Also - for the Final Four - should we make it a case of you either get all the points or none of the points? Or should we make it a case of 1 point for each of the final four predicted accurately? We can make it 1 point for each of the final 4 predicted correctly with a maximum of 3 points available.

Reason I am suggesting this is that at the moment we have a lot of posters with very similar predictions since there are so few matches. So to give if we award 1 point/correct prediction of Final 4 that will give us some more diversity - what do you guys think?

Do 1 point for predicting all correctly, it makes it a bit more challenging to :) Good idea Talha. There must be an undisputed champion.

However, for that very reason since HHH isn't an active wrestler and WWE love throwing curve balls I thought I'd leave HHH in there.

As for the final four - I don't wanna change the number of point allocations at this stage, however, to allow for more diversity I'll award 1 point for every final four predicted correctly with a maximum of 3 points available :)

Big Shows first WWF championship win, it was a triple threat match which also featured the rock and HHH. Good God just look Big Show move! a 500lb super heavyweight that was moving and jumping around like a middle weight :)) there will never be someone that huge to pull of the stuff he did lmao and man it was such an emotional win for him, his dad had died that week and although he only went over because Austin was injured the WWF gave him his moment and really put over his win. His first reign lasted 50 days but in those days 50 days is pretty long considering how often the title would change hands.

Big Show crying even in those days :)) it meant so much to him, childhood dreams came true

Bah gawd Aries is here. Hunters signing of talent has been outstanding. Dammit Vince just roll over and retired already. Hunter having control over the main roster is best for business. He's more in tune with the fans than vince is.

Damn right :)) he actually got him to sign officially lol never thought I'd see that, I remember Joe being in two minds for a long a while, even when he was working NXT shows it was as an independent contractor but Hunter got him to sign an extended deal. For those that don't know Aries is one of the most decorated ROH wrestlers of all time and as an individual performer he is very good on the mic and in the ring, I'd go as far as saying he could be the one to fill the void left by Punk; the two are quiet similar in many ways when it comes to their skilset. At this rate Dixie will probs lose EC3 to :))) that would be an epic troll from the WWE. Still no sighting of BAE Adil, BAE as in KURT ALPHA ANGLE! man all these signings, it's beyond me why Kurt has not been considered, he could really boost network subscriptions and do great business for the WWE. I know kurt has had his issues but he has been clean for a year or two now, also know that he's not in the best condition and I guess it's unlikely the WWE medical team would clear him to wrestle but there are so many other roles and should they decide to have him wrestle they could manage his work load and have him perform 2-3 highp rofile matches a year. Vinny is either being petty about how Kurt Left or HHH has some issue with him

Am not sure but when he last approached them HHH offered him a full time deal the sort that requires you to be on the road 300+days a year, no way could Kurt have accepted that given the state of his body; I think it was WWE's way of telling him to sod off

Recently, he was offered a deal in NXT either as a wrestler or backstage trainer dude or something but he declined. He wants the main roster.

May have missed, looking online can't find any reports saying that he was offered a deal to become an nxt trainer; there's one report which suggests that once he retires from wrestling itself he could be offered a deal. Either way they could still have offered him a deal along those lines instead of that full time one but they didn't, I don't think health concerns are the main problem from WWE's end, Vince is being really petty and HHH could still be mad because Kurt took stephanie to space mountain all those years ago

It's a shame TNA was mismanaged so badly. A strong TNA would have made Vince raise his game. But Dixie made the crucial mistake of getting Hogan, Nash and their cronies take over. CM Punk once wrestled in TNA too.

I don't know who their booker is right now but I read that EC III won a tournament for the world title after it was vacated from Matt hardy. Hardy then won the title in a couple of days. So I wonder what was the point of the interminable tourney. Worse booking than WWE.

PS : I was watching some old tapes and came across a certain gimmick : The artist formerly known as Goldust. :O

Golddust gimmick was ahead of its time, he was probably one of the first characters which personified the attitude era before it was in full swing. His promos were brilliant and made a great duo with his wife.

