Good to see dwaine gets a game I have been following him since that champions league 3 years ago.He is really a good all round cricketer. I hope he plays good in this game

Time for Steyn to focus only on tests now. At 33 he's too old to play multiple formats and will be ineffective in ODIs. Won't make it to the 2019 World Cup anyway.

They can butcher any bowling lineup on a flattish pitch. OZ and England have scary batting lineups to be honest. The only bowler who can really trouble those lineups is Starc and he plays for OZ :))

If these Aussie bowlers can't defend 371 then they're just utterly pointless.

I think India are better at chasing big scores. Australia are front runners, I don't see them having the ability to chase 350+

I think SA will chase it. Aussie attack looks weak while the SA batting is pretty strong. Ball is coming on to the bat beuatifully too

Gave the much needed impetus. De Kock was striking at 80-100 while he was going at 140-150.

Typical dross from you. De Kock was struggling and Amla single-handedly gave the Proteas a great start. Watch the match.
 
There's nobody is better than Amla to capitalise PP. And yet some people don't want him due to he can't accelerate late stage (after 30 overs).

What has happened to JP Duminy.

Not too long ago this guy helped chase down 200+ vs India in a t20, striking it clean.

Guess bouncy pitches not his style. Pedestrian effort by him so far. All down to Miller.

SA has lost it. Don't think chase is on anymore
 
Decent fight from Miller. About time he repaid South Africa's investment in him, as his career has been an Umar Akmal-esque let down so far (given the amount of talent he has).
 
Great batting by Killer Miller. That is why Pakistan need an Umar Akmal at 6 who can launch them into the stands with ease rather than someone who takes good looking singles and 2s.

Right thing to presist with such players who will come good with time because its not easy to find good stroke makers like him.
 
SA will do the usual, i mean another too near yet too far chase, they gonna get close and do all the work only to choke as usual, but may be not, after all it's bilateral series, lol
 
They came closer than I thought possible, still won't get my hopes up though. This was a lost cause right from the start. If Miller goes, it's pretty much over.
 
I wonder where Morris is? Injured? Haven't really been following the cricket recently.
 
Imagine if azhar was in place of steven smith, i mean if he was about to fail to defend 370, PP would have lost it by now, all hell would have broke lose.

Aussies have some benchers too but they have a policy of Managing workloads and resting players

Not sure what Saffers are doing

Why didn't Umar Akmal do that for 5 years when he batted at 6?

For eons Akmal fans have been crying that #6 is not his position and he should bat up the order

IF Morris was still to bat I'd be quite positive. The ODIs vs ENG were fantastic.

He opted to play with knee injections in the IPL.
Come our international season he ain't available.
Similar to AB, choosing club over country.
 
Funny how Amla was getting criticised earlier in the thread when he has the highest SR in this innings (including miller) laughable really and shows the lack of cricketing knowledge of some posters. Good Impact knock on his comeback.

Miller the killer should see them through hopefully!
 
Miller playing an absolute blinder on one leg!! Would be a real shame if he ends up on the losing side, however, one team does have to lose and batsmen on both sides have stepped up tonight!
 
Amazing knock by Miller. By the way, the comparison I made with Akmal was just regarding how they have both underachieved with their level of talent. I know Miller has a clutch factor to him at times, while Umar is mentally weak and can't really dream of playing a similar knock in this sort of situation.

I think a lot of that is to do with the mentality of both teams.

Both teams have a never say die attitude and are very aggressive with the way they approach their cricket.

It makes for brilliant matches and great entertainment for the fans.
