What's new

Unbeaten 89 by Pant helps India to a 3-wicket win over Australia in 4th Test, India win series 2-1

Still remember his dismissal against Henry in WC semifinal, he looked clueless against swing bowling conditions, its easy to hit 200 runs in India, but in Australia or NZL you need excellent technique.

He has scored a 150+ century vs Aus in Aus just before the 2015 world cup.

Shubmam Gill’s strokes are so easy on the eyes.

There is class written all over it.

No chance of rain as of now .btw what is Pujara trying to do against Lyon.

That was more a tactical review to mess with Pujara's tactics to Lyon all tour of stepping down.

Aussies are so cunning :smith

Pathetic commentators on channel 7 claiming that there was no shot offered.

When clearly Pujara was playing a shot

Pathetic bias

200 runs for Shubman Gill in his Debut Test series at an average over 50 - By far the best opener of this series from both sides.

After watching gill

I want Pakistan to just replace Shan or Abid with Shafique. What is there to lose man?

BUt Gill had a double century in first class before being selected for the national team. He has scored 2431 at an average of 67. Whereas Shafique has played only 1 first class match. He needs to play atleast 1-2 seasons before being selected. Guess wasim missed a trick here.

Apart from the odd ball, not much in the pitch as I said. Pujara jjust making it more difficult than it is and wasting deliveries while Gill playing on a different pitch.

Exactly. Also Gill has been to few A tours and had played 3 seasons of IPL against international bowlers. So he got plenty of experience at this level which Shafique doesn’t. He needs to play some FC and needs to go to some A tours to get some expereince.

Lot in the pitch when Cummins is bowling with wobbly seam

Even Thakur was getting the ball to swing more than Cummins, Hazlewood and Starc. What is this?

Agreed!
He brought his bat down to play. Even a blind man could see that.

When not offering a shot, the bat remains in the air in the back lift.

This was truly a stupid expertise by the commentator.

Pujara needs to get for Aus to win here. He can waste overs after overs without getting tempted. Gill can fall sooner or later. Runs don't matter here.

Yet India still looks to be playing for a draw.

I think perhaps it’s not a bad ploy to play safe, draw the game n keep the trophy.

India is playing fine. The need to limit loss of wickets in first two sessions.

They can re-assess the situation at Tea

If runs don't matter here then why Australia place fielders on boundry line ? Tim paine is a Poor caption

Warne sooking non stop over Lyon not having a silly point for Pujara.

I am surprised that Aus is not attacking more. No need to think about saving runs. Lots of runs in the bank. Just get one wicket here.

Not sure why they are scared with so many runs. Gill and Pant are the only ones who will bat fast.

India going at a good pace despite Pujara, should get Pant in if Pujara gets out.

Draw incoming unless Gill farms most of the strike

He’s set and going for the runs

He has a point here. Warne is desperate for Aus to get a wicket and that's why he is going non-stop.

Rain nahi Hoti to Kam se Kam overcast condition to rahe yr taki crack open na ho

Be it a draw but I would love to see Gill bat for a long time. A century would be awesome!

His batting is pleasing to the eye.

Love it the channel 7 commentators Slater and James Brayshaw sounding so salty

Warne hates Paine so much too
He has every reason to hate him. When Warne is called best Australian player never to lead Australia, what are Paine's credentials to lead Australia?

It's a draw or Aus win. Wickets will come in a cluster when the roller effect disappears in the second session.

Cummins has been completely relentless in his line of attack.

At this point in the series I wouldn't count anything out. 4 runs an over isn't unthinkable, just takes a big innings from Gill or Pant.

Who listens to the C7 commies, amazing that there are people that listen to them.

I dunno man.
I just can’t stand Manjrekar.

He has such a thick accent and then he chews so hard on every third word as if he is gonna break his own jaw.

It may require more than 4 runs on over with rain taking some overs away.

People just keep on saying this and that but there isnt much in it apart from a few balls from Cummins, It was the same in Sydney where India got through due to resilience and some luck.

Wickets may fall soon. Hostile stuff from Cummins

So the Protocol Wall got launched as soon as Rohit got out. Good!

If anyone thought that India had any chance to win this match today, he has no idea about the History of Gabba, of 5th day and of Australian tours.

Veteran Pujara fighting with his back to the wall, while Gill is the young gladiator.