No one in the USA is ever going to compete with the WWE unless we have another ted turner situation. However TNA had a really good thing going by providing us with a unique alternative for a long time, their issues are a lot more deep rooted then bischoff etc being signed; Dixie simply is out of depth on every level, bringing in certain stars can elevate a business to. It's a shame because I really enjoyed TNA in those days.

Have you heard of Lucha Underground? you'll enjoy their product, now that's a genuine alternative to the WWE. It can be hard to find the episodes to the entire season unless you torrent it but watch the season finale which are the last two episodes. Its like an extended pro-wrestling movie :)) series revolves around spiritualism, aztec warriors, demons, dragons and emphasising on the importance of their Lucha ethos. They managed to sign Rey Mysterio for season two

Also, Gable and Jordon have been given a new name "American Aplha" :facepalm: what's the need for the American bit, why does every free-style wrestler be given that name. It would have been better if they gave them something unique. Stop trying to throw Kurt Angles gimmick on guys with a similar background to him :facepalm: let gable and jordon form their own identity
 
An old post of mine from this thread:

Flair had the most gruelling schedule during his peak and it was 10x more intense then what the guys have to deal with today and Ric was super over all over the states he popularized wrestling like never before his time. He used to wrestle hour-long matches every single day and twice on Sundays. In contrast, the usual WWE wrestling match today runs about 15 minutes long with a monthly pay-per-view match going maybe 30 minutes if it’s the main-event. Flair would wrestle an hour each night in a different city, then twice on Sunday. That’s eight hours of wrestling in a week, every single week no break. That's what you called THE MAN and a legit World Champion.

well its not bad because they are pro wrestlers and they have represented USA before. maybe that's a hint of Kurt coming back and forming a faction with them

Even then they are too good to be in the shadow of Kurt Angle, I don't like the name and that's what I mean! it's been done to death the whole american thing why not let them create their own identity and they really are a breath of fresh air no need to call them american alpha.

Reigns is going to ultimately triumph because that's how they are going to put over their chosen one but it's how we get there which will make the journey interesting, the rumble itself is the most unpredictable and intriguing in years; the WWE title is on the line to which is refreshing, the last rumble which involved the WWE title was the greatest of all time :akhtar and the greatest pro-wrestler of all time won it, best rumble mark out moment ever; flair going over the entire WWF

True, even the people who no longer tune in watch that PPV :)) I really enjoy it to, going to order loads of food to get me through the night from 1am to 3am. Everyone apart from Lord [MENTION=132954]Aman[/MENTION] apparently the esteemed [MENTION=132954]Aman[/MENTION] won't be watching the PPV this year

The Royal Rumble match has been the most difficult to predict for any match in years for me, I can see them going in a number of directions. But am going with a little bit of a gamble (but I justify it's the correct outcome in terms of booking and WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN) though I expect HHH/Lesnar to be victorious. I believe Bryan returns here but if he does, surely it can only be to win unless they have something big planned to prevent the fans from crapping all over the outcome.

shut up, don't post videos of AJ in a promotion that had become a shadow of its former self. TNA doesn't exist to me and am glad AJ Styles was baptised again in NJPW and flourished as the star he deserved to be all along.

AJ was voted the best in the world by the PWI that year, first and only TNA wrestler to get that honour. PWI is the most prestigious wrestling mag in the world

Yea if we could get into Time Pass we would get a lot more interest man because to be honest I am really disappointed with the turn out we have had for this competition. I was hoping that we would hit at least 15-20 posters.

No idea:)) Used to watch before when there were quality wrestlers like HBK, Triple H, Edge etc. But i just don't find it as entertaining now.

I'm in that category myself these days. Barely watch wrestling but I never miss the Rumble or Mania. But the Royal Rumble match is the greatest event in WWE history. Cannot miss it no matter what :waqar
