A seriously out of form Malik puts out a destructive Malinga yorker. There was no need for him to put his toes on the line, he could have just moved out and allowed Malinga to hit the stumps. His place for the next series is secured regardless. But he didnt.

You don't count any extra runs that are ran between the wickets once the target is achieved... (unless it's a boundary, of course... in which case you're not running between the wickets but thought should put it anyways in case some idiot decides to go "But they add it when it goes for 4 or 6!! That's wrong!")

Why put yourself at risk when you dont have to? One person might called that being a coward, another would call it being smart. You can use your feet to steer the car if you want to, but that dont make it a good idea :zaka

Malik put himself at risk for his team today. There is nothing more to say.

No, that is what Malik is supposed to do. If he decides to jump out the way, he should be charged for deliberate underperformance. There are no two ways about it, he's being paid to put his services forward for the Pakistani National cricket team and if he isn't willing/too scared to do that, then he should be dropped immediately and dealt with a heavy fine. :ibutt

Im sure he could have got out the way and made it look non-deliberate, and with his spot already secured for the Bangladesh series, this dismissal would have been forgotten. But in the end, however, all that needs to be said is that Malik thought about the team first

It was joke man. People are still criticizing Malik today despite him not having much to do in this game and Im doing the opposite by praising him for what he did do. Perhaps a bit ott but meh.

You marked the "Thick Edge" but Malik played it intentially..as you saw the match..you might have noticed that before playing that ball..Malik took note of the field placing.

It was very obvious that Dilshan put all (but two) his fielders in the circle, it would have been hard to steal single and Malik is no-nonsense kind of player...so I am sure he wasn't thinking to hit over the fielders...

so he had to guide the ball to third man ...though it required extreme skills
and
it was Malik's first ball.
