Don't know why there are two sets of standards for both the teams. If anything India should be applauded for hanging in there in conditions almost alien to them.
Kallis' wicket is the key here. Get him and it'll probably set the cat amongst pigeons.
VVS run out in the first innings. COuld have been the difference between a 100+ lead or a 2 run lead which we finally got.
But overall yes, rub of the green has been primarily on our side since the 2nd test.
How many times has a team lost the 1st test and come back to win the next two in a 3 match series? The only one I remember is the last time India toured SA, when they won the first one then lost the next to. Which other ones are there?
Pretty much Kallis wicket will decide the whole outcome of the series!
India on top here!
They might be vulnerable to Aus and Eng at home but against everyone else they're nothing short of Aus at home. They're that impregnable certainly for us at least.SA's big weakness in Test cricket (as opposed to ODI where they are just epic chokers) is that they are not as strong at home as they should be. They always give you a chance with their wickets.
Back when we were good (lol) they had the better of us a couple of times in Australia and then lost to us at home.
This has been a really interesting series, credit to both sides. Lead 114 and a big partnership could change things but I tipped India at the start of this game and I think they will win. Not because I like them though.
Gotta salute Kallis though. Despite being in such a pain, he is marching on for his team.
Gambhir got to learn something from him as he misses tests at the drop of a hat.
Cheers.Even for this confirmed India hater, the Indian team has put up an excellent performance in this series. Cannot argue with their number 1 anymore.![]()
I just don't think thats the case. You don't rotate your test players like that especially in a series as big as this series is. And its not as if Vijay is anywhere near Gambhir's class as test opener.I think they are rotating the players a bit. Resting him and giving Murli Vijay a chance. Just saying he is injured in public.
Indian fans are talking bakwas [the lot of you!]
This match has only one result - an Indian victory! Indian batting line up will gobble up 200 in their sleep - its SA who have to work hard now.
why sharma come to bowl
Kallis looks in trouble, real trouble.
He should think of WC first which comes once every 4 years and an event his team has never ever won. While SA has beaten daylights out of Indian team in tests at home.
why sharma come to bowl
score?
A series win in SA or a world cup victory - which one you want more?
All of the sudden you have stopped laughing, you were laughing clear and loudly after the first Test but you have changed your tone quite drastically after the second Test.
bcoz you touch yourself
zak needs a rest and it is almost lunch
Its a tough one but since we've won a WC before and have never won a test series in SA before I'd take the latter happily.
Head and Shoulders contract demands he bowl atleast 3 overs veery session

There are quite a few. Pakistan have done it against Zimbabwe.
South Africa did it against West indies a few years ago.
England have done it in Sri lanka early 2000
Sri lanka did it against pakistan in mid/late 90s was out 1st home series defeat in a long time as well...
there are quite alot!
BTW, where is saffer these days?
Another fair weather fan (troll)?
Just in case India loses 2-3 quick wickets in their 2nd innings see him popping out of his closet.

Yeh chasing 200 on this pitch will be a walk in the park
*facepalm*
If you did that in first innings - you can score the same in second.
As I said before - No 1 tag is not given for fun! Earn it.
I am also not sure why people think SA will get to 250 lead - they are about 1 wicket away from total collapse.
Look at it from SA point of view, they must know that one bad shot could gift the series to India.

Your thought is completely incorrect and also baseless.
Where else would he be from? Timbuktoo? Lucknow?
1.Nope.Difficult to score the same in second innings as pitch is deteriorating.
2. It was not given for fun and we earned it rightfully.
