He should have bowled zampa earlier. Spinners always have a chance in these situations

I still have in saffers to choke this, how many of you agree?
Great chase great inning by miller, albeit vs third grade bowling, but still it take some doing, congragulations.
What an atmosphere !
This phelukowa is doing his best to lose the game got Saffers
They wouldn't get past 300 against Australia's A attack.
You mean Mitchell Starc? Even he wouldn't have stopped this chase.
Starc, Hazlewood, Coulter-Nile/Pattinson/Cummins/Paris would've easily defended this.

The fielding let them down towards the end. Starc maybe have made it tougher, Hazlewood as well.
Don't think the others would've 'easily' defended this.

To be fair, this is exactly our A team either.

Is that supposed to show how good the Aussie A attack is? 370 is a pretty decent score to defend.
Coulda, shoulda, woulda...
Did South Africa ask Australia not to play those bowlers?
Last series you guys played against Australia, your lot struggled to chase 300 forget 350+ against their A attack.
Why does that matter? I'm not discounting SA's victory.
No, just putting things in perspective. Australia's playing with a club level attack. While it's impressive SA chased 370, it's not anything spectacular and certainly doesn't deserve the hype it's getting considering the bowling quality.
I can guarantee you the next time your lot plays Australia's A attack, they will struggle to chase 300+. You can write it down.Things change over time. You can't predict the outcome of events. We can only say that both teams weren't fielding their absolute best possible team.
It matters because you can only play the team in front of you... And yes, you are discounting SA's victory. You're also contradicting yourself.

Do explain how I am discounting SA's victory. I simply put things into perspective.

I'm explaining the circumstances in which it was achieved in and I disagree with the way it's being hyped. While chasing 372 is an impressive feat, I won't turn a blind eye to the level of opposition(specifically talking about the bowling attack). That depends on what you mean with "discounting". As I understand it, discounting means "as being unworthy of consideration because it lacks credibility". The fact is SA chased down 372, winning the series. That is no mean feat considering our choking habits and the batting depth of this team. "Putting it into perspective" as you're stating is just an excuse for belittling their achievement, and you know it.
It's very possible we'll struggle to chase down 300+, like I said things change over time. In 2014 we beat AUS in Zimbabwe during the tri-series. The series after that we performed horribly. Things change...
What is the point in resting your main bowlers every other series?
What is the point in resting your main bowlers every other series?
I think only Hazlewood is rested, Maxwell has been dropped from the side. Everyone else is injured. These guys are not in the top 10 bowlers in Australia.
You can't fault the selectors for wanting to try new players but when you pick three or four at the same time you end up with horribly weak attacks like this. Try one or two with experienced players like Hazlewood to lead the attack.
