I apologize for being away during the draft but seems our vice captain has secured a champion squad. What does everyone think about the team composition so far?

Would love everyones input on the potential emerging players we should draft.

Faheem has been picked,
Think let's go for Rizwan if available, dont think there is any offspinner in draft already have got two slow left armers so i guess shud not go for Ashgar and Nawaz
 
Nawaz is still not a bad option. Spin option and can bat. But I think maybe we should prioritize batsmen at this point.

Think we only have 3-4 pure batting.

I think we are a batsman short so we should definitely look to fill that up. Sahibzada or Rizwan would be good picks I think.

We have lots of batting options as we have picked many pure allrounders and also we now have 4 pure batsmen, so i guess batting department is also covered

Not bad for the remaining emerging player picks. We got a batsmen and Anwar Ali could be a good bench player so long as we don’t need to start all 3 emerging players.

How many overseas players can we pick for that portion of the draft? You all think we should get More batting depth or fast bowler?

My player type and UN talkz’s player type might need to be revised in order to fit into our setup. We have 6 solid bowling options. But have only started 1 emerging player, Faheem Ashraf. Not sure how we can accommodate the remaining 3 overseas players required to be drafted.
We definitely should look for batting reinforcements via the overseas draft.

We have enough fast bowlers, we need a batsman and off spinner is must.

I have stickied that thread now on the PP Leagues section. Please go through the OP of that thread carefully. Also check the general rules thread (stickied) too for more important announcements.
 
For the diamond and gold rounds I think we should target a specialist bowler. Preferably a off spinner and a LH pacer.

Ashwin and Amir?

What are we going to do about our WK? Maybe try to grab Jos butler or take dickwella/Taylor

Lets try for Amir or Mitchell Johnson in Diamond, would give us the left arm quick we need.

And
KP in GOLD Category
 
We went with Marlon Samuels as he has high batting skill for Silver and can bowl spin. Think our bowling unit is solid atm with all the All rounders too.

Will just need to strategize with our player category to enhance our bowling unit. Plus UN talkz will most likely be changing to left arm fast so we have variety.

I’ve heard pure AR don’t have much value during the sim unless the pitch is devilish but their batting still can’t be counted on. Every other league I played, it was always kept to the lowest number of AR and that helped in the long run.


Just giving some thoughts, the rest is up to you captain

Yea completely agree. We should change them. Any suggestions? At this moment I am thinking we need LF and another Batsman WK, off spinner as well.

Yeah, definitely bring in a LH pacer along with an off spinner.

Since our home ground has a high level of swing, we should go with 3 pacers and we could slot in Fahim Ashraf as well. 5 regular bowling options should be the way to go imo.

Now, we have a great batting line up and can alternate between 3/4 frontline bowlers as required. With Faheem/Anwar as 4th option on bat pitches and Hadi/tusker as 4th when pitch is bowler friendly.

Our 5th bowl option would be Malik/Samuels/faheem/anwar when required.

What do you all think?

Gents, feel free to comment and advise on the player categories.

We wanted to get the strongest squad possible with our drafted players and allowed changes.

The VC and I spent a lot of time trying to tweak the squad to find the perfect balance but if we missed a trick, please say so.

Priority, as always, is to win the Cup and failure is not an option.

WK is my real life skill anyway. And I can hold kholi's hand like MSD does so his low IQ does not affect our teams chances.
 
As people have said already that this sim is little ret*rded.

we need 5 good bowlers to win matches. Batting depth can't be utilized anyway as sim does not understand complex strategy. So one allrounder is more than enough.

5 conditions best specific bowlers+5 best available batters+WK= victory/moral victory!

You think we are weak on bowling?

I can change my player type to bowler instead of bat, if needed.

Right now, we have 3 solid bowlers (LF,RF,ROS) with two emerging bowlers (RFM,RLS) ready to replace Faheem and an extra bat.

We can bat deep if we play fewer bowlers, but with our strong top order, we may not need as much depth.
 
Looks great. I will take my role as the finisher and do the upmost best I can.

I tried and had consent from all team captains except for the Quetta Gladiators.

Coincidentally, they are also our first match of the tournament. Let’s show them the fury of the Sultans. I’ll bring you up the order if you can promise a quick fire 50. Otherwise, you stay as a finisher.

Gents, we have our third match against the in form Karachi. This will be played at our home and I’ve picked devillish pitch.

Any input on the starting XI for this match? Especially considering our home conditions and pitch being devillish. If you have played in similar conditions before, how did the match play out? Bat or bowl first? Should we go with extra bat or bowl?

Also, I’m thinking of changing up the openers so that we can better use from our higher skilled batters. So maybe Da future Knick comes 4th instead of opening and we open with Jatt and Imam.

Should we play any internationals in this match? We have:

Kohli (4 games)
Malik (3)
KP (4)
Samuels (3/4) i can’t remember if we played him first match or not. Think we did so 3 games left.
