Oooh, four more. Slightly upish but well away from the fielders.

Trott motoring here! lovely shot through midwicket!

Aussies can't seem to bowl at one side of the wicket to Trott.

poor bowling.

Ponting hinted he would like tait, but tait said nop, cant overwork myself in tests

Bollinger's really overdone it with the sunscreen :umarakmal

England have just faced Asif and Amir for four tests in English conditions. They are super prepared and this bowling must be fairly easy for them to play on these Australian wickets.

Tait isn't good enough for tests anyway. He's very good for limited overs but he can be played out in tests because he will bowl bad balls.

Good practice for the Ashes but you can never rule out a collapse with England, at any time.

Poor ball by Watson, nice placement but poor timing brings Cook a couple.

1/72. England racing along.

Australia have been very poor after not having the best fortune in the first 1/2 hour. Poor temperament shown by their bowlers, losing their patience.

have never seen Aussies being so toothless...

c'mon mates pull it together or else!!!!!

Cook looks unmovable. I think Trott has had some chances that Australia missed but you make your own luck. Both look good for another big partnership.

Trott is a joke. Stands there cross legged until the bowler reaches his mark then starts scratching around making him wait. :)))

Didn't know Trott claimed this. :)

Jonathan Trott is not sure exactly how distantly related he is to Albert Trott — it is his grandfather who claims the connection — but those who look for omens will hope that when Trott Jr plays his first Test, he can be as effective as his great-great-whatever.

Albert Trott is the only man to have hit a six over the pavilion at Lord’s, the ball deflecting off a chimney when he straight-drove a ball from Monty Noble, the Australia all-rounder, when playing for MCC in 1899.

Your still a Saffer Jon.

Steady over by Siddle. Australia need to build some pressure by halting the run flow.

Watson was bowling with much better control in England V Pak. He's been well wide today.

Its ok at the moment because Ponting has now adjusted the off side field. Before, it was very dangerous.

Ponting is super chillaxed. Heart rate is staying under 120.

Punter's already walked/run 1.6 miles in the first session. :)))
