ahahahaha jadeja

hindi commentators saying "kuch zyada hi saahas dikha baithe wahan pe" (he displayed a bit too much of courage there)

If your lot were so brave and had such a killer instinct then where were the 5 slips ?

Oh yes. On the boundary.

;)

Yes because 6 wide short balls in the over at 130 kmph is "attacking" bowling. Ha ha.

The thing is you should not have been chasing that score in the first place, against a team you thought were pushovers before the tour. Indians will easily take that effort and the lapse can be easily explained as the inexperience of the young indian team.

Yes we have enjoyed good relations. Then where does India get off telling us they won't tour us unless they select who runs S.A cricket ?

I guarantee than nobody in South Africa really cares who runs our cricket so long as there is cricket. It was bad form by the BCCI and It would be decent of some Indian fans to distance themselves from such behavior and not passively cheer it on. Don't we all want the game played in as fair a manner as possible ? Why did S.A have to play at our worst grounds just to get a game ?

If it happens again I can promise you S.A will just cancel the tour. Then let's see how much the Indian fans will enjoy that. India isnt an opposition that S.a fans get excited about (look at the stands). They've never really competed against us in test cricket.
Is it true that India would only tour if the Test is played in Durban? (lol at BCCI atleast when ECB was in charge they didn't pull this kind of ..)

And who is SA's traditional rival in Tests? I always thought it was AUS n ENG

Ah the old South African rope-a-dope tactic works again. India will be wondering what the hell happened on this tour.

Innings defeat looks like it might be averted

The team are pushovers. They got the best of the conditions. Had the toss been different they would have been blow over like a feather on a windy day.

Regardless despite everything in their favour we almost chased a world record 450 and would have one had time not been a factor. I think we both know who was more relieved to draw that game.

Knowing the BBCI what do you think ? Do you see big crowds there ? Do you think for a moment Newlands wouldn't be crammed is as always ? So it's not a financial decision by CSA. S.A has lost their last 4 tests at Durban...so it's not a tactical decision. So what then ?

Definitely we consider those teams a far more interesting series. I can tell you I'm geniunly nervous and excited about the Aussie tour in February. That's a team I respect after what they've done to England. Going to be a cracker.

Durban has close to 2 million Indians living there who generally support India when they play there. I wonder what is says about their respect for the current lot that almost no one is there ? No star power in this team ? Or has the BCCI annoyed them like the rest ?

Pathetic stuff their from Jadeja

He scored a six just 2 balls ago and goes for glory yet again. Staying in the wicket for 10 overs will help India more than a short cameo

SA should have won this series 2-0.

Credit to the young Indian guns for putting up a fight though.

Yeah looking forward to Johnson vs Steyn and Clarke vs. ABDV. Definitely gonna watch that series.

Ha, the age old trick. Blame the toss.

No, we did not get the best of the conditions. First test morning it was a brave decision by Dhoni to bat first - and it paid off. The second test also, India was going hammer and tongs on day one at 181/1, we had rain which interrupted what would have been a promising day for India, and the way the Saffer bowlers sprinted faster than Usain Bolt to the pavilion is proof for it.

Just saw the Sir Jaddu dismissal. Geez that was a woeful shot. He must've forgot there was another innings after this.

Look at the score sheets please. S.A should win this one and certainly given more time would have won the first one. Why do you seem to think I have to make excuses when India will probably lose a test series 1- 0 which should probably read 1.99-0 .

Is that your idea of a heroic performance ? Are your standards for Indian cricket that low or your adoration for S.A superiority that high that this is a "Honorable" result for you ?

Last time we toured India we drew 1 -1 and we were deeply disappointed.

They need to bring Morkel in to give Zaheer some chin music

Kallis was not out last match.. Inside edged and given lbw..

But one thing's assured, we'll not see any thread about Kohli's dismissal now. He's an Indian right!

And India is against DRS and I have heard indian fans saying mistakes are part of game so no need a thread indeed.

