Very good? he has a strike rate of 24... that means, statistically, he takes a wicket every 4 overs.

First game he did well b/c the pitch had something for the fast bowlers. He can only perform when the ball is swinging (and also against Sri Lanka), if the ball isn't swinging, he can't bowl economically for his life.

his record is turning rather crap now, he's nearly over thirty in bowling average which is terrible in T20. Has the odd good game, but needs to be dropped now.
 
Surely an aging Razaq is a much better option with both bat and ball??

Oh my goodness AZ, are you crazy? People who point out Tanvir's performance on the first t20 cannot be anything but deluded because his performance was distinctly rubbish! What can you possibly see in a 70mph short and wide pie thrower?

I cannot understand how the team management continue to select this excuse of a bowler when Junaid and Wahab are sitting on the bench. In fact, and I am not kidding, I would rather play Ishant Sharma ahead of Tanvir.

I really don't see anything and I mean anything even half, forget that, remotely decent about his bowling.

I'd rather pick an u12 bowler than him - at least the u12 will get better

Best case scenario, tanvir does awful , but Pak still wins.

Even a half decent performance and be will go to Zimbabwe, bash them due to his action and then plague us for another year

Pretty sadistic attitude. Why wish someone not to do well? If he does well what's your problem with him being in the team. Perhaps you just don't like him.

Don't hate him personally. He's a useless player but in Pakistani cricket one good match gets useless players in the team for 10 more.

Because some players have shown there colours for long enough and countless times on the back of one performance they leech on the team. Tanvir doesn't even take a wicket a game. He will probably do well here , bash Zimbabwae then cost us bigger games in the future.

He is the Farhat of bowling.

The reason I think he's useless is because he's one dimensional and there is always the risk of the batsmen taking him to the cleaners.

Always rated him as a T20 bowler. Great bowler in this format.

Having said that, he should be nowhere near the test team and the ODI team.

You ignored giving me an answer to this previously perhaps you can do one now. Also please don't bring in domestic or league performances. He has been around for long enough to discount that

I have a problem with the language you use to describe players from my national team.
 
Sadly, after this performance, he has booked his place for the next T20 WC. Players of his caliber should not playing at international level
