What's new

South Africa beat Australia by 47 runs in the Tri-Nation Series

Phangiso, you gotta be kidding me. You have the team in a stranglehold and you bring on your worst bowler.

Like looking at a scorecard from the 1980s.

Nice to see the batsmen sweat a bit, though the Guyana pitch has been a problem for some time. As i've said before, its a slow pitch so batsmen find it difficult to time their shots.

:)) :))

Tough over for the umpire there!

Finch should of been in the hut whilst Maxwell should have still been out there in my opinion. However, it's only the opinion of the umpire that matters!

Barbados and St Kitts should be better than this. Guyana's always been a slow surface.

I hope they are. Low scoring contests are good but we do need some games where contest between bat and ball is fair

Come on ump!!

I know he's under pressure out there - but this is some of the worst umpiring I've seen in years!

Shamsi robbed of his second wicket. Wrist Spinners are so exciting to watch than these boring finger spinners.

Bring back Imran Tahir and put a slip! These 2 will get out for sure on this pitch.

Warner - probably the most genuine FTB in the world at the moment.

Classic Carribean umpiring :)) Joel Wilson trying to emulate Billy Doctrove.

This Shamsi seems like a good bowler or is it just the pitch? Dont rate Phangiso at all though. Should bowl Shamsi and Tahir in tandem.

Don't read too much into performances of spinners in Guyana. Nearly everyone ends up looking like the next Warne and Murali.

Imagine Ajmal, Hafeez and 2011 Afridi on this surface. Itll be like 2011 world cup quarter final

Shamsi is 25 and already has the required beer belly required for a spinner.

I said Tahir would cause destruction against these poor players of spin on this surface. Have a feeling Wade will try to sweep Tahir and get a top edge

Well now you guys see why (amongst other reasons) why West Indies don't produce quality batsmen or pacers anymore.

Growing up on these kind of wickets are hardly conducive to producing talent.

Worse than 2011 QF. 98 all out after 41 overs :))

According to Misbah, Guyana's the hardest pitch he's ever batted on.

I wouldn't have taken Shamsi off. He was bowling with great rhythm. Poor captaincy again.

The only one who scored for Aus is Finch. Rest all failed.

Finch has been out LBW plumb 3 times and catch dropped by Amla. So could have been out 4 time as well in his inning so far.

Watching some of these guys play spin is like watching an 8 year old play Dark Souls

Smith is no way in the league of Kohli, Root, and Williamson. Whenever, there is something in the pitch, he fails.

Poor Shamsihas been robbed of 4-5 wickets lol.

really poor umpiring, not-outers just annoy me, especially in the age of drs where it should encourage umpires to be braver. not sure why we people let umpires off when they don't give it out when it's plum, but lambast them when they give a batsman out incorrectly. batsmen bias again I suppise

Yes Steyn was one dimensional. But he was the best at what he did. You dont get a strike rate like that in Test cricket if you arent great

Cool story bro. You get a SR like that by getting half your wickets against technically inept batsmen.

Every time he's been attacked by world class batsmen, he's had no answer.

Australia have been reduced to an embarrassing 90/8, although Finch remains the lone warrior.

Its always funny when people try to attack the guy with 400 wickets at an average of 22.

It's always funny when people form their opinions based on stats and haven't a clue about what's happening on the field. Watch the game, not the stat sheet.

He's going to be SA's greatest. Far better than the one trick pony Steyn.

in all honesty I think the SA test team isn't going to be strong enough to allow this to happen, a quota system that hinders the sport=a resentment of that sport

Offtopic, but I read somewhere there are 5 Muslims in the SA team.

Amla bhai
Tahir bhai
Farhaan bhai
Tabraiz bhai
Parnell bhai

mashaAllah :amla

The quota system kind of favours the blacks. Rabada is black. How is the quota system not going to let that happen ? O_o
