Sohail Tanvir - When will the torture end?

Junaid has 2 overs left only.

If he hadn't taken him off, Tanvir would have bowled right in the end.

Tanvir is a problem in ODIs because he's useless after the first few overs.
 
What was Misbah thinking. Firstly replacing Junaid who was on fire then not giving the ball to Bhatti.

I think Junaid needed some time off after that mini injury.

As for Tanvir, he has thrown all the hard work done by Ajmal and Junaid down the drain. Please stop selecting this guy.
 
He is pure torture and pure rubbish to watch.

He has single handily lost us this match.

I don't love him. He isn't good enough for ODIs/Tests.

He is a good T20 bowler and if he has to play in ODIs for some reason, he should bowl up front and that is it.

Can't bowl in ODIs after the 15th over.

JUNAID hopefully can make up for this guys horror. This will in sha allah mark the end of this useless bowler.
 
i love people saying he should not ball at the death. They are right but tanvir says he can ball at the death, selectors say he can ball at the death, misbah says he can ball at the death , his fans say he can ball at the death.

That has been his justification. His is a t20 specialist who controls the run flow

In reality he is a TTF

Not really it was either Tanvir or Bhatti. But Tanvir should never have been in the team let alone the squad, some other bowler should have been playing perhaps Gul.

First overs main kaunsa karnama kar diya? Wickets nahin deta, economy rate ko chusna hy?

Just because he has variations, Misbah thinks he can bowl at the death.

IMO death bowling in ODIs is all about pace and a good yorker which is why Junaid and Gul do well.

When was the last time he took a wicket upfront ?

Shehzad scored a ton, Junaid was brilliant, Ajmal was brilliant and Tanvir was his usual rubbish self.

If I am not wrong'Lack Of Death Bowlers in Pakistan' or something similar was made by you . where you criticized Irfan, Junaid for their inability to bowl towards the end and at the same time praised 'The Worlds Best Death Bowler Tanvir :sohail'

Come on guys be a bit fair. His two bad overs cost us the match, but he was very good upfront and bowled a lovely 18th over as well.

Hell no, he has been poor all year! The guy averages almost 56 with the ball..Sami would be proud of such a record

Absolute abysmal performance by such a useless player, have been saying it all along, the sooner we drop him the better it will be for Pakistan.

He should really be doing something useful for the team (again since he is pathetic with the ball in hand), and that is being the Kukri he is...anu ka "aandi" dei, team nu fada poonchi koi...full basti karanda hei Pakistani bowling dei
 
What a rubbish bowler. What is the point of giving him new ball when he can not get an early break through? Sohail Tanvir fans You don't want a ball to swing 2 feet to get wickets. All you want is a little swing and seam with decent pace.

Not a good ODI player. I admit, but I want to shed some light on todays performance. Even though he got no wickets, it was a decent performance barring those two bad overs.

Those 2 bad overs came late at a very crucial time when we desperately needed some economical overs, primarily the reason for us losing the match.

Decent performance? What is the point of giving him new ball when he can not get you wickets?

Open your eyes and smell the coffee. Tanvir is pathetic bowler. ADMIT IT.

Not a decent performance, saving runs in the opening overs is good and all, but the crucial aspect of the game is to pick up WICKETS...and he is NOT a strike bowler! He is a puss bowler.......

He has this special ability of somehow, taking winning positions and turning them into losing ones!
 
how many times has he bowled such "2 bad overs" which has cost us the game?

Torture not gonna end. Wonder what his average would be if all his extras given (no balls and wides) were added in. Normally averages at least one free hit no ball per game doesn't he?

To be fair you made a few posts saying that he's one of the best new ball bowlers in Pakistan.

You also said you rate him.

You also said Tanvir was 'class'.

You also said that he's good at swinging the ball.

You also said that you favour him because he has the tools required for bowling with the new ball.

You also praised his death bowling.

I'm not sure if you specified a format, and I cba to pursue this any further and look for specific posts, but you definitely made several pro- Tanvir posts.

If you've finally come to your senses, I'm glad.

I rate Tanvir as a T20 specialist. Best T20 seamer in Pakistan after Gul who is an ATG in this format.

If he's to play ODIs, give him 7 overs up front and that's it. Even on his disastrous days, he's quite decent with the new ball.

At his pace, he's always going to be disastrous at the death and in the middle overs.

No shouldn't play today. Bhatti should make way for Anwar and Haris should replace Afridi.
 
How is Tanvir a good T20 bowler? Averages nearly 30 with not even a wicket per game. ER is okay but nothing special. Gul is a special LOI bowler no doubt but Tanvir is very ordinary. Pathetic actually.

Gul is special no doubt, but Tanvir is much better in T20s than the likes of Junaid and Irfan.

He is the strike bowler and should play Tests and ODIs. Tanvir can fill in for him in T20s and can also swing the willow.

I agree he isn't physically capable of playing all three formats but what's the difference between sitting out in T20's but then playing tests and ODI's. T20 is only four overs anyway.

I think he should be rotated and that's the way it should be.
