Actually in the final Test at Lords on the day the spot fixing news broke he hit 79 not out in a total of 147 all out!

Other than that he didn't look convincing on the tour. He did get a bit of a rough ride but he has himself to blame as well.

He isn't my favorite guy but he is still the best opener we have. It's easy to suggest a player to be dropped by a bit more difficult to suggest a replacement.

Hafeez isn't word class but we don't have have openers like Cook, Vijay and Warner waiting in the ranks. He is the best we have, people should make peace with it.

Forget Cook. A Compton would still be better than Hafeez in these conditions. But here's hoping.
