baat ju aisi kertey hain yaar, her cheez mein keera nikalin gaye, pehley fawad shud be in the side.

jab side mein aa gaya, he shudnt open

jab lower middle order mein above afridi and razzaq send kiya, why is he batting so down in the order.

enough of this fawad, he is in the side and he is batting whatelse they want now?

If he gets out LBW to some swing then they would hve said tht YK should have known this and should not allowed alam to face the ball till its swinging.

I am seriously fed up of this.

It requires a MAJOR repairing service which in Pakistan is near impossible!
 
Fawad making it look easy, compared to the rest who make the pitch look a mine field

The only problem is that everyone from Yousuf to Nasir Jamshed cannot play swing. Had this been a flat pitch...Pak would be about 120-2 by now, with Malik and Younus scoring at hundred strike rates, and customarily our openers gone to poor shots.
 
they play on flat, dead tracks at home. that's where the problem lie. make seaming tracks at home! it's the only way the players will adapt.

Mathews to Fawad Alam, 2 runs, Close call for Fawad! He chips it in the air just wide of Samaraweera's reach at short midwicket, tough chance though

Agreed or perhaps drop Malik for Nazir and have two specialist openers. Something like this...

I'd play the above XI in taht order for the last 3 games regardless of what happens, they cant do any worse than the seniors

I just hope the conditions are as difficult for Sri Lanka when they come out to bat

I think this same team should be persisted with for the whole series..... they will fail but hey atleast we got hope

That's the thing I don't get, we struggle against seam, swing and bouncy wickets. Why can't pcb try to fix this problem? Make bouncy, swing wickets in Pakistan let our batsman keep playing on it eventually they will get good. No point in playing on flat dead tracks, we also kill IRS bowlers on flat wickets too.
 
Afridi comes in, i hope he can last for more than 10 overs. maybe younis should just tell him to play his natural game now, we need some runs.
 
Right might as well try to smash it as the current tactics (whatever they are) arent working

Abfridi and Abdul Razzaq should just attack. Rather see them all out for 120 than a painstaking 150
 
Alam gone, that was coming given Thushara being a left armer and the whole angle thing and what a poor shot, looks like a mohammed Amer shot....Alam!!!
 
Afridi ney bhi aaj 10 sey kam he bananey hain, not jinxing just a feeling.
 
Oh dear. The problem is that the experienced players are out of form and the inexperienced players are, well, inexperienced. It was probably too much to ask them to come in and fix everything for Pakistan. Pakistan need to end this tour quickly, go home, and learn to bat.
 
Murali on, lovely, these Sri lankan have every trick in the book. destroy top order with swing. Bring in Murali to finish the job.

I am a big fan of :afridi: but aakhri umeed ki kiran, Pakistan Cricket epr waqai bura time aa gaya hai.
 
Afridi cant stick around, he doesnt have it him, needs to die trying.
 
We are 2 years away from world cup and still have no clue what we are doing. For god sake play proper openers not make shift openers and please stick up to seniors. If they don't preform kill them out simple as that.

I was really impressed with Ahmed Shezad, he was confident, had a good technique, wants to stay at the wicket and score runs. He is more of test and odi player than 2020. I would play with Nasir Jamshed and Ahmed Shezad as openers for both test and odi.
 
Younus desperate to get Pakistan to a defendbable score. I think he really has it in for Yousuf and Misbah.....this is the biggest batting effort from him in the whole tour, barring that 82.

Ahmed Shezad did appear to have the ability to open the batting, he should have been here.
 
Keep your fingers crossed that our batsmen(low/tail end) score enough runs to give our bowlers something to bowel at.
 
Does anyone remember aamir sohail against Eng in first ODI 96?YK reminds me so much of that innings by sohail but Saeed played a gem that day and we finished with a decent total.
 
Younis gone as well, very poor shot.
Should have learnt from Misbah's dismissal against Murali in 1st ODI.
 
A pain staking innings of 23 off 73 balls by YK coming an end with a soft dismissal - Good knock skipper!

The Pakistani tend to take the performance of player in another form of the game as a reason why they shiuld not be present in a different form of the game.

Its obvious that Shehzads T20 failiure has pushed him out of contention of the ODI side. See what i mean? This is completely wrong, Odis are completely different ball game.

He really should've been playing SL series. He had the technique (which I haven't seen recent openers have), confident and the hunger to score runs. When will we learn makeshift openers dont work they are only part time not long solution. Plus he was one of the better batsmen in the odi series against Aus.
 
Younis was trying very hard though, unlike the rest. Only a miracle can win Pakistan the match from here on
 
Will do well to score 150 and, even if they do, it wont be nearly enogh because Sri Lanka know how to bat.

On a broader scale I think it is too early to be announcing a 5-0 defeat but I honeslty cant see how they are going to win a match.
 
Afridi and Razzaq need to remember that game vs Zimbabwe where they both went nuts

he was never a T20 player, they should have taken Nasir Jamshed for those. Intikhab needs to be sacked.

Replace Malik for M.Yousuf for next ODI.....

For the Future of Pakistani Cricket we need to develop some of these Srilankan pitches in Pakistan.
