The Wrestling Discussion Thread

WWE has been bland since 2015 (with occasional entertaining moments).
It definitely started peaking after COVID era, and guys like Randy, Roman and Drew had a big hand to play in that. So it’s sad to see them being mistreated now.

I see.

I still think this period is not as enjoyable as Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression Era, and Reality Era.

Something feels missing. Maybe social media has ruined the natural pro-wrestling experience.

COVID era was creatively very good honestly with the likes of Drew, Randy, Roman, Bray, Edge, KO, AJ, Bryan, Hurt Business all doing pretty well and then there were cinematic matches like Cena Bray, Taker AJ, MITB although that Braun Bray match was atrocious.

@mominsaigol

yes WWE mainly HHH has destroyed Cena's last run, he shouldn't have been jobbing to Brock. Should have had last matches against Seth & Roman, I read somewhere his last match is against Dom Mysterio. WWE has damaged his farewell. Anyways glad he & Styles put out those finishers, especially remembering the late Bray Wyatt who was a creative genius.

Because no one wanted to See Heel Cena in 2025 on his retirement tour. They wanted to see Cena as a heel in 2012 but that never went through.

Other then the shock factor theirs no real rhyme or reason for it to happen.

This is his final year? So why aren't you

A) letting him win the 17th title cleanly.

B) Having him beat Randy Orton Cleanly

C) Wasting 2 months of his retirement tour on R truth and Logan Paul 🤣🤣. Like bruh have him face actual rivals like Miz and Roman Reigns. Miz would make far more sense then Logan Paul lol.

D) Having him get squashed by Brock. The 2014 summerslam makes sense, as Cena was becoming a part timer and Brock was obviously the biggest star. Why in 2025?

I don't even mind cena losing to Brock since wwe wants to establish brock as a monster heel, but don't squash him this badly?

The fact that Cena vs Aj Styles wasn't even on the cards and cena was told straight up that he aint facing Aj styles was stupid?

Cena finally put his foot down and demanded it. My guess he is probs refused to come to Perth if wwe didn't agree for an aj styles match.

I get that people were getting sick of super cena, but this is too much. Dude didnt win a single singles match for nearly 5 years and when he finally won, it was unclean.

Randy, Cm Punk, Cody all unclean matches.

Cena's only clean victories on his retirement run are Styles and Logan Paul 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. They didnt even give him a clean win over R truth 🤣🤣🤣.

yeah Cena should have turned heel in 2011-12 if not for that old freak Vince. You are right a match against Miz should have taken place instead of Truth/Logan Paul. WWE even missed out on a program between Cena & Roman/ Cena & Rollins considering this was his last run.

Brock shouldn't have squashed Cena as Brock is nearly 48-49 & he won't be there for long. It should have been a newcomer like Bron or somebody like Gunther.

Bad decision by HHH & creatives, hope Cena doesn't ever come back to shi* company once his dates are over.

Take notes you greedy, talentless little goblin. Screwing people over just to make your mediocre ass relevant in the main event by sabotaging careers back then, just like you sabotage careers today at the helm.

There’s a reason Cena will always stand head and shoulders above you in pro wrestling. Can never imagine your boring ass doing a gesture like this. You will just seethe in the corner and run to your father in law and whisper your grievings to him instead.

One of the GOATs for a reason.

The more I think about the Rollins angle last week, the more I feel like this was something that was not in their plans. For me, everything was leading towards a WarGames match between Roman, Usos, Punk, LA vs. Seth, Bron & Bron, new fourth member (Austin Theory or Ethan Page) and Lesnar.

Lesnar being the fifth man would have been a good surprise and would have made sense considering the fact that Lesnar and Heyman were shown interacting backstage at WrestlePalooza and getting chummy. Heyman even did his ring introduction.

Not sure what they will do now. This is why it's stupid to name the PPV Survivor Series: WarGames. Unnecessarily booking yourself into a corner.

I just hope the WarGames match this year isn't Solo's jobber Bloodline vs. the Bray Wyatt tribute club.

It's a good thing if they got thrown off their plans due to an injury cause their plans have been sucking the air out of every building they go to.

MFT vs Wyatt sicks is so weird considering both are heels. Reminding me of Trips vs Kurt at Rumble 2001 when the loudest pop was of Austin interference.
