A new video of Hizbul Mujahideen has surfaced on social media, showing a group of armed militants greeting and hugging each other, in a reminder of the campaign undertaken by its erstwhile commander Burhan Wani before he was killed in an encounter three months back.

In the four-and-a-half minute video, 12 militants are seen in an orchard, carrying weapons, including INSAS rifles apparently snatched from police forces.

They are seen greeting and hugging each other as well as laughing in an attempt to lure youth to join militancy.

Wani had actively used social media to attract the youth to militancy. He made many such propaganda videos before he was killed in the encounter with security forces on July 8.

In another video which also surfaced recently, the new Hizb commander Zakir Rashid Bhat alias “Musa” is seen asking youth to join militancy by snatching rifles from security forces.

During the recent months, there have been a number of incidents in which weapons were snatched or looted from police and security personnel. At least 67 rifles have so far been snatched. These include INSAS and Carbine rifles, which are exclusively used by the police and security forces.

No they don't and I have no idea.

He isn't living in Pakistan secretly or hiding here. Everyone knows that he lives here and he participate in different events openly he is still active in Pakistani media there are many recent interviews of him from home/office. Here are 2 interviews of him from last year so it's not like Pakistan is hiding him from the world like India claim's in Daub Ibrahim's case

I think it's becoming clear as recent decades have shown that the 'terrorism' label has been given to any Muslim taking up arms outside of a nationalist army, regardless of whether it's justified or not. I think American credibility failed in this regard when they deemed Hamas a terrorist outfit when it was actually a military wing of democratic government.

I wouldn't make too much of it and the geopolitical situation means that America will let Indians have the bragging rights on this one.

It's a cheap shot and nothing too great in the overall context.

This was done to appease Modi before his visit to meet Trump. No doubt in return India will offer some sort of business to Trump.

Nobody can take Americans seriously. Not only are they arming and supporting terrorists but have killed more civliians in the last month than all terror attacks in Europe in the last 12 years.

It's like an armed robber accusing a pick pocket of theft.

Modi and Trump, what a world we live in. It's like Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini have been reincarnated. If you're wondering who the third one is, got to be none other than Netanyahu

Well the are no better then the Indian soldiers who regularly blind and kill innocent Kashmiris. Both are terrorist groups in my eyes.

We can strike Indian targets anywhere, any time: Hizb chief Syed Salahuddin[

Hizb-ul-Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin has claimed that members of the militant outfit have the ability to hit Indian targets anywhere, at any time and that the Hizb had launched many operations against Indian forces in Kashmir.

Salahuddin, who was recently designated as a global terrorist by the U.S., in an interview with Pakistani TV programme Jirga on Sunday, said his struggle ''is for the freedom of Kashmir from India.''

“We have launched attacks against Indian forces and security installations and will continue to do so. We can strike anywhere in India at the time of our choosing. But we will not launch attacks against civilians or any public places,” said Salahuddin, whose real name is Mohmmad Yousuf Shah.

Salahuddin is based in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and roams freely between Rawalpindi and Muzaffarabad. He also heads the United Jihad Council, an alliance of 13 militant organisations.

When asked where he gets the weapons to fight Indian forces, Salahuddin said he purchased them from the international market. He could provide any weapon from the international market if the required money was given to him, he claimed.

Don't think we will hear statements like we won't allow our soil to be used for spreading terrorism in neighbouring countries from Pakistani army officials and politicians for atleast few weeks.

U.K. cancels Wani rally after India’s protest

The Birmingham Council has withdrawn permission for a rally due to take place on the death anniversary of Burhan Wani, two days after India raised its concerns about the event taking place.

“We took a booking for a peaceful rally highlighting the human rights abuse in Kashmir. However, we are now aware of concerns raised about the promotional leaflet, and having assessed the material, have not given permission for the use of Victoria Square,” said a spokesperson for the Birmingham City Council, referring to the square at the heart of the city.

Note verbale

Indian Deputy High Commissioner Dinesh Patnaik, whose office sent a “note verbale” on the matter to the British Foreign Office on Monday, said they were pleased that the concerns had been taken seriously and addressed.

Wani was killed with two other militants in Anantnag district on July 8 last year, triggering protests across the Valley, following a mission that Indian security agencies described as the “biggest ever success” in recent times.

Poster on social media

A poster for the planned event circulating on social media, with a picture of the Hizbul Mujahideen commander, called on people to join the “Kashmir Rally” in Birmingham on Saturday afternoon that remembered “Burhan Wani’s martyrdom and the cataclysmic aftermath”.

India has become increasingly vocal in expressing its concern about Britain’s apparent willingness to allow anti-Indian activity to flourish on its shores, stressing how it contrasted with India’s own approach to its allies.

“We are concerned that in Britain where such terrorist incidents are taking place, their authorities would allow for the celebration of a terrorist,” said Mr. Patnaik earlier this week.

Posters circulated on social media advertising the event carried a picture of the late commander and said: “We will take back what is ours forcefully. We will not rest until Kashmir is free from Kuffars and hoist the flag of Islamic Ummah.”

Organisers of the proposed rally were unavailable for comment.

Wani had been a leader of Hizbul Mujahideen, a Kashmir separatist group which has reportedly been classed as a terrorist organisation by the European Union, the US and India.
