The Wrestling Discussion Thread

Recommend this vlog, wish it was longer:

Hit me right in the feels, was somebody cutting onions when he ran to the back after the match with Gunther
:yk3 And 100% I would be like Charlotte in that video lol

This vlog & that pod with Steph is kind of making me realise this is the end for him, I hope we can all get closure this Monday on RAW.

Truly the best of his era and decades from now he will be discussed in the same breath as Flair & Shawn when it comes to the greatest in-ring performers in history. The respect he commands in the dressing room just reinforces what a legend he is, there’s not a single person he hasn’t inspired.

I think a proper farewell tour would have been too much for AJ.

Just Punk & Joe left now :( Bryan is pretty much retired as well.

The gameplay will be the same but they’ve returned some of the match-types we loved and made it a bit more interactive, add in the Punk Showcase mode and 2k26 might actually be worth it this year when there is a sale. I wonder if they will include the Summer of Punk or leave it out due to Vince, would be a huge shame.

But man, can’t believe they have added ROH Punk & even got Miseria Cantare!!! @RedwoodOriginal

I was just rewatching his entrance at AEW Revolution in 2022 and man - with JR in the booth!!!! Those idiot fans did not know what they had man…..he have that audience everything….

Subtle things you don’t notice when you’re in the moment, MJF, such a god damn mark of the golden era of indie wrestling - As a nod to Punk’s feud with Raven & responding to the mind games, he sits in the corner, as did Raven, all those years ago for the dog collar match he had with Punk! This is what Punk feuds in AEW were before the bell even rang, the depth of psychology was unreal and even before he came back to the E, I said this is just like the rebirth of Shawn’s second run in the 2000’s, such was the quality of his work man!

Bring back Vinnie Mac!

Yes he's a weirdo with strange kinks but you have to understand he's American and its normal there to be weirdo.

Other than that, the man's freak genius and knows how to put on a crazy show brother.

There’s a lot which he could get done for, but he’s innocent in this case, this gold digger created this storm after the cheques stopped being deposited into her account, when it comes elite whoring, this is something I’ve never seen before. She seems like a real mental case, I mean what kind of person is happy for another human to take a dump on their head and be cool with it, and she was, and didn’t complain about any of it lol Just look at them gifts.

Ramadan Mubarak brother and everyone else @Suleiman @Rana , I took my ball home but welcomed back thanks to the diplomacy of the Netflix CEO & Nick Khan
:ykBut there’s an NDA that had to be signed in regards to the legendary lower order T20I specialist
:bobs . Completely agree on Punk, the one reason I still tune in to this, even after 10+ years he is still the best in the world and easily the greatest WHC of all time with the current lineage of the belt and we’ve not even scratched the surface with his character.

I had a big laugh over this:

I’ve never seen WWE plug AJ as much as they have recently for the show in Atlanta, despite my strong opinions, I am glad he is being honoured properly regardless of whether or not in leads to something more.
Welcome back brother, and Ramazan Mubarak to you aswell. Sorry for the late reply. I had been meaning to get back to you but been caught up with stuff and kept forgetting. :jimmy

Ngl I was worried Triple H sent some goons to your house but glad to see you back. This thread was not the same without you. Was definitely missing your presence when a certain riff raff jobber infiltrated this place :afridi1

Nice one bro, missed you guys but I had been handcuffed like Austin (I did try reaching on the older platform but that’s censored in Pak now I believe), bah gawd the jobbers will feel the power of the Ultimate Warrior
:yk3

Are you excited for the show in Atlanta? I am going to check out the replay on Wednesday, it might be the day 4/10 finally figures out how to book AJ, but it may be too late :(

I feel like the E need AJ for WM, but lets see what happens.

This tore me up and I shed some tears, but my heart is full, the tribute for AJ was beautiful, I am ignoring the show as a whole, but they done him justice and especially what his legacy means to fans and his peers. I had flash backs to the early 2000’s, never would I dream off Undertaker coming down the ramp with the entire locker room behind him, just to pay respect to AJ Styles in the biggest way imaginable.

