Poor from Sarfraz, if Faf had something something about Muslims or brown people he'd been blasted. Maybe he said Phulay is the only excuse I can think off.

It's embedded in our culture, we will call people **** (white) or kaala (black), it doesn't even seem like its racist to the people, my parents, for example, will throw out these terms without consideration and not necessarily as a taunt or a jest.
 
I don't get why Hussain Talat gets so much praise. We might as well have included a specialist batsman like Shan Masood

What do you think SA were thinking when Hassan Ali smashed them for 50?

Pakistani top-order batting has lost this match, not the bowling.

If he really used racist word then that will be a really embarrassing moment for Pakistan. I will compare it to Afridi's ball biting incident.

It will be even more difficult if we won one game against a weakened side and losing this one against an even weaker.

Maybe they are just describing their color.

We don’t have a term like “African-American” in our language to my knowledge.

It’s not racist but a way of differentiating.

In the end, this match seems to be a one-sided one - Just like the 1st one for Pak.

My point being that a tail-ender scoring a 50 is not a travesty that needs to be investigated.

In fact, Andi is being selected as an all-rounder which he has proved to put into effect.

If Pakistan cannot cross 250 in this day and age, they do not deserve to win the World Cup.

Bowlers fought a lost battle, but great effort. I think, just about 35 short, which at one point was possible. It was Hasan hitting hard but Sarfraz got out at wrong time.

I think, when team is defending 200ish total, no way the game will go to 50th, even 45th over, which I think PAK missed today. Also, I don't think using Shadab in multiple sells can work - Leggis need good rhythm and in such low scoring games, one should have bowled him all-through. But, I can't blame Sarfraz alone for this, because of Mickey's love affair with "All-rounders", and he is the last man to coach BD for me, 1 team operating with 3 spinners - absolute clueless regarding operating with spinners. How this guys can drop Imad (only available spinner, otherwise he should never be in ODI squad) on this wicket!!!!

That knock didn't came in such pressure situation. Hasan was clearly playing hoicks which came off. Also SA not playing full strength bowling side.
 
Sarfraz could very well lose his captaincy over this if the media latch on to. Could turn into a huge storm. Poor stuff from him
 
Very poor fielding by Shaheen. Whatever his age, there is no excuse for this abysmal performance

Which makes it even more embarrassing for SA since there was no pressure.

Point is at the end of the day, PAK were at least 30-40 short of a competing total.
 
Getting all out with 4 overs remaining . Those 20 runs are the difference here
 
Shaheen also dropped a chance. He could have easily have Van Durse run out
 
I can find some logic for backing Talat - at least he has the potential to replace Hafeez, someone can bowl few overs of seem in UK, and bat at 6.... really don't see how Fahim can justify his spot in WC squad.
 
PCB should themselves take action. What a disgraceful act from none other than the captain. And he's supposed to be the face of Pakistan in SA. Racism is not acceptable
 
Pakistan has too much bowling options: Faheem, Afridi, Hassan, Shadab, Hafeez, Malik, Talat :facepalm: Needs to drop at least 2 of them and replace with proper batsmen

Are you for real? Talat is in tatters with his today's performance. And worse, he bowls pretty mediocre. Faheem bowls with 140+ at times.
 
Our chances of winning the World Cup will go up if we play Rizwan and Masood along with Amir, Masood probably won't even get a game because Imam's aka Shehzad 2.0's automatic selection and Fakhar's CT century.

Have to blame Arthur more than Sarfraz today - it's clear that Sarfraz has his limitations, but every other guy in Management shouldn't get away riding on Sarfraz's wide back.

Yes , that is a big issue since sarfaraz became captain , his mentality is like a 20 20 captain.
 
Fielding and Fitness are the reasons for Pak losing here.
Just read the commentary thread dropped catches for the Phehlu guy, 4 drops or so.
And shaheen is not able to reach a skier, he looks to be one of the fitter guys in Pak team.

Is there a fitness barometer for Pak team - excluding sarfaraz I mean.

I am real, at least so far in PP. One of the biggest reason for PAK's demise in cricket is speed gun - next time, please keep speed out of discussion with me. Fahim is absolute trash - our Mashrafee at 120K can teach him how to bowl in an International game.

Talat's batting potential is good, need to bat higher - he can't do worse than Mian Malik against pace.
 
Great innings by Dussen. Great find. Pak was in the game for 50 overs. Last 15 in their innings and 35 overs while bowling. Getting bowled out in 46 overs is not acceptable

Excellent performance by these two. Yes they have been lucky at times, but they showed a lot of resilience. Well-deserved win for South Africa - time for them to stamp their authority on the series and win 4-1.

Van der Dussen has the mentality to excel at the top level. Good find for South Africa.

Graeme smith was referring to how animated he is a captain even kohli has calmed down but when he himself never leads from the front it can't have a good effect on the team. Smith was being kind on air, clearly thought he should calm down and was mincing a few words but it was clear what he meant. Didn't like that he came to bat after shadab and talat when the team was in trouble either.
