just believe in him. That's all he asks.

Pakistan has a choice.

5 or so more years with one of the most corrupt governments in the history of mankind or Imran Khan albeit with some electables. But a promise of a bigger and brighter Pakistan.

July 25th is the second most important day in the history of Pakistan. The first being it's creation.

That’s what I have been trying to make my gullible aquinatnces understand... u r spot on bro .. people have a choice to make .. either continue to bring Nooras and 10%s into power or give a chance to the likes of Imran khans who obviously wont do any worse. Pakistanis have nothing to lose if they give khan a chance .. this indeed is a water shed moment in Pakistan’s history..

This! He has to go down the electables route to get into power. The media is trying to sell this narrative that PTI after getting electables on board is similar to PMLN and PPP which is not true as the difference between them is Imran. No one can claim Imran is corrupt which is the reason PTI is different from both PMLN and PPP (Nawaz and Zardari respectively).

Pakistan is a country where the culture flows top down, we have seen this during the Army tenure as well. Therefore, once you have Imran at the top I'm certain that he would bring through positive change at the fundamental levels below. We have already seen the professionalism instilled within KP police, education system, medical infrastructure and blueprint, etc.

Exactly. First they aid he doesn't understand politics and now that he has finally understood pakistani politics he is being slated again. Those that criticise should just admit they don't like IK and his policies. But they wont because that would mean admitting they want Bilawal or one of the sharifs in power.

One of the first things he's going to do is stop the distribution of dev funds. This will automatically change the way electables are seen.

Imran's papers from Karachi, Lahore, Mianwali and Bannu accepted. Due to a technical error rejected in Islamabad but he will file appeal and complete it.

All the cheap objections by Iftikhar Chd and PMLN rejected. Poor ex CJ got his own papers rejected from a seat for not declaring assets :yk

Status of Imran Khan's nomination papers:

1. Lahore: Accepted
2. Bannu: Accepted
3. Islamabad: Rejected
4. Karachi: Accepted
5. Mianwali: Accepted

I think majority of Pakistani media does not want status quo to change in Pakistan as a result anything khan will do they will see to it that it gets a bad a press no matter what..

I m told that Bandial guy would be contesting elections on PMLNs ticket and I haven’t see any hue and cry in the media about him getting the ticket from pmln as compared to how almost all media Channels came out all guns blazing when he was about to join PTI..

Btw, On a side note why do Nooras call Imran khan Imran Niazi when the whole world knows him as Imran khan . I know he comes from a niazi tribe but I hadn’t heard anyone calling him Imran Niazi ever before .. this kind of sounds racist to me ..

Kiani is a titular surname used by many Ghakkars, a local tribe of Pindi district. It might work in PTI's favor. But, tbh, I was very surprised by these results. Remember that much of the urban pro-PTI vote in the old NA-54 has been carved from this constituency and into the new NA-61.

Given this, I am seeing PTI and its allies sweeping the 3 seats of Rawalpindi city. I still consider NA-61 to be 50-50 because there is no PTI candidate there and AML is contesting on it, way out of its comfort zone. If there were any PTI candidate there, the seat would be 100% PTI's given its constituent area of Chaklala Cantt and a portion of old NA-56 (IK's constituency). I consider it a blunder to bring in Sheikhu there.

And Sheikhu has been crying over these past few days about 'not enough time to run a campaign' and 'people won't come out in July heat'. He is already making excuses. IMO, any 'party' that cannot run a campaign for two NA seats within a single city should have never been given any preference on the table of a national-level party like PTI. We could have just stuffed NA-62 in Sheikhu's belly and he should have been happy but he needed more, and what's worst, PTI conceded.

Even today, if PTI puts up a candidate against Sheikh Rashid in NA-62, he will come in third with PTI might just edging PMLN in the overall race. That's the state of affairs for him and his tanga party and PTI gave him two seats.

Whenever you post about Shekhu's two constituencies i get depressingly angry at PTI's folly.

In reality PTI has the potential to clean sweep Rawalpindi if PTI avoids making mistakes. With Nisar also contesting as an independent the wave is definitely with PTI. In urban areas of Islamabad PTI was already very strong. Tsunami is truly there in Rawalpindi.

The whole of the Pothowar should be natural PTI constituency with a reasonably literate population with political awareness.

Good performance by Fawad Ch in Hamid Mir show today! Talal Ch was taken to cleaners using the same method PMLN have been using from years :)))

I'm definitely going to watch this comedy now. :D

The way things are looking it seems that only a Monsoon can stop tsunami on 25th of July.

Parliamentary board should get the things right now and we can have a shot at 110 NA seats. :)

PMLN started this dirty game and now i am ok with it if they really wanted to play it with way now PTI is just giving it back to them. Nobody knew about Farooq Khan and Talal link with Pepsi but now it's all over social media and Faisalabadis are sharing stories :yk

Completely agree with you Ch Nisar going Ind is a bonus for us should have cashed our popularity in Rawalpindi instead of taking things for granted and giving one extra seat to Sheikhu and gifting one ticket to Kayani just because he don't have a halqa.

