WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED???? i leave when we are at lunch with 100 opening partnership and when i come back now we are 150 for 6 and other then openers nobody has even reached double figures. We are doomed in this test.:P :P :P
 
This is a warmup match yaar . Come on.. I still think Pakistan middle order will perform better then their opener in this series.

btw not a long time ago Pakistan's batting problem was opener.

Yaar you know i know that Jamsheed is fine but umar has a habit of giving his wicket away. Thats the last person you need in test but seeing this unbelievable and yet believable collapse. So this means the pitch is supporting bowlers and hafeez and jamsheed are our only hope.
 
Just awesome, they were 100 for not last time I saw,now they r 150 for 6. Pakistan lost 6 wickets for 50 runs. Posters should'nt be given the Pak batters the benifit of the doubt by making excuses about the pitch. No pitch on earth can influence a batting lineup to crumble like this, and there is no tv link or radio link to show us the pitch conditions. The most unfortunate part is the ppl who need to be booted out are indispensable as one is a captain and another is former captain, both r senior players. Asad Shafiq is useful player but is doing extreme disservice to himself. The only place for change by the tour selection cmte. will be a junior like Asad Shafiq and will be replaced with Miandad's nephew which is his only qualification.
This batting order can make world record in consuming balls and scoring the least amount of runs from that.
After seeing the pathetic behavior of the team players who try to resist newcomers and push for their own favorites has ridiculed the selection cmte. to select promising and outstanding performers at the domestic level, to sit on the chairs of the dressing room and carry water bottles for likes of Misbah, the Indian hero of World Cup 2012 and World T20 2007.
 
Raining, more moisture means more movement means Pakistan are not surely going to be out before scoring 200.

Jamsheed impressed with hafeez and gave us a little confidence. Who knows maybe we will strike back on the second innings.
 
No matter Middle order or Opening, Batting has been the problem which haunted us. its still being haunted.. and will be haunting..

umar akmal and kamran akmal required! misbah and azhar ali are too defensive and as far as kami is concerned the last series his keeping was up to the mark! he is a much better batsman thn sarfraz i dont even knw why is he on this tour.

Sarfaraz is a better player:kami.. he would perform..In Sha Allah.
 
gulley made ten so he has the third highest score today. Gul is becoming a good lower order batsmen slowly.
 
He has been better than our middle order Batsmen for the past 2 years...

YEah atleast he can offer 15 to 25 runs which is very good for out lower order batting.
 
This is worrying a pretty raw young sa invite xi attack has just ripped through us like a knife through butter.

God knows what steyn, morkel, philander, kallis and Peterson will do.

Kamran Akmal is more required in bet365.com, as far as Umar Akmal is concerned he is the worst batsmen in the lineup who gives his wicket away at crucial times nevr finished and is a nightmare for the tour selection cmte. actually news just in he is'nt going to play the game as he has been injured during practice, hidden sources claim that he is doing these antics as his brothers were not selected.
Pakistan will fare ok till these brothersr kept away from the playing XI.

Yes. He has a habit of giving his wicket away, but he has the best technique of all pakistani batters to play pacer bowling.

The best thing to do for Umar's development, is to keep him away from T20s, and play him in ODIs and tests. Dropping him from tests where playing pace is going to be the biggest factor, is just not right IMO
 
a great start but disastrous batting by the middle order. from past few months, our middle order has been struggling a lot which is not a good sign at all. i hope they were just being easy and relaxed as its a warm up game but i hope they bring their a game when the real test begins. good batting by both openers especially nasir as it was his first outing in SA. he has to learn to play long innings now to survive in test arena
 
I did not expect that after being 100-0 at one stage....Even the ball was a lot softer when opener Hafeez got out...Little bit of cloud and here goes our solid middle order batting..
 
Is Umar Gul trying to protect tailender Sarfraz from the strike? :P

og great another one on PP. Listen beta Your akmal brothers are rubbish. Umar sahib doesnt understand the meaning of staying at the crease. this isnt smash and bang cricket janaab. Plz no thanks, brainless the boy wonder is not required until he finds a brain. as for his brother oh please were you born yesterday? the worst keeper in the history pakistan and mentally my goldfish is stronger!! keep em away from pakistan test cricket!!
 
please no akmal brothers. there is 'whitewash' written allover their faces.

sarfraz 10.....

They both did a whole lot better then our middle order especially gul.
 
They should declare as Sarfraz gets out...Thus the batsmen will have another chance to practise in 2nd innings..
 
Thats it STUMPS Day 1 : 178/6 - 33 run partnership by Gully and Sarfraz
 
Middle order needs to bat better, Hafeez and Nasir are not consistent and if middle order doesn't find form soon Pak is in deep trouble.