M Nawaz to entire England batting line up in his initial overs: I’m gonna put a rocket on ya :asghar

This meme won’t die until this stooge is in power

Did you see how he came out for the final segment only when the camera’s were on, during the dark segment he did not enter the ring.

Hopefully Vince buys the WWE back with the help of the Saudi’s, Vince opened the doors for Riyad Season, so if he wants to get back into the business, they need to return the debt to him; Vince can then properly transition the ownership of the company to Shane McMahon.

WWE isn't global enough for 2026 audience.

They go to Saudi every year multiple times and yet tere's no Mohammad Hasaan or even Daivari. Might as well get a Indian, Pakistani star also at this point.

If we can get a guy like Turki who made a name for himself in boxing promotion based in Middle East in the realm of pro wrestling, we’d be set. Ofc as someone to buy them out.

Am pretty certain the gears are already churning. Wwe is still a cash cow if done right, it’s like myth of Pak cricket that “we have talent but it isn’t being used” except in this case it’s actually true. Developmental and actual rosters are stacked but this idiot is like a passenger trying to fly a state of the art plane.

It’s only a matter of time. You saw how dead the crowd in Atlanta was. This goof better change his ways in this blessed month or it’s game over.

They had Jinder Mahal at one point who I thought was a class act and great champion, but they did the whole deal not just for the India tour, but so they could feed him to Triple H during the India tour; that effectively ended Jinder’s main-event push.

Mustafa Ali was employed there at one point but he was of Pakistani origin and his character revolved around representing all ethnic minority backgrounds in the fight against Uncle Sam. There was immense potential with him and had he not been injured around 2018, he could have been pushed to the championship level; but among asian wrestlers he is the best I’ve ever seen and he’s so good that we underrate him a lot due to his background.

Believe it or not, currently employed by WWE is Ariana Grace who is half Pakistani, the daughter of Santino Marella; she just became the first Pakistani origin star to win a world championship by going over for the knockouts title in TNA.

For Saudi, we’re getting there, WWE just hired a Saudi born wrestler who is training in the PC, they did have another guy but he was more of a mid-carder, but in terms of being a draw, they’ve used Sami Zayn a lot as a feature attraction for the Saudi shows as he’s muslim.

But yeah, Americans in 2026 would be too sensitive to someone like a Hassan or Tiger Singh, heck Hassan was too much in 2005 for them, the product had evolved beyond the typical foreign heel but Hassan was a unique performer and destined to be world champion.

It was a very hard crowd and it took so much for them to wake up, but the blame should solely be with H because it was a horrific episode of TV on the road to Wrestlemania, he is too cushioned behind the wall off Netflix that he can’t be scrutinised by segment. I don’t know what kind of promo that was from Heyman? And such a crap spot for Lesnar really, at the Rumble I am certain he forced his own elimination after H disrespected him with the entrance of Jey Uso, Lesnar’s on his way out to. Terrible people management due to H’s huge ego and development talent’s full potential wont be realised under him.

Although I don't think Shane would be a good booker, they could have someone like HBK or another professional to be the main booker while Vince can do his thing in the mainevents or certain feuds. Like atleast have big matches feel big. Every thing in last 1 year just feels like a regular thing. Like they've forgotten to actually make the audience care about the stars.
TKO is just another business corporation which only understands money language. They'll boot Noseman as well if that keeps happening. This time Cena or Dwayne won't be there to drive audience back in after seeing how average the creative is under the current regime.

Tiger Jeet Singh had it in him for being a great heel.
But his name would have ensured Pakistanis would make fun of him by calling him Tiger Pajeet Singh.

Small criticism of the retirement angle, it just needed an appearance from Samoa Joe:

‘Oooohhhhhh Wendyyyyyyyy!’

AJ Styles managed to wrestle the golden trio in WWE of all places:

Daniel Bryan
CM Punk
Samoa Joe