It is time to reevaluate PTI's chances.

So, the KPK score of PTI is very much predictable , and it is going to be around 23-29. And if we assume another 12 seats from Sindh, Baluchistan and Fata, we get roughly around 38-40 seats excluding Punjab.

The battleground is Punjab. Here we have 141+3 Islamabad seats. How can you guys predict Punjab NA results?

I would estimate 10-12 seats to Independents out of those 141 and 2 PPP.

So, it comes to those 125 seats which will be shared between PTI and N league. If PTI gets 40 from rest of Pakistan including Islamabad then a 50-50 split in those 125 Punjab seats will give PTI another 60 seats that will cross the magical number of 100 seats, majority of those 10-14 independents will join the winning party which could take PTI seats to 110.

In a nutshell, all we need is to restrict N league below 60 to get a comfortable majority in parliament.

For now i will stick to my old prediction of giving PTI 50 seats from Punjab but i will increase the number in KP from 22 to 25 based on recent surveys and tickets and decrease from 2 to 0 in Baluchistan (thanks to Rind for ignoring Pashtuns, He himself can't win his seat and we dont have any influential Sardars in party). So my overall estimate still remains around 90.

Punjab: 50 seats
Sindh: 10 seats
KPK: 25 seats
FATA: 4 seats
Islamabad: 2 seats
Baluchistan: 0 seats

Maximum of 90 NA seats for PTI

Does your estimate includes around 4 seats of AML and PML Q in PTI basket?

If PTI gets 50 from Punjab then it means N league gets around 70 seats from Punjab

Explain the link- i am not upto date with this.

nah doesn't include PMLQ but sheikhu seat is counted and i am not gonna give PMLQ more thn 3 seats (Gujrat, Talagang(Chakwal), Bahwalpur (Cheema)).

IMHO your Ind estimate is less than what is expected because many strong electables even after getting PMLN ticket are going Ind in elections. For example no one from Jhang is accepting Noon ticket. Asim Nazir (Faisalabad MNA from last 16 years 2002, 2008, 2013) is given PMLN ticket but he and his family are going independent that's the news so far.

Allah begum Kulsoom ko sehat de all my prayers for her but i am wondering do you guys believe something like 2008 can happen? The whole nation that moment forgot who was Zardari and he became party chairman, president and PPP rules over us thanks to sympathy vote. PMLN is already playing this "humain maa / biwi se milne nae dya card" although their names were never on ECL and they were in govt.

If she is on ventilator then chances are high that sad news can come anytime.

For PTI at this stage I'd say :

KPK - 25
FATA - 5
Islamabad - 2
Punjab - 59
Sindh - 7
Balochistan - 1
Total - 99

Overall:
PTI - 99
PML-N - 63
PPP - 35
MMA - 14
MQM-P - 11
GDA - 9
BAP - 4
BNP - 3
PML-Q - 3
PKMAP - 2
PSP - 1
ANP - 1
AML - 1
IND - 26

I predict most independents to join PTI while a PTI led coalition government is formed between PTI, AML, PML-Q, GDA, and BAP.

Here is the scenario on 7 NA of Rawalpindi in case there is no seat Adjustment with Ch Nisar.

Going by recent surveys it's safe to say PTI (+Sheikh) stand more than 50% chances of winning NA-61, NA-62, NA-63. (these 3 seats includes areas like Raja Bazar, Taxila, Rawalpindi Cantt etc)

NA-60 was up for an easy grab but PTI risked it by giving it to Shiekh Rasheed as mentioned by awan_from_soon

NA-59 PTI chances increased there because of divided vote between Ch Nisar and PMLN. There is not even a slight chance of PMLN winning it and its going to be between Ch Nisar and PTI.

PTI is really weak in NA-57 (Murree area, PMLN's Khaqan Abbasi will probably win it) and PTI is also weak in NA-58 (Gujjar Khan area, according to reports its going to be a 3 way fight there PMLN vs PTI vs PPP)

New ground survey out by these guys, PTI have taken the lead for the first time.

These guys are going to release surveys every 10 days up until the election, and from what I know, they have a ground team. Will be interesting to see the trend.

So far, their surveys have trended upward for PTI overall:

83 seems about right for the number of seats PTI is going to manage but 79 seems too high for PML-N.

I just had a chat with these guys. They sent me their methodology, it is sound:

METHODOLOGY: Our coverage was national for the first time (all four provinces including FATA), and rural/urban, based on 3355. 56% of our respondents were male, the balance women. 33% we young (under 30), 49% middle aged (30-50), and 19% old (50+). 65% of our respondents were in rural areas and 35% of the respondents were in urban areas. Our mode of surveying was face to face, and the survey was conducted from June 8-13. You can expect a margin of error of 3-4% at a 95% confidence interval.

They also told me that one of the major political parties are their clients.

PTI winning 83 seats if the election were held today is a really good position to be in. All really rests on the next month, and whether or not PTI manage to generate a wave or not. If they can generate a wave and get people out to vote on election day, we should easily be heading for 100+ seats.
