PTV Sports has decided to interrupt the cricket broadcast to show Chacha Firdaus Ashiq Awan coming to some PTV function.

Certianly, one good match makes up for many failures

All :farhat needs to do is to secure an 50 against Bangladesh, and he will have secured his place for another year
 
If malik gets back in form and plays the way he use to then its fine keep him , but if he plays like hes been playing i think there plenty of pakistan players playing domestic tht can do a better job !! ... and malik fans are just over obssesed by him they should calm down a little !!

After Gul's, Malik's was the best performance by any Pakistani player

Yesterday’s T20 side for example struck a good balance between defence and attack, seam and spin. In fact, shifting this line-up to the ODI sphere, Azhar Ali could walk right in at the expense of Malik’s spot (in which case Younis would have to miss out which is a pity given that he is a better ODI batsman than Misbah).


But yesterday’s victory, attributable completely to the bowlers, will add some superficial gloss to Malik’s innings and serve to call attention away from the fact that he is completely pointless as a middle-order batsman.

Why do people have such short memories.

Malik has done a lot of good things for pak in the past.

We should appreciate that.

He is a brilliant T20 player.
 
^ Malik is a Cancer and should be eradicated from the team as soon as possible - his wrong doings beat his good things by long distance
 
What was skipper thinking by keeping your best player waiting waiting and waiting?

Malik is the only Pakistani player (second only to Great Inzi) who can pace the inning and got all the gears.


Sometimes I think how could misbah sleep after all those chokes :facepalm:

seriously I just couldn't believe when the likes of Misbah, Umar Akmal, Afridi, Azam kept coming ahead of Malik <disgraceful>

malik is useless he should retire and look after his wife and make kids. been useless for quite some time to be honest since 2006 sri lanka tour.

made 100 vs india in 2009 and few good 50s now and then but overall been rubbish

he won us t20 few days back...

he took the best catch of the series

he was not given chance otherwise he could have accelerated in middle overs against spinners.

what would u get out of this? did malik paid u some desi money? u forgot how he batted in 2nd t20? or for past few years?

u only can name few good innings from malik past 5 years vs top teams. if im wrong then correct me. apart from that 100 vs india

he was the highest scorer in the last complete test series he played.
he was the second highest scorer in the last complete icc tournament he played.
in t20wc that we won, he is third contribution-wise in wins against major teams.

in last asia cup, he was the most assured batsman vs india..


by the way, you need to answer about his performance of few days back.

you just can't jumping from one branch to other :ik
 
Malik hasn't scored a 40 in 30 international innings.

BZ, is there any other top order batsman in cricket history who has gone 30 innings without making a score over 39?

You seem to be knowledgeable regarding the game, so you might know the answer.

A player has to make his place in the team as a player (by scoring runs or taking wickets) BEFORE he is appointed a captain;

I like malik he used to be a good player. But at tge moment that guy is horrendously out of form. He used to be decent all rounder at best.

He needs to go back to donestic n show he has what it takes to be part of the team again.

Maybe I'll go watch a match if team visit Canada again..
But i am not in to meeting singers, actors and players...let their performance speaks for themselves.

in the end, it does not matter if he beats a fan in the ground :yk or bite a ball :afridi

Captain should won the matches and not inflicting defeat after defeat on pak :misbah

all captains were picked by choice and that was my point.

....AND performance as a player..... That was my point. Hence the post # 6628 above. Because none of the captain picked by IB had an ave of 15.21 in 42 consecutive international innings.

if you mean that Misbah backed Malik, then I am not sure how would your answer following?

- Why Malik was not in playing eleven in two out of four matches?
- Why Malik was batting at #8?
- Why Malik was not even asked to bowl in one match?

T20I

malik won us the first T20I and in third when it was required to bring an experienced player on crease, malik was not even allowed to come and bat.

Malik was better off without that support. He could have played pentagular cup and then let his team won in BLP.

It was far better than joining chokers :yk and :misbah

My point was.... Afridi's batting average (36.51) is still 1.4 times better than 15.21 batting average of Malik's last 42 innings ...the base on which you want Malik to be included in the team and lead the team.
