yeah all these people blaming the batsman conveniently forget that dilshan was given out caught behind, when he hadnt even touched the ball at all. So harper is a horrendous umpire...yes, but SL did get a shocker too to one of their key batsman.

Imagine 6 lbws in one innings given by aleem dar in next test in ashes against aussies......couple of them shud be what shud be called as hard done and cpl definately against aussies

we have not lost from australia. We are better team then srilanka on paper but y we cannot perform to even test standard??

But they have Muralitharan one of the greatest spinners of all time, unfortunately as well as Ajmall has bowled we don't currently have anyone that can match up to him.

Murali has not played in any of these two test matches.....

actually i want bangala to beat these scabs :))
 
I would have preferred Pak to face Murali than Herath. Murali is much the better bowler, but Pak struggle big time against left arm spin for some odd reason.

You just need to be any ordinary left arm slow bowler to trouble the Pak batsmen.

Even Katich would trouble our batsmen.

Nope they will not return as long as their demands are not met..... though

a bit sad im supporting them 100 percent for taking a stand :14:

now let us discuss how much more overs will be required to finish the match.....no iffs and buts, just guess. i guess it wolud take 18 more overs to finish match
 
give Malik the ball...lets see if he can engineer a collapse!! or maybe a chapal will help!!
 
8 wickets to go now and 17.2 overs(i am saying beacuse after 19.3 overs i guessed that 18 more overs will finish this game off)
 
Abdur Rauf Should be given the new ball

With the dangerous looking spell he is bowling now, he can dispatch the opening of Sri Lanka if given the new ball. Whats wrong in trying? He might be more successful than Gul with the new ball. :13:

Plus Gul can come later on and be more effective with the older ball. As we all know.

Pakistan is losing all its record for these crap cricketers.For example:first loss in srilankan soil.
It started with the series loss to India at home.Last 5 years Pakistan cricket has gone down the drain.
 
New ball opening combination

Abdur Rauf Should open the bowling. Gul can be used more effectively later on. As we saw in the first innings, he is more of a old bowl bowler than a new ball.

I think Abdur Rauf is capable of swinging the new ball and could trouble the batsmen.
 
I can understand Gul opening the bowling today but I don't understand why Younis brought him back for a second spell before he let Rauf bowl.

uhhhhhhhhhhh...............I'm pretty sad to see the Lanka winning their first test series against Pakistan...............but alas Records are Meant to be broken afterall :) , I hope we whitewash them in the ODIs . I WANT TO SEE SANGA CRY!.

He didn't even bowl Malik in Galle or use any of those two in the first innings. i think he might be missing a trick here, bowling himself ahead of those two. he had success in galle because of the wickets, but here, he had little or no support and should've given the spinners the ball

I think because he got Sangakarra out in the first innings, but not really sure. he should've gotten Rauf on earlier since Gul was so expensive

For Pakistan - well its back to the den to lick their wounds.
 
Sri lanka 142/2 ,I can't believe we are going to lose two tests in a row especially when in each case we had recovered to win them only for yousaf, Misbah, Malik and Akmal to lose it pathetically.

This loss is more hurting than the first test match loss.

I want misbah and malik out for next test.
 
Defeat is a lot more easy to take when you havent watched a single ball of action in the 2 test matches!!

Thank god for The Ashes :)

You never know...its still a bit of an 'out there' sort of theory...but the way some of these middle order batsmen have performed in 3 innings straight now, it seems they are basically refusing to bat or something...so you never know.
 
Honestly i feel any moment i might shed a tear, i could'nt have imagined in my wildest dreams for pakistan to lose this test after seen the score 285/1, our bowlers have bowled their heart out in both tests to bowl out lankans under 300 in the previous three innings, what more should they do ???

Sri lanka has won by 7 wickets ! Congrats to lankans as they have beaten us first time on their home soil. They have played really well but with all due respect our middle order batsmen Have gifted them the wins.
 
pakistan's batting is not good enough for test cricket to challenge the top 3 sides in the world atleast ..its not about gifting wickets ..they are not good enough..third series lost in a row

3 collapses in 3 consecutive innings............. It's really hard to believe!
I don't think Pak was ever so consistent about collapses before
 
OMG how did this happen? I went to bed last night and you guys were at 1/200 odd with a 100 run lead and 9 wickets in hand. What happened?
