Man that’s so hard to watch… knowing how hard he worked.. but that’s not it.
Many people work hard but still don’t end up being the right product that gets the right reaction from the crowd like he did. He got himself over and if this was Vince era he would’ve at least been in a way better position rn
Knowing you did everything right. Made a connection with the audience that 99% of pro wrestlers won’t at this level… but had the misfortune of your career peak colliding with the main pioneer of the business stepping aside so his doofus son in law can step in and bury you due to age or whatever.
Feel like those thoughts are what flashed before Knight’s eyes when kutta told him that fumbduck finish.

Yeah Rock has become very corporate and at times shady in the last 2 decades, but he knows the business in a way that nose never could. You see him and you actually see 30+ years of wrestling knowledge. Same with Cena.
Heck, same with every other star who even debuted late 2000s and early 2010s lol. Drew, Cody and Roman all better understand pro wrestling and what’s a good storyline and how to book etc better that kutta.
Never seen someone so awful at something reach the helm at that very thing. Is this why his last name is Helmsley in kayfabe

This idiot really meant what he said when he said he’s never letting another superstar become bigger than the company ever again.
Which is such a pathetic mindset because if a star is just allowed to grow, and they do become bigger than the company, then they are taking the company WITH THEM on that journey and raising the bar for the rest of the roster even at a developmental level to up their game.
Cena getting big and going to Hollywood meant throughout that entire journey he was putting WWE on the map and bringing in younger fans in droves
Vince wasn’t this insecure about things like this. He understood business.
This is why triple k is so quick to pull the plug on organic baby face turns and when they start getting massive pops… case in point Roman and to a lesser extent LA, even then this ***** only cares about not getting overshadowed instead of being grateful of delivering an a grade product.

Any random wrestler can do a better job that Trips honestly at this point. He only hires his buddies like Road Dogg and others. He was shameless enough of taking all the credit for the work done by Ryan Ward and Regal in NXT. He legitimately hates the guy just because he got over of his own accord & the fans love him, it must be pretty deflating because LA Knight has everything & he keeps taking his ring work to another level. It’s a tough one for him because H would love nothing more than for him to see out the end of his contract.

This was such a fantastic match, and such a great reminder of what an asset Finn Balor is. I mean granted, he was among his peeps, but not only was he over like gangbusters, he was also the stand-out performer in this match, which is not something you usually get to say after a CM Punk match.
Btw remember when there were rumors swirling that Finn Balor was going to get a big push in 2025? I think that might have also been one of those 'I'll strap a rocket to ya' type of deals.

Finally managed to finish episode 1,
Becky is a great wrestler but she seems like an insufferable person to be around in real-life. I mean she is married to cringe lord so should we really be surprised? But I'm not sure if I needed to see a 50 min ep/ of a worked reality TV-style documentary to find that out.
Lyra came off as a giant nerd in this. Maybe Cornette had a point when he said all the marks were getting into the wrestling business. The funniest part was when they showed the crowd chanting 'one more time' after heel Becky knocked the daylights out of babyface Lyra with her finisher.

I’m on episode 2 now, and man, he has such an easy tell when he’s lying through his teeth, and it’s funny that he thinks he comes across well for how he handled the R-Truth situation, he basically admitted he wanted to let him go due to his huge ego and saw no value in him. I didn’t realise how close Road Dog & Truth remained, Road Dog came across ok even if he did have a bias here, at least he has never been a racist scumbag.

That shot where they are the beach, man what the hell? I just listened to Austin’s interview with CCV which was hilarious for other reasons I wont go into just yet but he mentioned how wrestling now lacks killers, guys you would legit think twice about tackling, someone like a Lesnar still has that edge but nobody else, you’re right too many marks and you got that dork walking the beach man, what? If he just kept walking towards the Ocean and never stopped - I’d pop for Seth Rollins for the first time in his career.

The Rocket is waiting to launch in 2035
I felt that match was all Punk mostly due to his creativity again & while Balor was a great dance partner, Punk’s overall ring generalship was the standout thing for me. I know Balor is capable of better though, but for TV, he adjusted nicely; I do feel he really brings it with the demon paint, and unfortunately we wont ever see that under H, that was a main-event calibre gimmick they never fully exploited, and even worse when he got a push from 4/10 during the black & gold days, you just question what kind of booker he really was, just a delegator who couldn’t wait to open the shows like he was Heyman in the 90’s.
Ciampa is leaving too sadly, that street fight with Gargano - one of the best modern gimmick matches ever.

Ciampa wasn't even given a proper chance on the main roster. He has the mic skills and character work to get over with the casuals. In addition he is already a pretty good worker. Nose has booked so much good talent to fail just so that his favorites keep getting unwarranted pushes.The Rocket is waiting to launch in 2035
