It sucks because it means some guys can't be used. This is the ideal time for a brand split tbh. Have two titles again, otherwise you'll never be able to bring in guys like Balor, Hideo, Nakamura, Aries, Joe etc. from NXT.

I don't think there is going to be a 1-on-1 man at WM. If you guys noticed, HHH was pretty mediocre in terms of wrestling which was probably deliberate. The only move he hit right was that hackneyed knee to the face. He failed to land a single pedigree. Reigns was actually dominating him justifiably. So, a 1-on-1 match would hurt not only Reigns' credibility but also it could turn out to be a squash turning the crowd even more against Reigns.

They will have another guy in the World title match. Hopefully, it will be Ambrose or Lesnar or even Bryan and not Sheamus.

I would have loved my original fantasy storyline in that HHH's music hits but he is in a suit. He introduces Daniel Bryan as the 30th entrant who ends up winning and then shaking hands with The Game.

They might make it a no holds barred match so Hunter doesn't have to rely on traditional wrestling. And reigns always delivers in them type of matches. If they make it a long physically Intense battle where both men smash the hell out of each other that would be a good watch IMO. Without a gimmick idk how good the match would be.

Yeah exactly the smarks might hate him and boo him but WWE are determined to push Roman as the new face of the company. And I can bet you eventually they will incorporate his mixed reactions into his character. And as you said the casuals love him he has the physique the look that make him appealing to a lot of women as well. A lot of women and kids love Roman like Cena. I have lil nephews who are Roman superfans and buy all the merch as long as he's popular amongst the kids he will carry on getting a push. Cena has earned the IWCS respect for improving in the ring and while his gimmick is stale his in ring work is top notch and he has proven he can hang with the ATGs of the business. Time will tell if reigns can up his game. Reigns also is suffering from the fact that in terms of in ring talent WWE probably has its best ever roster in terms of workers who can go and put on clinics and 4 or 5 star matches regularly. Seeing those guys and then seeing Reigns with his Superman Punch and Spear aka 5 moves of doom being pushed to the moon just leaves a bad taste for the smarks or the IWC.

Once Punk gets his butt whipped in the UFC. I hope that WWE can come to a deal with him. I know he was scathing in his podcast but so many guys have burnt bridges with vince and ended up coming back. If you make money for vince he will put all the aside and welcome you back. And surely the prospect of working with all these guys in the biggest show in town would be an interesting prospect for Punk.

You're right back in the day it wouldn't have mattered so much but in this era the bar is quiet high when it comes to in-ring work but Reigns has improved significantly over the past 12 months and he can do more moves but they limit that and the bumps he takes for safety reasons; i can see Reigns improving in the ring and his selling is already 10x better then Cena. He's going to get pushed so long the kids and women support him.

One of my favourite wrestlers is the world champion again and I'm absolutely delighted. HHH's first world title reign in 7 years. It was the right decision to have him win the title. I'm eagerly looking forward to RAW.

Also delighted to see AJ Styles make his debut. Seeing him brought back the good old memories of TNA when it was good. I just hope that he stays on the main roster and isn't sent to NXT. The phenomenal one deserves to be in the main event scene alongside Samoa "Joe is gonna kill you" Joe on the main roster.

Roman's such a hack. Absolute garbage on the mic and in the ring. I love the 30 min rest break they gave this dude.

Look at Owens. Dude was in a brutal match and still worked like a champ.

Ok that was by far one of the best Rumble matches I've seen. It was a high quality build up and the people involved were no mugs either. Some serious wrestlers, and they were missing Cena, Orton and Punk but still the quality of the match was top notch.

See the difference, you would have had people like Kofi kingston, Del Rio, Ziggler, Lord Tensie, Ryback and other bland characters just dominating the middle part of the rumble period. You would have special appearances from Michael Cole and Booker T. However yesterday was a completely different spectacle.

at one point you had Reigns, Jericho, Styles, Kane, Big Show, Goldust dominating the middle period. The Brock Lesnar Stint was just epic, absolutely tore the house down with that performance. Then, we saw the return of the cerebral assassin and I think it's absolutely right to have him won the belt. It's about time these bigger names carried The company for a while. Ideally I would like to see a Rollins V HHH match at wrestlemania, but the Reigns Idea isn't so bad either.

Brock Lesnar V the Entire Wyatt Family. That sounds great as well lol

No one speaks better than John Cena on the mic but Roman doesn't need to speak even when his superman punch speaks lounder than any words.

Besides that KO is good but he couldn't even stand against Dean Ambrose...and let's see how he performs after the emergence of AJ styles and Sami Zayn.

Another thing, Rman Reigns has made me realize people don't really hate Cena that much and Cena is an absolute genius in dealing with the hatred all these years. Reigns, the beast that he is already is looking weak hearted dealing withunhappy fans. Cena's been dealing with them for a decade and still with a massive smile on his face going strong night after night. Mucxh respect to Cena's relentless hardwork and positivity. How does he keep doing it, its amazing.

