I've been saying since the first game he played that Shaheen's gonna light up the world cup. Kid is clutch and has so much clarity and skill for such a young age. Best part about him is he looks so humble.

This is why I don’t get the hype over Faheem. Nothing more than a tail ender who trundles. He will get exposed by better batting line ups in faster wickets, which have all come against minnows in his career to date. Most overrated player on PP.

Even in the Asia cup, he troubled the batsmen. Remember the way he bamboozled Rohit with the slower ball only to se the catch dropped. So many drops in his young career so far. Pakistan have thrown him into the deep end and hes showing he can handle the nerves and has the skill to be the lead bowler.

Brilliant from Shaheen. This game should be a catalyst for Mickey, who has been tinkering with the core essence of PAK cricket.

1. Purge the average age of the squad by at least 5 years - if you are good enough, you are old enough. If PAK wins this game, which they should from this position, it's based on Hasan's batting and Shaeen's opening spell. Shadab also contributed with bat and I am sure both he & Hasan has to put bowling efforts as well to win this.
2. PAK is a bowling team - the operation has to be around 10 wickets rather than 50 overs. Aggressive, wicket taking 40 overs at least, if not all 50, and back the bowlers to get wickets instead of containing.
3. Instead of loading squad with posedu all-rounders, pick at least 10 specialist players - good at their core skill.

I don't think anyone can move Malik, Hafeez & Sarfraz before WC, so the team has to carry them and play around, but PAK must do is strengthen bowling so that bowlers can operate between 250-275 range. Next game, I hope they bring Shan & Amir in playing XI ....... and that can't be at expense of Hasan, Shadab or Shaheen.

Hope next time I come back, it would be PAK in driving seat- game is still not won.

Shaheen knows 100 times better than Sarfraz that pitching up will get wickets as he is the one doing it not Sarfraz and he can identify his fault himself, no need of Sarfraz screaming and bossing him.
