We can't surely have lost more matches then we won when Malik batted in top 4?

I mean no way Malik can average 10 in Sri Lanka, 14 in South Africa, 9 in England.

Cricinfo is messed up. It's database seems to show Malik averaging 18 vs Australia, 6.50 vs New Zealand, 10 vs South Africa.

I heard that too but I hope he doesn't accept £100,000. Either they pay him what he is worth or he shouldn't get out of bed.

At this stage in his career with his legacy secure, it's not about money but respect. It's disrespectful to only offer the G.O.A.T £100,000/week.

I dont understand how anyone can actually support shoaib malik these days. Sure he has great domestic stats and he once used to be a decent international player. Those days are long gone though.

Last 2 years he has played 24 ODIs. Has an average of 18 with a SR of 70. These stats include minnows zimbabwe, ireland, afghanistan.

He can make triple hundreds in domestic for all anyone cares, but if he cant perform in international hes useless until further notice.

Malik's a star player in T20 domestic. In fact I'm sure he's the best one there in Pakistan domestic. Best batsman, best captain, good bowler, excellent fielder. No competition. Really no point arguing his worth there even if he got a duck or two.

In turn it's also not worth arguing on how Malik's a star player in international T20. He ain't by any stretch of imagination. He's average. Hasn't lived up to his potential at all. And before this position excuse comes up, Malik himself liked to play down the order in domestic T20, finish games and get his team out of trouble if the rest fail which more often or not he succeeded. Just doesn't do that at international level.

Been one of shoaibs biggest supporters throughout his career, hes a top bloke which makes it easier as well.

His performances in england genuinely sickened me however and he looked thoroughly inept. To watch him play like he did yesterday has bemused me if anything.

Still think maybe he he has something to offer if utilised properly-a number 6 batter who can hit big and a part time spinner/world class fielder.