It's not that simple, it takes a great deal to be THE MAN; you can put the belt on someone it doesn't matter how good they are, it's how they respond to the push and life style of being the man. Everyones schedule is intense as it is, but as the top guy you have to go the extra mile and do so many other things beyond the squared circle. Cena has been getting shtick from around 2006 but he never broke once even in his initial years, his mental strength, resilience, work ethic and determination is something to be hold. IWC hate the gimmick but respect him deep down, look at how he has evolved as an in-ring performer over the years; 5 moves of doom and you cant wrestle chants to a versatile move set and stellar performances in high profile matches. I agree with FC, Roman looks like he's going to cry already

On a serious note, according to me, smarks should stand for self-marks. They are marks for their own opinion. Once they decide to hate on anyone, they don't budge from their opinion one bit. They buy into their own intellectual superiority so much that they cannot enjoy the product even a bit. Roman is a very good wrestler. He even got a good last man standing match with The Big Show at Extreme Rules. I kinda agree when you say he is not fit to be the face of the company but I do not agree with you when you say he just has two-three moves in his arsenal.

Top guys limit their move-set and the bumps they take for longevity, not saying Roman is on the level of a Cesaro but he is solid as a package and has improved; what is his biggest strength for me is SELLING its the bread and butter of the business and makes up for the limited moveset which is decent for now and I expect him to improve, will he reach the level of a Cena? that remains to be seen.

However, I sympathise with the smarks because they have a guy who in their eyes isn't as good as their favourites in the ring and that is true, what makes it worse for them is how Cena's gimmick and booking are being pasted to Reigns. Smarks are overly fickle but there is truth in what they say, Reigns is solid for me and you but is he really performing at the level required to be a main-eventer in this day and age? I wouldn't say so, it's just a matter of WWE having made an investment in him and he's in a better place now then he was last year and they'll hope for that to continue. Cena started out around about the same level but as the years went by he began to shut up his critics with stellar performances in the ring

We need to look at the root of why these smarks boo Reigns, lets not forget where it all started; the farce that was the RR 2014, creative orchestrated this hostile attitude towards Reigns and his booking has not helped him one bit. When Reigns is constantly outperformed by other members of the Roster it also doesn't sill well with smarks that he's being shoved down their throats when there are better alternatives. Smarks are fickle but it is creative that is to blame for 99% of the problems regarding Reigns push. The saving grace will be for him on a creative level will be to turn heel but they've invested too much in him as a face and although the goofy crap has been limited Reigns is a pretty generic character, he's also one dimensional when it comes to his violence/aggression. The PG product also doesn't help him.

I shudder to think what would have happened to The Ultimate Warrior or Hogan in today's snarky wrestling world. Warrior had an admittedly lame moveset. He would have been eaten alive by the smarks.

I have no idea, I've not watched that Rumble in a long time; if Austin did that does it make it acceptable for Reigns to do something similar? (mind you Austins work-rate and intensity were something to behold) it's not about attitude era or not, Austin could go in the ring. Now the AE era didn't demand the quality of wrestling which is required today but you still needed to be able to go in the ring, even in the golden era that was the case despite the larger then life characters.

Warrior had incredible matches against Hogan and Savage at Wrestlemania, he also made up for his limitations in other ways; e.g his intensity and charismatic aura. Hogan was super over in his match against The Rock in the most smarky country in the world, Canada.

You see we need to look at wrestlers as a package, Hogan and Warrior all these guys may not have been ring technicians but they were great characters who actually turned it on in their high profile defences. When you look at Roman as a package, is he a unique character at the moment? I wouldn't say so, many view him as a Cena 2.0 now is this smarks fault or creatives? Romans in-ring work is improving but is it at the level it needs to be for a main-eventer? no, what Reigns does have going for him though is a marketable look which is super over with the kids and women; that's what ultimately drives the business even if you cut half decent promos with a flat character, so long the machine are behind him he will flourish. He'll get over with the smarks once his character is compelling and he'll get respect once his in ring work is at the level it needs to be and fans don't look at him as someone who shouldn't be in the spot he is when there are guys who are better
 
Here are some facts:

Reigns has a great Look

Reigns in-ring skills are not where they need to be for a main-eventer

Reigns is poor on the microphone

Reigns has a flat character

Reigns is booked like Cena except John was able to survive given his charisma and mic ability during his initial push despite the fact that the in ring skills were not were they needed to be but eventually he got better and better

Creative doesn't do Reigns no favours either when it comes to his booking or character development

[MENTION=95766]leatherface58[/MENTION] How can smarks be responsible for all the above? perhaps it's just creatives fault and Roman ought to be accountable for his performances but like I said so long as the machine push him he will draw because of his look in the current product
