Both feasted on India during there purple patch but at least YK has a ODI hundred in a tough chase under lights in Engm

Absolutely. Malik needs to replace Younis at 3 in tests. Younis in inconsistent and fails about 66 percent of the time and gets on big ton per series

I would rather have Malik get 50's every game, and a ton every other!

2 takkay ka cricketer has only one 100 in test and a walking wicket in difficult conditions and against Quality attacks and this Majnoo is day dreaming :)) :))

That was because Malik was not tight enough early on, and not so good temperamentally. He's better now, as is proven by his marriage to Sania!

Like I said, he had a poor temperament then, was young. But he is solid, gets out caught behind, lbw, bowled less than Younis

Also, check how often Younis falls under 10 and compare to Malik to see who is solid!

Remove innings under Malik/Misbah who misused him, and gave him no confidence!

I am discussing tests.

He should replace Younis in tests.

It's obvious Malik should be in the ODI team, he's the best limited overs bat we have, why would anyone discuss that?

*No test matches under Afridi. Under Butt he scored more runs at 6 7 than at No. 4, He is averaging 53 under Younis Khan

Can you argue any of the points I posted about how Malik is better than Misbah in ODI's, and Younis in tests?

A young energetic captain, I think Malik is good with youth too. Would let Umar Akmal play at number 4, because he knows talent. Bring in Harris Sohail. Put Amin to open. Would bring Maqsood in at 5. Malik himself at 3. If Amin fails, give Shafiq a try at opening (Number 3 and opening not that different). Not tell Shehzad to play 50 overs, but to play as he wants

England and India series were a long time ago. And you're talking about that horrid tour to SA back in Feb? We won the series in Nov without the presence of your hero. So we don't need him.

With all due respect to Malik, his written english wouldn't be that good. No disrespect whatsoever but that is how I feel.

How many hundreds does Misbah have despite playing in the right position?

Malik was mentally shot. It is not easy to recover when the captain has no confidence in you. Malik's main problem was that the captain did not have any trust. This is why Malik had huge problems in the Pakistan shirt, he looked scared.

As captain, this problem won't happen again to him. The reticent I showed while batting is proof he was mentally shot

This doesn't make any sense. Misbah played all five straight years skipping no match while Malik has been in and out of team in those years, played few only. I can say he was rightly kicked out when he didn't perform in few years. But this kind of comparison doesn't make any sense.

Shoaib Malik has been giving long run in Champion League. And he is delivering 50 consistently which some of them are unbeaten including his 84* in T20 format.

If Shoaib Malik gets similar run as Misbah gets, Shoaib Malik would give you a couple of hundred [which he had done in the past] while Misbah can never will which is something i am not able to understand. Misbah cannot convert 50 into big inning which always has been big weakness for Misbah.

One thing for sure that Malik would have never choked in Mohali match. :jf

Sachin is good for scoring hundreds that won't win you games. Malik will play impact innings under pressure to win you games
