dont waste your time on him buddy, some people are simply biased and would say sh*t even after a good performance

Sri lanka will be out for around 400 now, sri lanka's tail now exposed. Good pull back by India, Sri Lanka seemed sure for a 500 score at one point.

Inshant Sharma is a good bowler, but far too unreliable. He's good for a few overs, and distinctly average for the rest. While he did bowl a good spell and got vital wickets, he gave away far too many runs on day 1. He's got plenty of time though to turn into a good bowler, he's only 21.

Errr, he has been faster than at least two real "phaast" bowlers who bowled recently in a test in England in perfect bowling conditions :akhtar

Fastest ball of the match by Gul was 92.1mph = 148.4kph
Fastest ball by Aamer 90.1mph=145kph
Fastest by ishant in this match 87mph =140.2kph

And they were bowling slow because of swinging conditions ......

Most overrated spell of bowling in this millennium, anyone?


Come on, it was not THAT special. There was a marked improvement from the first day, because that was truly rubbish, but I honestly didn't find anything extraordinary about this spell of bowling. It was good, but definitely not great/amazing
 
^ It was a good spell and ball was doing a bit but by no means it was an extra ordinary one still his figures are quite bad 3/117 .....

Sharma to Mathews, OUT, Ishant nips out one more! Mathews is gone, after exhibiting great restraint in the last couple of overs, this time he hangs his bat at one outside off. It flies off the outside edge to the right of VVS Laxman at second slip, who tumbled to his right and takes a smart catch. Ishant! What a spell! Respect!

you guys sound as bad as ind-pak fans on a youtube comment section. the guy bowled pretty well today and nothing more to it. he is occasionally capable of some good spells but he is far too inconsistent as his average of near 36 shows. yes he is overhyped but give credit when credit is due instead of being so petty.

I think whats irritating me more than anything right now is Cricinfo riding on Inshant's (u know what)...I dont care how he bowled because he is still crap and i feel bad for the lankans who gave their wickets to him :))

No one is saying he didnt bowl well but spell was not an extra ordinary one that would run through a side but credit to ishant he did bowl well today but on first day he was really bad .........

they tend to exaggerate and hype up everyone and everything these days. my point was that he bowled a decent spell and it didn't warrant this whole nitpicking and comparisons with pakistani bowlers. just seemed to be in poor taste. sometimes people (me included) go too far and it becomes quite mean spirited.

I don't think anyone is denying he has bowled well today, but at the end of the day, his economy rate in this match is over 5.00, and that itself is quite a horrendous figure. The cricinfo commentary team is saying stuff like

because he got a wicket without sharma, dhoni is one of te best captain the world, if not the best, this guy has changed the fortunes of indian cricket on his own
 
C'mon, guys, give credit where it's due. You guys rightly bashed Ishant yesterday. But today he bowled well, and deserves some praise, although the guys on Cricinfo are going way overboard. Then again, it's not everyday you'll see an Indian fast bowler bowling well. :inzi

But what you guys dont see or pretend to ignore is that cricinfo does the same for almost any match including Bangladesh vs Ireland ones. Remember the commentary during Afridi's first innings in the last test? They use hyperbole most of the time to keep readers interested. But the crying starts by some Pak fans like you only when India is mentioned which is sad to see

And only Pak bowlers are supposed to bowl 'amazing' spells I guess and anyone else doing it even on the flatest of wickets must be ordinary
 
Is the tail batting good or is the bowling bad . Seriously , this is looking bad against the No.1 test team .
 
And now Malinga gets his first ever first class 50. Even uglier than Herath's. Funny thing is that it isn't even a flat batting trick. Its turning square for Ojha, St.Harbi and Sehwag. The kind of pitch India prepare when they're down in a series.

Malinga has been improving his batting ever since he hit that six against us in the Asia Cup. :afridi

I think even our bowlers (who struggle so bad against the tail) wouldn't have let these two get to 30.

HMRKB Herath 80* (92b 10x4 1x6) ....going for 100 ...anybody can make 100 agaianst us ...so mainstream batters all over the world don't be happy u have made centuries against us....;-)
 
now India need to do as much batting practice as they can do.....coz this going to be a tame draw.....no need to giving batting back to Slankans ...but for this we need to take remaining 2 wkts LOlz....:)
 
During Tea break Dhoni called to his Pakistani counter part Salman Butt for taking advice on how to take tailenders wicket.... hahaha....:))