India dominated the first four days of the first test, where did you get 1.99-0? 0-0 would have been a honorable effort from this young Indian team, 1-0 not so much after giving SA a fight at various points of the series.

This batting side is pretty young ( with only two batsmen having more than 20 tests), and you are probably right, nobody expected them to push you so much. Imagine SA without Amla, ABD, Smith etc - that is the kind of transformation that has happened to our batting recently. Without Kohli and Pujara's heroics here this would have been another 2-0 easily. There is a lot of positives from the batting India will take, though they will know they have to perform more as a team and not as individuals.

I said yesterday that ist hour Will b crucial and its proven that way, feeble batting by india

SA will win this match & are true champions.
SA fans are still crying, Top bowlers, batsmen, at home still can't beat young inexperienced team in first match.
You can insult as much as you want, but this young team has earned lots of respect.
And what is this non-sense about playing at easy pitches? your country, your board & blaming BCCI!!!
Unlike SA's pathetic fans, most Indians respect SA team.

Maybe I would feel more inclined to give some credit had they (the batters) not been incredibly over hyped before the tour. I think you re-write history to claim a moral victory after that. Nothing less than all the batters averaging 100 on the tour surely was expected ?

Also I'd give some more praise if the batters hadn't had the easiest pitctes in recent memory to bat on here. I'd keep your expectation in check if they come back to tour here and play on proper S.A wickets. Ones where 250 is a good score not teams getting 400 plus. They perform then and I'll give high praise.

Blame the BCCI. Consider how you would like S.A if we started telling you when, where and how to play when we toured there. You'd be peeved.

Ignore SA fans, You know where they come from.
Last tour to SA it was 1-1, Last visit to Ind it was 1-1
This time a very young team, gave them good fight.
But you can not expect any kind of good words from them, just shows what they know about game.

Indian Young batsman r promising, but im sorry the bowling attack is not
International standard

poor excuse talking about pitches . these are saf grounds & pitches prepared by their own curators . i hope you are now not going to moan about how bcci dictated to your board about how the wickets should be prepared & they lamely followed the instructions ?

Lunch discussion on TenCricket is so interesting, everybody should watch it.

I am not an insider of SA board, to know that!!
As you said Indian tour is not important to you, why wasting your time.

This team doesn't need your approval!!

And where is the proof that BCCI chose the pitches? Did BCCI also pay the curators? Where is the proof? The pitch excuse is very lame.

Nothing about BCCI.Its some arrogance that has gone to the SA fans.Same was shown by your board and they were put in place.Secondly we fulfilled our FTP commitments which said minimum 2 tests and 3 Odis IDK what made Lorgat think that he can dictate to BCCI about how many tests and Odis they should play in SA.Arrogance of CSA nothing else.

Any proof that BCCI chose the venues the pitches etc?Or is it just some excuse by the no.1 team and its bowlers when they had to face a tough fight from a young inexperienced team?

Agreed, but then we never claimed to have one!!!!
And that is going to be our biggest problem.
We need to find some new guys fast, we have very tough tours ahead.

Rahul Dravid makes so much sense, it seems like he has been a commentator forever. Cricket needs more Dravids !

There was hardly any crowd even for these two tests. Whatever be the excuse for that, what is the point in playing more tests?

Oh the irony.

lol at protyeah! goes missing when his team is down and making condescending comments now. easiest pitches he says, but who is responsible for pitches, not BCCI for sure no matter how many conspiracy theories you come up with. and Durban has been like this for quite some time..

SA deserve to win this test as Indian bowling, shot selection has been poor so fairplay to them but you are coming across as a petty man mate.

Liez. I saw him around here when India was on top

Back to the match discussion please :P

Rahane should shield the tail, so there will be hope as long as he is still there. If he can get a 100 here India can save this test.

anyway this test is over, Kallis deserves a winning sendoff and his team has more or less ensured he get it. rest is a formality.

now waiting for NZ tour in Jan.
