This is good workout for Yasir, I like the fact that he is bowling better googlies than before, that can fetch him wicker, he is our trump card for us.

We came in with Amir, Yasir and Wahab as our main weapons... Wahab's usefulness would be when things get flatter. He can get those crucial breakthroughs. The other key factor is that all three can knockoff the tail cheaply, which is so important in Western conditions!! - I hope they all are fit throughout the series.

Not that we can extrapolate anything from these practice games, I would suggest you look at how New Zealand and Australia performed in their tour games last year before labelling this an average performance.

This is a 3 day game where much needed match practice is needed by both batsmen and bowlers which we have got, as per usual you slit your wrists over the most minor of things, its quite boring to read!

I think purpose of these games are to find combinations & giving players time in the middle. This innings, PAK bowlers are just going through the motions. Don't think result of such matches are any indicative - if PAK wanted to win, probably could have declared at 300/5 on day 1 & finished the match by tea Day 2.

3 day practice matches are often like this, between two unmatched sides - after 1st innings, the game becomes formality. There is another 4 day match going on between even sides, where there is a stake of win-loss; SRL A have scored 70/3 in 40 overs and that game'll go to the wire.

That's because, only he has some stake left in 2nd innings; others have almost fixed their spot for Lord's in 1st innings & going through the motions. Misbah is extremely conventional & rigid; therefore still operating with his main bowlers; may be after tea he'll use Azhar, YK or even MoHa.
